Polizia turistica a Roma?

. .di Martina Martelloni

Save Rome: Preserving the Eternal City in the 21st Century
The late 1990s were an important period for Rome: the Italian government, the municipal administration, and the Vatican invested a huge amount of money in restoring and beautifying monuments all over the city on the eve of the 1999-2000 Millennium/Jubilee. Today, even without such an important occasion on the horizon, the city is undergoing another major facelift, this time largely thanks to the generosity of private companies, in particular prominent fashion labels, which are investing millions of euros to restore some of Rome's most beloved monuments:
Pyramid of G. Cestius, Yagi Tsusho
Colosseum, Tod's Group
Trevi Fountain, Fendi Foundation
Spanish Steps, Bulgari
Other important ancient monuments are getting some much-needed attention from the City of Rome, including the long-neglected Circus Maximus, the Servian Wall that defended Rome from Hannibal during the Second Punic War, and the Aurelianic Wall that defended Rome for 1600 years, until the unification of Italy in 1859-1870.
Let's also not forget the Domus Aurea, the massive palace built by the emperor Nero: the wing on the Esquiline hill, closed for the better part of a decade due to structural instability (with a spectacular collapse in 2010), is about to re-open despite needing millions of euros in additional funding to resolve its problems definitively:
The removal of the last scaffolding on the Pyramid of Cestius later this year will mark the beginning of a new visual splendor for the Eternal City, culminating in the conclusion of the Colosseum restoration in 2016.

Old song from Italy: Daniele Serra - Come le Foglie, 1932
Daniele Serra was born in Italia or in Spain (on some labels his name is Daniel, without „e in the end, suggesting, he could be of a Spanish origin). He recorded a lot of sides since about 1911 for Pathé, La Fonografia Nazionale and La Voce del Padrone (Italian HMV, the label under which Serra recorded most of his sides). He died in New York City, around 1979.
In my site also can be found the beautiful Casucci's evergreen Gigolo, sung by Daniele Serra.
This uploading has been possible thanks to the generosity of someone, who e-mailed me this beautiful song and wanted to remain anonymous. Unfortunately, no more details about the recording were attached to the mail. Nor in the web I could find much more than what's here, in the info. Thanks, my friend, for this present!
Added on 19.12.07:
