South Florida Shore Diving: Dania Beach Erojacks
The Dania Beach Erojacks is an artificial reef running perpendicular to the shore in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. This is an excellent site for free diving and scuba diving from the shore. You can access the site through the state park (formerly called John U. Lloyd, but now named Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park). The reef was deployed in 1967, and stretches all the way out to the first set of natural ledges and reef. This video also includes identification of some of the more common marine inhabitance seen along the way.
This dive was on August 12th 2017.
The music is from the Youtube music library and is rights free under common use.
It was hard to find the deployment date for this reef, but it is listed in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Report listed below. I also included another link to a cool research project on the Jacks.

Dania Beach Erojacks / Eurojacks scuba diving near Hollywood Beach
The Dania Beach Erojacks / Eurojacks is an artificial reef constructed of dolos, concrete objects that resemble jacks children play with, except these are about five feet tall! Located in John U. Lloyd Beach State Park, the Dania beach Erojacks run east-west and is located 300 feet offshore, directly in front of the white post that says “JAX” on the beach. The Dania Beach Erojacks run for about 1,500 feet. This South Florida Beach dive location is great for scuba diving and is not bad for snorkeling.
The Dania Beach Erojacks are a busy boating area and you MUST use a dive flag when scuba diving

Florida Shore Diving: Lauderdale-by-the-Sea
This is a great shore dive here in South Florida at Lauderdale-by-the-sea just off of commercial Blvd. This stretch of coast is known as the capital of shore diving in Florida for good reason. There are plenty of natural ledges to explore just off the beach, but you do have to swim out a bit to reach them. We also investigated the Biorock reef that was installed in 2011. This is an interesting concept that involves electricity to precipitate minerals on a metal structure in order to build limestone. The project has been discontinued, but this will show you what has developed over the past seven years.
I hope you enjoy the video, and please leave any comments below.

Miami Beach is a coastal resort city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. It was incorporated on March 26, 1915. The municipality is located on a variety of natural and man-made barrier islands between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, the latter of which separates the Beach from Miami. The neighborhood of South Beach, comprising the southernmost 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2) of Miami Beach, along with downtown Miami and the Port of Miami, collectively form the commercial center of South Florida. As of the 2010 census, Miami Beach had a total population of 87,779. It has been one of America's pre-eminent beach resorts since the early 20th century.
In 1979, Miami Beach's Art Deco Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Art Deco District is the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world and comprises hundreds of hotels, apartments and other structures erected between 1923 and 1943. Mediterranean, Streamline Moderne and Art Deco are all represented in the District. The Historic District is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the East, Lenox Court on the West, 6th Street on the South and Dade Boulevard along the Collins Canal to the North. The movement to preserve the Art Deco District's architectural heritage was led by former interior designer Barbara Capitman, who now has a street in the District named in her honor

3 Things before you Snorkel Lauderdale by the Sea
I recently went snorkeling at Lauderdale by the sea in Florida. This is a really great place for beginner snorkelers to check out the coral reefs in the area.
I found that the first couple times I went there I was unsure of how far out to swim and didn't have a great experience the first couple times because of it. So I put this video together to help people understand where to swim to find the fish and coral that they want. We saw puffer fish, box fish, angel fish, eels, and tons more.

All video and music were done by Micah Blake
Here is the video of where I stayed when I was there, it was only a 2 minutes walk to the beach.
If you are in there area this is a great place to stay
I did a 15 minute video of amazing sunrise pictures and videos with relaxing piano music.
And here is about 10 minutes of the fish and coral that I video taped with original music that makes you feel like you are there floating in the waves with us.

Beautiful Day Diving off Dania beach FL, hogfish, shark, big yellow jack
A beautiful day of diving off Dania beach. The water out front was a little green but just south off Hollywood I found crystal Caribbean blue. I saw several good-sized hogs and a few grouper but ended up bringing home a very nice yellow jack.

Magical Diving at Lauderdale By The Sea
Calm seas and blue skies drew the team to Lauderdale By The Sea, where coral domes and dramatic reef structures await just off the beach. Not long after descending, the Beach Diver team was enveloped in a bait ball that lasted a quarter hour before they emerged in most unexpected setting.
