You could spend a full day at the Shell Factory. It took us three hours just to walk through the Nature Park. See exotic animals in a beautiful tropical setting. Fabulous!

Shell Factory and Nature Park is located just north of Fort Myers, Florida, at 2787 North Tamiami Trail, Fort Meyers, FL 33903. Telephone is (239) 955-2141. Visit There is a nature park, and a mini-zoo with more than 400 critters. Attractions at Shell Factory include a large souvenir store, and museums for fossils, shells, and natural history. There is also a fudge shop, ice cream store, a Subway, a cafe, and the infamous Swamp Bar, and Capt'n Fishbone's. Shell Factory is open seven days a week. The main store for shells and Florida souvenirs is usually open from 9:30 AM to 6 PM. The Shell Factory is an eclectic mix of shops and museums. There's a lot to see and do for free, but the nature park has a fee. Shell Factory is a natural rest stop for those traveling on US 41 and Alligator Alley, coming or going to Naples, Fl, Miami, FL, and the Florida Keys.

A brand-new video-game arcade boasts 31 state-of-the-art arcade games, including Terminator, Frogger and Deadstorm Pirates.
The places hosts a classic car show, Larry’s Cruise-In, every Monday from 4-7 p.m. It gets about 450 cars during the height of season.

Sea Turtle Fights Its Way to Gulf Waters in Naples, FL
Every sea turtle counts! Usually, staff members here at @RookeryBay let nature run its course, but this hatchling was rescued from a nest on Morgan Beach in the reserve last week. While emerging from its egg, it managed to crawl through a hole in a bivalve shell that was in its path and couldn’t get out of the nest. Our turtle crew records the number of unhatched eggs and empty egg shells found in every nest, and carefully removed this turtle from the shell, enabling it to crawl into the Gulf waters. #seaturtles #SWFL #naplesfl #turtles
