Sherman Library & Gardens is a 2.2 acre Corona del Mar horticultural retreat. These gardens are maintained by volunteers that help wherever needed, donating thousands of hours annually tending baskets and flower beds, and working in the greenhouse and Garden Shop. The library started out as a home and now is a research library. The Library acquires, organizes, and preserves all kinds of materials pertaining to the history of the Pacific Southwest. This is a region we define as including California, Arizona and adjacent portions of Nevada, plus the area around the upper end of the Gulf of California.

Sherman Library & Gardens is a 2.2 acre Corona del Mar horticultural retreat. The Gardens provide a museum of living plants, displayed amidst a setting of immaculate gardens, patios and conservatories linked together by wide brick walkways, beds blooming with seasonal flowers and bubbling tile fountains.

With co-hosts Logan Diaz and Dianna West, OTS takes audiences on a VIP tour of every taste and adventure OC has to offer: from obscure, hidden places to fancy hotspots of the rich and fabulous. Corona del Mar (Spanish for Crown of the Sea) is a part of the City of Newport Beach. Located 50 miles south of Los Angeles, 4 miles west of John Wayne Airport and 70 miles north of San Diego, it is nestled on and at the foot of the San Joaquin Hills fronting the Pacific Ocean. Corona del Mar ranges along a bluff at the south end of Newport Beach and includes some of the citys most prestigious residential areas. When you stand on the hilltop bluff park and look out to the Newport Harbor and Pacific Ocean, you'll be treated to some of California's most romantic beach views. That's why the parks in Corona del Mar are sought out for weddings and romantic proposals. But parking is limited and there is basically no way to prohibit the public from sharing the parks that lead down to Corona del Mar State Beach, so with that in mind, you'll need a permit, but don't get your hopes up for a big ceremony here.

Corona Public Library Foundation - Chairman's Award - 3rd Quarter 2013 Corona, CA
The Corona Public Library Foundation is the 3rd quarter recipient of the Greater Corona Valley Chamber of Commerce Chairman's Award.
The Foundation was formed in 1981 to assist the Library by strengthening its programs and improving service to the public.
With a main purpose of raising funds beyond those available through government channels, the Foundation enables the Library to offer more to the community in the areas of literary services, technology services and building for a future.
The Foundation is able to provide these services and benefits for the community through its ongoing fundraising.
The Library Foundation Legacy Path provides opportunities for the public to be a part of the Library's history by purchasing a brick in the pathway leading into the Library entrance.
Taking your E-waste recycling to Dollar Self Storage supports the Overdrive eMedia Collection which consists of ebooks and audiobooks for both adults and teens. E-waste monies have funded laptops and computers in the library.
The Foundation's Annual Ladders and Linguine fundraising dinner supports the Teens on Main Technology Center of the Library. In partnership with the Corona Firefighters Association 3757, the next event will be held on February 27, 2014. At this popular dinner event of spaghetti and wine features the firefighters as the servers. This event has also funded databases and online resources.
Recently state literacy money has stopped, so the Foundation has stepped up and funded the library's literacy program by providing workbooks for student and teacher pairs. The Foundation has also funded the digitizing of over 90 years of newspapers that are now available online.
It is clear that the Corona Public Library Foundation is committed to building the Library's future by embracing technology and advancing literacy.
