A Chinese development company builds a 57-storey tower in a record 19 days in Changsha, Hunan Province in southern China. The video shows a Mini Sky City skyscraper built at a brick-by-brick rate of three full levels per day.

Sorry about some of the footage being shaky, I've really struggled with my mavic this week to get the focus and app issues have driven me crazy, also my Osmo won't work with the iPhone (jittery) so there is a lot of handheld stuff.

The streets have still been quiet during spring festival but thats all changed now as people come back to the city and work.

These are a lot of random clips from Changsha but in this vid most are based in the district of Kai Fu Si (开福寺).
Next vid will likely be from Orange Island, which we visited today,
a popular tourist spot here and the opening scene shown with the giant Mao Ze Deng statue.

This list ranks skyscrapers by height. Only buildings with continuously occupiable floors are included, thus non-building structures, including towers, are not included.

Ranking criteria
height to structural or architectural top;
height to floor of highest occupied floor;
height to top of any part of the building.

Spires are considered integral parts of the architectural design of buildings, to which changes would substantially change the appearance and design of the building, whereas antennas may be added or removed without such consequences. The Petronas Towers, with their spires, are thus ranked higher than the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) with its antennas, despite the Petronas Towers' lower roofs and lower highest point.

A team from Singapore is back in Changsha 2-9 July 2015 to teach at at Hunan Bible Institute's Praise and Worship Summer Camp. This time we have 5 of us, Nic Khoo, Ps Ronald Seet, Wilson Lee, Pauline Phoon and Howard! This trip is a day longer than our usual and so we had time to minister at Cheng Bei Church's worship ministers as well. We are totally blessed by this trip and may God continue to multiply and grow the seeds planted!

Changsha firework

Hunan province is an important producer of fireworks.
Due to the crisis, Changsha decided to support the firework companies: they pay for a big firework every friday.

Of course this event is beautiful. However it costs a lot of public money. This is the price to save the firework companies and jobs. Still I am not sure which lucky firework companies get the privilege to organize this public firework event...
