Keirin Track Day:
As is now customary, every year a select group of the finest international track sprinters are invited into the exclusive world of Japanese keirin to compete in a special calendar of racing. In 2016 the kokusai (国際, international) keirin includes two former world champions in Shane Perkins (Australia) and Theo Bos (Netherlands), and a silver-medallist at the Rio Olympics in Matthijs Büchli (Netherlands). From October 26th through October 28th these three superstars graced the open-to-the-elements banks of Nagoya keirinjou, the near 50-year-old track racing complex in the west of manufacture-centric metropolis Nagoya. This video is part one in a special mini-series. For a more in-depth look inside the Japanese keirin take a look at Bradley OG's article over on the Conquista website:

Tokyo 2020 Olympic Velodrome Tour at Izu Cycle Center [Cycling Japan]
In this video we'll be doing a tour of the Izu Velodrome, which is the indoor velodrome that Japan will use for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The velodrome is actually located in Izu, Shizuoka, which is a bit far away from Tokyo with some limited access and narrow/congested roads. We just so happened to be visiting the area during a weekend cycling trip with some other cycling friends, and we decided to come in and do a little tour.
Here's a link to the playlist for all videos from our Izu cycling trip.
It was Thuong's first time ever seeing a velodrome, and it was my first time seeing an indoor track. I've ridden numerous outdoor tracks in the US and keirin tracks in Japan, but this facility was completely different, and really impressive.
Hopefully we can make it back one day to watch an event live. Ideally we'd like to make it to watch the Olympics, but it seems like the seating will be pretty limited..

The Shizuoka | Process - The making of HOY bikes.
HOY bikes presents Sir Chris Hoy and master bike designer James Olsen in Process - The making of HOY bikes.
The Shizuoka benefits from a lighter aluminium frame than its predecessor and benefits from the clean looks of internal cable routing, designed specifically for UK bike setups. Size specific tubing means that riders of all sizes have an optimised frame stiffness feel and a revised geometry means a more secure cornering feel with no change to the already popular overall handling feel of the previous model. The Shizuoka is part cyclo-cross bike, part lightweight hybrid and all-round fun. Fast, nimble and wide-ranging , the Shizuoka proves that one bike can do almost everything.

Turn up the volume after 4:25. My camera battery died unfortunately but there was more I wanted to say. I had to use my GoPro and the sound quality is inferior to my main camera. Apologies and enjoy.
