EDINBURGH & SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS TOUR | Scotland, United Kingdom
My heart is full. I can't believe I've seen this beauty almost a year ago. From City of Edinburgh to the Highlands real quick. From chasing Harry Potter sites and inspo to finding Nessie at Loch Ness. Haha. It's a bit boring but I love how the highlands transitioned from green and brown to pure snow. Amazing! ????

Edinburgh, Scotland, UK summary
longer movie about Edinburgh available here:
Edinburgh, Scotland UK highlights can be seen in three days. On day One: Royal Mile and Castle; Day Two: New Town, National Museum of History and shopping; Day Three: to the Royal Yacht Britannia at Leith waterfront, then the National Gallery of Art and free time.
The best place to begin is a few blocks in front of Edinburgh Castle, high above the city where Edinburgh was first settled. It’s a lovely downhill walk from here along what is called the Royal Mile which is anchored at one end by the Castle and at the other end by Holyroodhouse Palace, one of the queen’s summer homes in Scotland. This route has one of the most concentrated collections of historic sights in Europe, along with attractive little shops and many tempting restaurants and pubs. Several former homes on the Royal Mile are open as museums, giving you a vivid idea of what domestic life was like four hundred years ago.
Edinburgh’s Old Town has retained many of its original buildings and the 18th century New Town is also well-preserved, both still functioning as a great examples of healthy urban neighborhoods. This large number of authentic buildings presents you with a rare chance to experience genuine historic settings that have been beautifully preserved, unlike so many destinations that got modernized. and then attempt to re-create an “authentic reproduction” of the past. Edinburgh is the real thing.

Holiday in Scotland (Edinburgh)
Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland
Driving in England & Scotland - From Cambridge to Edinburgh 6 hrs 45 mins
This trip is certainly one of the most inspiring trips I've ever been to.
A few months ago, I wrote an orchestral piece based on Celtic jigs and entered a composition competition organised by the Really Terrible Orchestra, based in Edinburgh. Then one day, completely out of the blue, they informed me that my entry had won their competition and invited me to Edinburgh to witness their concert and establish networking opportunities with them.
As I am a freelance music composer who is mainly inspired by influential landscapes and cultures, I decided to drive up to Edinburgh and get even more inspired by the scenery throughout the journey.
Featuring the A1(M) all the way from down South to Edinburgh, it's a long but smooth drive. So enjoy!
This also serves as a sleep aid video, so turn the volume up, put it next to your pillow and let it guide you to sweet dreams smoothly as if you're a passenger in this car! Please visit for more of these videos from me.

UK: SCOTLAND: EDINBURGH: 3.5 MILLION POUND MOSQUE OPENS
Arabic/Eng/Nat
Muslims have been celebrating the completion of a 3.5 (m) million pound (5.7 (m) million U-S dollar) mosque in, Scotland's capital Edinburgh.
Much of the building was paid for by Saudi Arabia and it was opened by Saudi Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd.
Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd arrived on Friday at the mosque in Edinburgh - named after his father King Fahd - to officially open it.
The Saudis paid most of the 3.5 (m) million pound (5.7 (m) million U-S dollar) construction costs for the building.
It took a number of years to build and is based on a mix of Islamic and Scottish architectural styles.
The building will be a centre for Scotland's 10-thousand Muslims.
The prince met Scottish Secretary Donald Dewar at the official ceremony.
Dewar said it was a fitting symbol.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
Its a tremendous act of generosity. It's a fitting symbol of the growing confidence of the Muslim community in Scotland and the part they play in enriching our community and the tremendously good relationship between those of us who have been in Scotland for a long time and those who have joined us and are so welcome. And I am very grateful for the generosity that has made it possible. It's a great addition to the Edinburgh landscape.
SUPER CAPTION: Donald Dewar, Scottish Secretary
Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd said the mosque would be a positive addition to Edinburgh.
SOUNDBITE: (Arabic with English translation)
I believe this centre will be a landmark in building a relationship between the Saudi and the Muslim community and the Scottish people and especially the people of Edinburgh.
SUPER CAPTION: Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Fahd
The Prince - who is also the Saudi Minister of State - has so far this year opened mosques in Gibraltar, Spain, Paris and Los Angeles.
