The Ultimate Local’s Guide to Chicago || Gatekeepers
Next stop: The windy city of Chicago with gatekeeper Vic Lloyd, one of the founders of a local streetwear shop in the city. From chowing down on some incredible burgers, to cracking the code to enter a speakeasy-like magic lounge, to grabbing a beer and playing a quick game of curling, this is a Chicago experience you can't find in a typical brochure.
In every city there’s someone who’s connected, who knows where to go on a slow Monday night and can get a table anywhere they want on a Friday - in every city there’s a Gatekeeper. In this Thrillist travel show, we’re sending our host across the country to meet up with these Gatekeepers and experience first hand everything you should make sure to do/eat/drink, one city at a time.

We Went To The LARGEST Starbucks In The World - Chicago Starbucks Reserve Roastery Review
The Starbucks reserve roastery just opened in Chicago, and we spent 4 hours and over $200 trying as many menu items as possible. This Starbucks in the largest one in the world, with 4 floors and an outdoor roof deck. Don't expect to order your favorite Starbucks drink here, like a pumpkin spice latte or peppermint mocha, they have a special menu, and the prices are pretty steep! For a cup of reserve coffee it costs $15, but it's made in this incredible syphon and the taste is phenomenal. Also fantastic is the food, the entire 3rd floor is a restaurant with homemade food made on the premise. Everything we had was incredible, especially the cannoli. If you want to see more family review videos, let me know! Mad love Bobby...Dessi...Rose...and Art! XOXO

Chicago Speakeasy Bar | The Drifter | Burlesque Sideshows & Tarot Cards
On this episode of On Foodable Side Dish we meet Liz Pearce, the managing partner at The Drifter, an authentic speakeasy from Chicago’s Prohibition era. The bar is hidden behind a door that poses as a decorated, wooden shelf on a wall inside a restaurant called The Green Door Tavern. Even the restaurant’s name alludes to the fact that there was a functioning bar inside of the establishment during the 1920s and 1930s. Back then, painting a restaurant's door green indicated the presence of an illicit liquor store or nightclub.

THE WORLD'S LARGEST STARBUCKS
World's largest Starbucks is now open in Chicago, IL.
It is located on the corner of Chicago's Michigan Avenue and Erie Street. Four story roasters at - 35,000 square feet, its largest.
My friend and I got the chance to go the very first day they opened.
We waited around 1hr to get inside , it was super cold and windy (duh its the Windy City). The service was outstanding considering it was their first day on the job. The food was also great, some may say its a little pricey, but what do you expect. It was quite the experience. All in all it was very much worth it.
