Florida Travel: How to Do the Silver Spurs Rodeo, Kissimmee
Go behind the scenes of the Silver Spur Rodeo as Chad and his family experience this great Florida tradition.
Where: Silver Spurs Rodeo, Kissimmee, FL
When: Be sure to check the Silver Spurs Rodeo web site for rodeo dates. But we’d recommend February, April, June, and October when they’re either holding their own rodeos or hosting large event rodeos.
How Much: Get a one of a kind experience for $15 and kids 10 and under are free!
What you’ll need: Comfortable clothes and shoes. But of course, you’re going to a rodeo! So feel free to strap on the biggest belt buckle you can find and dust off that cowboy hat. The arena is indoors so no sunscreen needed.

Silver Spurs Rodeo - Kissimmee Florida - Vlog

Some of my younger years in St. Cloud FL 1970's 8MM footage
I highly recommend watching this footage on a large screen,(use your smartTV YouTube app) not a smartphone as the 8mm footage has a very low resolution.
This is 8mm footage that was taken from approximately 1972 through 1976. I’ve added title overlays with names for as many people as I could recognize and slowed the film speed down at various sections for better viewing.
The 70’s was one of the many fun times in my life. Thanks to all my friends and family who made this a great time.
The footage timeline includes the following in order as listed:
