Jaisalmer Tourism:
Jaisalmer likewise called as 'The Golden City' is a World Heritage Site. It's renowned for the way of life and the legacy, that that city has absorbed and can distinctively be found in the engineering of houses and landmarks. It lies in the core of Thar Desert and is in nearness of Pakistan. It remains on an edge of yellowish sandstone. It additionally houses some renowned lodgings and Havelis (antiquated homes).
The Golden City of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan is basically unmatched. It was the piece of the popular Silk Route amid the times of yore. The awe inspiring Jaisalmer Fort stands gladly on its property and portrays the stories of the valor and gallantry of the Rajput rulers. Jaisalmer still holds its medieval appeal, which is obvious in its bright tight boulevards, awe inspiring strongholds and royal residences of Rajasthan, lavish havelis and bazaars.
Jaisalmer Tour:
The generally desolate place that is known for Jaisalmer wakes up once consistently amid winters. It is the time when the merriments of Desert Festival gradually begin overwhelming the Desert City. Amid the celebration in Jaisalmer, the city shows the abundance of its way of life and conventions to whatever remains of the world. The celebration communicates the general population's enthusiasm for the life and is a brilliant party of fun, skip, chuckling and enterprise.
Jaisalmer follows its initiation to the twelfth century. History lets us know of Rawal Jaisal, the oldest beneficiary of the Rawal of Deoraj, was disregarded for the royal position of Lodurva and a more youthful relative was delegated ruler. Rawal Jaisal went searching for another area to set up his capital when he ran over sage Eesul. The sage informed him concerning Krishna's prescience which said that a relative of his Yaduvanshi faction would found another kingdom at this same spot. It was in 1156 that Rawal Jaisal built a mud fortress, named it Jaisalmer after himself and announced it his capital.

Although we pre-purchased Jodhpur-to-Jaisalmer train tickets online through IRCTC, we decided to forgo the train for the comfort and convenience of a car and driver. We booked the car and driver the night before in Jodhpur at a small shop right across the street from Pal Haveli Hotel. We got a great deal on the one-way ride, just 2,600 rupees total!
Our car left Jodhpur at 7:00 am. We expected the drive to take five hours, but we made it in less than four!
Our hotel - 1st Gate Home - Fusion - is literally right next door to Jaisalmer Fort. It was by the far the nicest hotel we stayed at during the entire trip! It's a lot more expensive than other hotels in Jaisalmer but quite the bargain if you compare to similar quality hotels in larger cities like New Delhi or Mumbai. The service was outstanding, the decor was impeccable...We highly recommend staying here! The pool, spa, and yoga room were under construction during our stay, but we imagine they'll making fantastic additions to an already stellar hotel! FYI: Fusion is in the name of the hotel because it is jointly owned by Indians and Italians. This is also why they specialize in Italian dishes like pizza and pasta!
We spent most of the afternoon walking the enchanting streets of the Golden City! We also visited two havelis, which are located right next door to each other. The first is government-owned. It is not furnished, but just the architecture alone is a feast for the eyes. Also, the 360-degree views of the city from the rooftop is unparalleled! The second haveli is a fully furnished museum. We were oohing and aahing at the ornate furniture and wall/ceiling embellishments in every room! We recommend both because they complement each other nicely!
The owner of 1st Gate Home Fusion recommend that we take a rickshaw to Bada Bagh to watch the sunset. Bada Bagh is the site of royal cenotaphs, which we only later learned are empty tombs erected as monuments to a person or people whose remains are elsewhere. Bada Bagh is just 6 km from Jaisalmer's city center and well worth a visit; admission is free.
We had dinner at the open-air restaurant Cafe the Kaku. It has a beautiful view of Jaisalmer Fort, which lights up at night! Sadly, the Fort's lights were randomly not turned on the day we visited. Still, we enjoyed the night time view of the city.
We ended the day by trying crash an Indian wedding...one of Glo's dreams (not necessarily to crash an Indian wedding but to be invited to one)! lol. The part was just getting started when we arrived and we were pretty tired, so we stayed just long enough to take in the beautiful, jovial atmosphere. It was very kind of the bride's father to invite us in for a look! Thank you, sir!!
Many thanks for watching!
Happy travels!!

Ladakh: Camel safari is among the most popular tourist activities in Nubra
Camel safari is among the most popular tourist activities in Nubra valley of Ladakh. The place is popular for double humped camel found only in the Ladakh region. Located about 130 km from Leh, Nubra Valley offers adventurous camel rides with spectacular views in Hunder Sand Dunes. The wild bushes of Hunder valley is abundant in camels which are trained by the unemployed youth of the area for tourist camel rides. Hunder used to be a busy trade stopover with caravans of Bactrian camels moving in and out of the Nubra Valley. These camels were let off into the wild after the closure of the silk route. Most of these camels have been domesticated and are now being used for tourist camel rides.

The Crazy Ride 29115 Kms
India, Bhutan and Myanmar tour on Bajaj Pulsar 220cc.
I believe that life in an adventure and the only way to be happy is to 'Live the life you Love & Love the life you Live.
With this in my mind and my hunger for adventure, I set out from Aligarh on 27th March 2016 and rode for (130) days to the 29 states of my Country, Bhutan & Tamu (Myanmar) and completed a total of 29115 kms.
I had no aims or final goals, just one crazy motorcyclist and the long vast roads. I simply wanted to travel and explore my country, experience it's vast and various cultures, food, it's people and places.
The journey was sure a fulfilling experience for me. From riding on dangerous roads, to the hot desert roads, to the cool rainy Western Ghats, the beautiful beaches down south, to the hot dry cities, to the beautiful north eastern states, to riding in the middle of nowhere, experiencing all weather types and terrains and getting lost in the mountains, explored roads less taken and saw some breathtaking views, I got a feel of my country and its amazing regions and weather types. Being a history lover I also got to visit and see some amazing monuments with their ancient intricate architecture. .
Not only did I ride during these 4 months, but also trekked in the northeast, rode to Siachen Base Camp and spent time with our Indian army, sat by the sea in Goa and saw the beautiful sunset, watched the sunrise in Tawang Arunachal (the place of the rising sun) and many more amazing places.
Not forgetting the lips making food, I tried and ate in these 4 months. From sweets, to local brews, the awesome Lucknowi biryani’s, to authentic North Eastern delicacies and Goan seafood.
I also met and spent time with amazingly helpful, interesting, extremely generous and loving people along this journey. Made many new friends and connected with my old ones. Shared million happy memories, stories and smiles and received lots of blessings and love.
One of my most precious memories and first time experiences was celebrating my Eid and eating my Eid lunch at the Langar, at world largest kitchen at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab.

Jaisalmer Trip City Guide
The Golden City of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan is simply unmatched. It was the part of the famous Silk Route during the days of yore. The splendid Jaisalmer Fort stands proudly on its land and narrates the stories of the valor and chivalry of the Rajput rulers. Jaisalmer still retains its medieval charm, which is evident in its colorful narrow streets, splendid forts and palaces of Rajasthan.
Delhi to Jaisalmer by Road | 830 kms | 15 hours non-stop (Part 1)

ridding camel in a Camel caravan with Safari tours in the desert, see all tours
Riding on Camels will take you back to ancient times. To the era when salesmen and knights followed the Nabatean spice routes to their next post. Times when your wellbeing and survival depended on the wellbeing of your mount. In many desert, the Bedouin people still live as they have been doing for centuries. They still wander through the desert looking for the best places to herd their sheep and goats, carrying their black tents with them wherever they go. We invite you to come along with us on a journey back in time. Apart from the camel ride days, you will also visit many oasis, palm trees villages, ancient monuments deep in the desert and other highlights of different culture and history.
Samadora camel caravan is a series of camels moving with our travelers and passengers or both in a group as part of a regular or semi-regular service between two points. Although they rarely travelled faster than the walking speed of a man, camels' ability to handle harsh conditions made them ideal for communication and trade in the desert areas of northern Africa and the Arabian Peninsula for centuries, though they could only travel on routes with sufficient sources of food and water. Camel caravan trains were also used sparingly elsewhere across the globe but during the 20th century they have been largely replaced by motorized vehicles or air traffic.

Patwon Ki Haveli
Patwon Ki Haveli which literally translates to Mansion of Mr. Patwa in hindi is the oldest and most ostentatious haveli in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This is the one of the first havelis to be constructed in the city of Jaisalmer. The haveli was commissioned by Mr. Guman Chand Patwa in 1805. Mr Patwa was the most successful opium trader in Jaisalmer during the early 19th century. Jaisalmer was in a very stragic location during the silk route aas good and commodities from China and India had to cross from there order to reach central asia and finally europe. Mr Guman Chand Patwa was one of beneficiaries of Jaisalmer’s important locations and that is how he amassed his immense wealth.
The haveli is not a single haveli but a cluster of five havelis. It took almost 50 years for the Patwa family to make these havelis. As of now the havelis are occupied by the Government of India. The government have converted one of the havelis into a museum and the other one into an office of the Archaeological Survey of India.
The Land of Havelis - Mandawa in Shekhawati Region | Bollywood’s Favorite Destination
Mandawa is Bollywood’s Favorite Destination. Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan in India. It is part of Shekhawati region. Mandawa is situated 190 km off Jaipur in the north. Mandawa is known for its fort and havelis. The fort town of Mandawa is well connected with the other places in region through a good network of roads.
This town has been referred to as the open art gallery of Rajasthan because the entire Shekhawati region and not just Mandawa is dotted with fascinating mansions (havelis) that have lavishly painted walls.
Sewaram Saraf Haveli
This 100-year-old Haveli is famous for its architecture and paintings, Bollywood's Favorite Destination for Movie Shooting, PK, Bajrangi Bhaijan, Mirza Sahibaan and many more
Ram Pratap Nemani Haveli
The Haveli has been recently converted into a Heritage Hotel where one can experience untouched frescoes dating back to the 18th century. Vivaana Culture Hotel is a captivating twin haveli adorned with fascinating paintings. Both the exterior and interior boast of superb and rare artifacts and frescoes. The over a century old haveli has been lovingly restored and renovated maintaining the old world charm.
Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli
This haveli has a painting depicting Indra Dev on an elephant and Lord Shiva on his Nandi bull.
Goenka Double Haveli
This haveli, with two gates, has a monumental façade of elephants and horses. The outer walls, jutting balconies, alcoves and overhanging upper storeys are replete with patterns and paintings, ranging from traditional Rajasthani women and religious motifs to Europeans wearing stylish hats and other Victorian finery.
Murmuria Haveli
The paintings of trains, cars, George V, and Venice were executed on the walls of this haveli during the 1930s by Balu Ram, one of the last working artists of the region. In pictures - like Lord Krishna with his cows in the English courtyard and a young Nehru on a horseback, holding the national flag - this haveli uses a unique theme blending the East with the West. The haveli also features a long frieze depicting a train with a crow flying above the engine and much activity at the railway crossing.
Jhunjhunwala Haveli
The haveli features a striking gold leaf painted room located to the right of main courtyard.
Mohan Lal Saraf Haveli
A picture of a Maharaja stroking his mustaches beautifies this haveli.
Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli
This haveli is located in the south of town, where the decoration of the outer and inner walls is perhaps the finest in Shekhawati. Blue washes here and there betray twentieth-century censorship of the erotic scenes that had been commonly acceptable one hundred years earlier.
The Bansidhar Newatia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli and Chokhani Double Haveli are some of the other painted havelis in the area.
Murals in the Thakurji temple, located opposite the Goenka Double Haveli and the Murmuria Haveli, include soldiers being shot from the mouths of cannons, a reflection of the horrors of the Mutiny of 1857. Further west are a couple of chhatris, and a step-well, still used today and bearing paintings inside its decorative corner domes.
Aakharam ka Haveli
This more than 100 year old haveli is located in main market of the town, near Sonthaliya Darwaza.

1) Khad Lam (Slow Cooked Underground Lamb):
Khad lamb (means cooking lamb in a pit in the ground)
Earlier soldiers didn’t want to leave any trace of smoke so that they can hide hence discovered this way of cooking.
Earlier it was rabbit meat but now since it banned so we are cooking lamb.
Making of garam masala- Roast all the following ingredients and pound it together: green cardamom, black pepper, cloves, coriander seeds, black cardamom, turmeric, bay leaves and caramelized onion powder.
Basic marination- Make cuts on the leg of the lamb and put minced garlic with lots of freshly prepared garam masala.
Next for the paste-mix red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, salt and lots of ghee.
Add this paste to the basic marination with a base of rotis and banana leaves. Cover it with a wet jute sack so that it doesn’t burn as it needs to be in direct contact with the fire for 2 hours in the pit.
