Ms. Lakshmi Narayan Tripathi is a classically trained dancer, choreographer and an activist working to educate society about aids and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Ms. Lakshmi is an eunuch and this 27 year old Thane resident has been working for the upliftment of eunuchs in society through her NGO, Astitva. Ms. Tripathi has graduated with an arts degree from Mithibai College and then pursued a post graduate degree in BharatNatyam. She has also choreographed several stage shows, cut music albums, and has also done projects for TV and Film.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
