Seven Mile Beach is a long beach with strong historical reference just south of Gerringong in the Shoalhaven area of New South Wales, Australia.
In 1933 Seven Mile Beach was used by Sir Charles Kingsford Smith as the runway for the first commercial flight between Australia and New Zealand. It also has a little river/lake.
The area contains a unique littoral rainforest with several rainforest plants at their southern most limit of distribution, as well as a beach/dune/wetland ecosystem and has been used for studying sand dunes and their vegetation. Surrounding the beach are spinifex, coast wattle, tea-tree, coast banksia, she-oaks, bangalay, saw banksia, southern mahogany and burrawangs.
Its bird population includes honeyeaters, currawongs, crimson rosellas, thornbills, kookaburras, ravens, grey fantails, eastern whipbirds and white-throated treecreepoers, and even white-breasted sea eagles

We found some beautiful places around Jervis Bay. Our recent video is from 7 Mile Beach Holiday Park. We spent a couple of days there with bunch of friends .... stunning beaches, nice cabins in camp and friendly people. :)
7 Mile Beach
SkyHunter has been enjoying some sunshine at the beach. Gerroa sits at the northern end of 7 mile beach New South Wales and is ideal for a range run however it was downwind on this particular day so I played it safe and turned round at the halfway mark. You might spot a surf school and the odd lone walker down the beach. P.S. the water was nice!

THE BEST FAMILY HOLIDAY SPOT IN NSW
We don't often travel much over the Christmas and New Year period but we did catch up with some friends down the South Coast at Gerroa, about an hour and half south of Sydney. Seriously, it's a beautiful spot of the world. I would even say it's the best family holiday spot in NSW. We stayed only a short walk to Seven Mile Beach. Which has some amazing sunsets, which isn't usual for an east coast, Australian beach.

Seven Mile Beach at Gerroa - one of Australia's best beaches!
A truly awesome beach, just 1-2hrs south of Sydney. This video is taken at the northern end, where Crooked River joins the beach & provides beautiful calm water thats popular with families & stand-up paddleboarders. The beach is famous for water sports - especially windsurfing, surfing & kite surfing. This video was taken in 'peak' holiday time (between Christmas & New Years), yet the beach never feels crowded. And you can pretty much always find a parking spot!

On the sheltered eastern side of the Booderee National Park is the amazing Hole in the Wall Beach. I take a look around and then explore nearby Scottish Rocks and Bristol Point. It's warm, the water's turquoise and the sun is shining - what more could you want?
