Meggenhorn Castle (Schloss Meggenhorn) is a castle in Meggen near the Swiss city of Lucerne. It was built in 1868/70 by Edouad Hofer-Grosjean from Mulhouse and in 1926 equipped with a Welte Philharmonic Organ. It is surrounded by vine yards and is considered to be the municipality's symbol. Today, it is mostly used as a tourist attraction and reception venue. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

The castle rises between Lucerne and Meggen on a hill sloping down to the lake and is surrounded by meadows and forests. It consists of the actual castle, the castle chapel and the castle gardens surrounding the castle with the vineyard. The castle grounds are public and belong to the municipality of Meggen.

A visit to a medieval Swiss castle
Bellinzona's castles are considered amongst the finest examples of medieval fortification architecture in Switzerland, hence their designation as a Unesco World Heritage site. Heidegg is a total experience of the palace and park. Nowhere else can be found in such a small space such a diverse park experience, ranging from sunny vineyards to the romantic views, from Chestnut Avenue to the Rose Garden on the baroque terrace.

Endlich Sommer. Zeit wieder für ein paar Kopteraufnahmen. Mit diesem Video starte ich in meine Kopteraufnahmen Session 2019. Gefilmt habe ich dieses Video vor einer Woche an einem Freitagabend. Die Abendstimmung dort war mal wieder fenomenal gewesen. Falls ihr mal in Luzern seit, solltet ihr unbedingt zum Schloss Meggenhorn gehen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.
Ihr fragt euch bestimmt, warum ich wieder ein Kopter-Video dort gemacht habe. Dies hat den einfachen Grund; Die letzte Aufnahme vom Schloss Meggenhorn war leider ohne SD-Karte aufgenommen worden und hatte deshalb auch nur eine geringe Pixel-Zahl gehabt (720p). Sorry!
