【生ける廃墟】解体直前！新今池ビルを歩く Walk at Derelict buildingShin-Imaike building Abandoned places,Nagoya Japan.
今回は【名古屋の寂しい街・商店街シリーズ】の番外編として「新今池ビル」に行ってきました。1962年10月竣工、地上7階地下2階の新今池ビルは映画館、飲食店、物販店を中心に入居していましたがいつの頃からか多くのテナントが撤退し現在では営業している店がほとんどなくなりました。
今池駅徒歩0分、名古屋の主要道路の広小路通と錦通に挟まれた超一等地のビルですがテナントがほとんどなくなり今では「生ける廃墟」と呼ばれるようになりました。そして数年間廃墟状態でしたが2019年末に解体される事が決定しています。 ★寂しい街、商店街を歩くシリーズ ►

私は下町生まれの下町育ちで親が商店を営んでいた事もあり、小さい頃の遊び場は市場や商店街でした。大型モールや少子高齢化により私の小さな頃と今とではかなり変わってしまいましたが今でも私は商店街が好きです。そして昭和の匂いのする街が大好きです。
栄枯盛衰、商店街は全国的にいわゆるシャッター街が増えておりこのままでは廃墟化してしまうかもしれません。ガラッと変わるのは好きではありませんが静かなる復活を期待しつつ残されている街を自分の目で確かめアーカイブしておきたくなり動画を撮影・アップしました。

I went to the “Shin-Imaike Building” as an extra edition of [Nagoya's Deserted town and street]. Completed in October 1962, the Shin-Imaike Building on the 7th floor and 2nd basement floor was mainly located in movie theaters, restaurants, and other stores. The store is almost gone.
It is a super prime building located between Hirokoji-dori and Nishiki-dori, the main roads of Nagoya, just a 0-minute walk from Imaike Station. It was ruined for several years, but it has been decided to be demolished at the end of 2019. ★ A series of walking in a lonely city, shopping district ►
I was born and grew up in a downtown area where my parents used to run shops, and when I was little, the playground was a market or a shopping street. The big mall and the declining birthrate and the aging of the population have changed the way I was now and now, but I still like the shopping street. And I love the city that smells of Old times.
The rise and fall, the so-called shutter street are increasing nationwide in the shopping district, and it may be ruined in this state. I don't like changing things, but I hoped to see the city left with hopes for a quiet revival, and I wanted to archive it with my own eyes, and I shot and uploaded videos.

The 14th June anniversary tribute from Japanese Rory fans.
Amazing audio track Too Much Alcohol and 8mm film footage came from one audience at Nagoya Japan, 27th January 1974.
We used the same 8mm also in previously uploaded Happy Birthday Rory footage (title: Rory Gallagher - A Million Miles Away - with film Japan 1974, uploaded on 28th March 2008). We are sorry. But this 4 minute footage is probably the only one public available footage of Rory on stage live in Japan.
