AMITABHA STUPA AND PEACE PARK-MEDICINE WHEEL-SEDONA,AZ-EP39
Sedona is well known for its energy vortexes, but Mark and I explored another place that was just as powerful. Thanks James A. for telling us about the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park. We love it when our viewers suggest to see fantastic places they have already experienced.
It’s a Buddhist shrine and a must see place for spiritual seekers around the world. This small Tara Stupa is a place for prayer, meditation and healing in a sacred place. Being together with the pine trees and nestled near the mountains, it is an absolutely peaceful place by itself. Being together with other people, of like minds while you're there, can be powerful and transforming.
The Stupa is located in West Sedona in the Peace Park ... perfect name for the park! It is literally at the end of a street, in a neighborhood that borders one of the mountain ranges areas.

Sedona & Red Rock State Park, Arizona
02-09-2015 Produced by Erick F Dircks
Off to Red Rock State Park, via Sedona, and other fun spots along the way. Met many people at the Red Rock Ranger Station. They told us where we could go to capture the most beauty in the time we allowed ourselves. It was a very long & rewarding day, and rewarded ourselves to Hog Wild barbecue, where you could Eat In or Pig Out. We ate in, but Pig Out anyway! Back to camp we go. Have everything ready for our train ride, all cameras, camcorders, and GoPro all charged! We all are ready for our last fun adventure after our four night stay at Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Not only was Dead Horse Ranch beautiful, it is right in the middle of everything around Sedona, AZ. We kept very busy the 4 days we were here, with the 5th day ahead of us!

Sedona Arizona | The Most Beautiful Place on Earth?
The city of Sedona, Arizona claims to be The Most Beautiful Place on Earth, and we just had to check it out for ourselves.
Sedona is located about 2 hours North of the Phoenix, Arizona area and has a slightly cooler climate than most of its desert neighbors. It is a land of rustic red sandstone found nowhere else on Earth. Many people even claim that there are many Vortices (plural for vortex) surrounding the city area, and that draws a lot of spiritualists to the area.
Archaeologists believe that Sedona has been inhabited for up to 13,000 years by various tribes of people. Some even settled in the area permanently and build dwellings on the sides of the cliffs. You can visit some of those ancient ruins today.
In this video we set out to visit the following locations:
Downtown Sedona
Bell Rock
Red Rock State Park
Coconino National Forest
Honanki Ruins
Chapel on the Rock
Devil's Bridge
Amitabha Stupa Peace Park

Beautiful scenic trip from Sedona to Flagstaff by John Torrey
When we took our Jeep Tour one of the things that was recommend to do by our tour guide was to take the drive from Sedona to Flagstaff through the mountains (route 89A) that it was so beautiful. He was right... We took a drive on the curvy, twisty roads and had a great time. The view of the mountains and the forest scenery were out of this world. What a great suggestion... Thanks to the Jeep Tour guide Cowboy Mike. Have you ever taken this drive? Please do. For more info. go to: scottsdaleluxuryhomepro.com

Places to see in ( Sedona - USA )
Places to see in ( Sedona - USA )
Sedona is an Arizona desert town near Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community. Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots.
Nestled amid striking red sandstone formations at the south end of the 16-mile Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona attracts spiritual seekers, artists and healers, as well as day-trippers from Phoenix trying to escape the oppressive heat. Many New Age types believe that this area is the center of vortexes (not 'vortices' here in Sedona) that radiate the earth's power, and you'll find all sorts of alternative medicines and practices on display. More tangibly, the surrounding canyons offer outstanding hiking, biking, swimming and camping.
The town itself bustles with art galleries and expensive gourmet restaurants. In summer the traffic and the crowds can be heavy. Regionally, Oak Creek Canyon begins north of Uptown Sedona; the Village of Oak Creek, however, is south of the city.
Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness.
Sedona is located in the Upper Sonoran Desert of northern Arizona. Sedona has mild winters and hot summers. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.2 square miles (49.7 km2), of which 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.22%, is water. The red rocks of Sedona are formed by a unique layer of rock known as the Schnebly Hill Formation. The Schnebly Hill Formation is a thick layer of red to orange-colored sandstone found only in the Sedona vicinity. The sandstone, a member of the Supai Group, was deposited during the Permian Period.

Sedona Off-Road - Broken Arrow Trail, Soldiers Pass, Schnebly Hill, Red Rock Powerline
On this adventure we headed across state lines to Sedona Arizona for a trip we had been planning for 2 months. We knew Sedona was a very scenic place with all the red rocks but we also heard there were some amazing trails out there that we needed to go check out. So along with some of our great friends, we packed up and headed out for a long weekend of wheeling.
TrailRecon Amazon Shop:
Once everyone in our group made their way to Sedona, we all met for some good food, drinks and a little comradery at the Sedona Pizza Company before we kicked things off the next morning. If you visit Sedona, I highly recommend making this a stop on your list.
The next morning bright and early we met up at the Coffee Pot Restaurant for breakfast which came highly recommended. We aired down, did a quick gear check and had a short drivers meeting to discuss the days plans and headed out.
The first trail of the day was going to be Broken Arrow which was just a few miles down the road. This was the one trail we were all the most excited about.
The Broken Arrow trail did not disappoint. This 3.8 mile long trail had some great obstacles at almost every turn and the views of the red rocks all around never got old. As we made our way to the top of Devils Staircase, are anticipation level started to climb. Because with all the rain that morning, we knew it might be a bit of a challenge.
Devils Staircase really is much steeper than it does on camera for sure, but we all had a blast making our way down. However there were a couple in our group that just had to see if they could make their way up and without a doubt watching Little Big Jeep hammer their way up might have been the highlight of the day.
Broken Arrow is a very popular trail and we must have come across at least 15 Tour guided Jeeps along the way.
As we made our way off broken arrow it was time to stop for lunch, soak in the surroundings and get ready for Soldier Pass which was the next trail on the agenda.
The trailhead to soldiers pass was just a few miles down the road from broken arrow. This trail had a couple obstacles along the way, but not as difficult as broken arrow. But once again, the amazing scenery was around every corner
There are 2 must see destination along soldiers pass, the first one we stopped at was Devil’s Kitchen which is a massive sink hole and there are no railis, so watch your step. The second stop is the Seven Apache Pools, a very remarkable spot to visit
On our third and last trail run of the day to Schneblys Hill, mother nature decided to turn on the water works and I think everyone agreed that it made going up this mountain much more scenic with all the water falls coming off the rocks. This trail is easy and you really don’t even need 4 week drive. The gate was close half way through, but no worries as the views at this spot were breathtaking.
On day 2 we planned on doing Red Rock Powerline trail and then take the optional off shoot to Outlaw trail. This trail is just over 30 miles round trip and we expected it to take a up the whole day. This trail is rated as difficult, but aside from a couple small obstacles that you would want to have high clearance, it was that bad at all.
From all the rain the night before, the mud was exceptionally thick and I everyones tires were really gummed up which made things a little interesting going up the side of Black Mountain.
The ruins at the end of the Outlaw trail exceeded all our expectations. These ruins date back to the 1100’s and to see so much of it standing was very cool. This is a must-see destination and if you are out in Sedona. There is a flat dirt road that you can take to go straight there, but I think taking the Red Rock Powerline road is the best way to do it.
Sedona's Beauty
Scenery and art from Oak Creek Canyon and the region around Sedona, Arizona. Filmed and photographed in early May 2012. Sedona is known for its majestic red cliffs and mountains. Spectacular scenery surrounds an urban setting in the midst of nature, canyons and National Parks. While editing in the camera one of my memory cards with 4 Gig of video went bad and I was unable to recover its contents. So, you may notice few clips of video.
