The Elegant Music Society of Shanghai Chinese Orchestra, one of China’s top three leading Chinese orchestras, specialises in the highly-influential Jiangnan sizhu style of music, native to the Jiangnan region in China. Music enthusiasts can look forward to enjoying both traditional Jiangnan sizhu pieces, such as Dancing in Gauze Costume as well as more modern classical pieces. This evening showcases famed erhu soloist Duan Ai Ai, performing The Moon Reflected in Er-Quan.
