The city of Milford isn't backing the proposed multi-million dollar project to Silver Sands State Park, instead asking the State to allocate the funds for that project to more urgent needs.

My hometown, Milford, Connecticut. Milford was a bustling little city between New Haven and Bridgeport, about 60 minutes from New York City. Well Before the developers came, the mall expanded, houses were built on every piece of grass there was and the quietness slowly went away.
This video features the iconic Milford Duck Pond along with scenes of downtown. 25 years have passed and so much has changed.

DEVILS HOPYARD HIKE / East Haddam CT
This is a 860 acre forest that I used to hike with family years ago. It has many views of the stream from Chapman Falls (at beginning of video), and a overlook of the land.
While the video is quick and with cheerful hiking music, there are legends of Satan spooking the Puritan settlers of the land. It was believed that the demon sat on top of the Chapman Falls like a throne and played a violin? People have reported seeing shadows, orbs, and even EVP's while hiking.
The Hopyard part is because there was brewery at one time in the area.
I found this out after the hike and editing the video, so I will have to go back sometime and see if I can find something spooky.
This is an edit of the same one I released this past weekend. I needed to censor my language and some graffiti on the rocks.

Charles Island Milford, Conn
Hi, this is a short unedited video of Charles Island which was filmed from the tombolo of Silver Sands beach in Milford, Conn 4/14/11. The tide was still going out at the time of the video.
You can walk the tombolo from Silver Sands beach to Charles Island during low tide. There is a lot to explore on the island. You have a window of around 2hrs between tides. If you plan carefully you can have up to 4hrs between tides. Be careful or you can easily be trapped on the island until the next low tide.
