In Seafront, gelegen in het unieke kader van de oude Zeebrugse vismijn, maak je kennis met de geschiedenis van de haven en de visserij in #Zeebrugge. Daarnaast kan je afdalen in het ruim van de Russische onderzeeër Foxtrot (tot eind 2018) en even aan het roer staan van het lichtschip West-Hinder. Plezier voor jong en oud verzekerd!

Aan de kassa werden we zeer vriendelijk verwelkomd en kregen we door mijn lerarenkaart het voordeeltarief. Ik mocht als leerkracht gratis binnen en de rest van mijn gezelschap aan voordeeltarief. €8.50. (Paasperiode 2016)
Het te volgen parcours brengt je doorheen 3 hallen naar de kade waar je de duikboot en het lichtschip kan bezichtigen. In de hallen krijg je een tentoonstelling van alles wat met de zeevaart en visserij te maken heeft. Sommige expo's zijn wel aan vernieuwing toe of hebben een grondige opknapbeurt nodig. Een aantal interactieve spelen werkten ook maar half. Het is wel veel lezen terwijl je de dag van vandaag meer interactie zou hebben mocht dit met audiobegeleiding kunnen. De duikboot is zeker het hoogtepunt. Ik kan me wel voorstellen dat mensen die de volle pot moeten betalen dit wat veel vinden. Je kan de duikboot en het lichtschip ook apart bezoeken. Hiervoor dien je wel rechtstreeks aan te melden op het lichtschip. Opgelet, voor het bezoeken van de duikboot is enige lenigheid wel vereist. De verschillende compartimenten zijn er namelijk gescheiden door een kruipgat met diameter van ruim 1 meter. Wij waren er met 3 kinderen respectievelijk 15 en 13 jaar en ook zij waren onder de indruk van de 2 boten.

How to get from Zeebrugge to Bruges
I was lucky enough to visit Bruges on my last cruise. It is such an interesting place, made up primarily of, cobbled streets, market squares, and historic buildings. I would definitely recommend a visit if you ever get the chance!

The Coast Tram is a public transport service connecting the cities and towns along the entire Belgian (West Flanders) coast, between De Panne near the French border and Knokke-Heist. At 68 km (42 miles) in length, it is the longest tram line in the world, as well as one of the few interurban tramways in the world to remain in operation. The line is built at 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) metre gauge and fully electrified at 600 V DC.

The service makes 69 stops along the 68 km long line, with a tram running every ten minutes during the peak summer months (every 20 mins in the winter months), during which it is used by over 3 million passengers. The service has recently been made more accessible through the addition of low-floor centre sections to existing vehicles, and the introduction of a few new HermeLijn low-floor trams.
