Sand Dune Arch Trail, Arches National Park, Utah
Sand Dune Trail leads through a small slot canyon filled with sand to a secluded arch. The arch sits in the shade for most of the day, flanked by two large sandstone fins. The trail starts from Sand Dune Arch Parking Lot and offers an easy walk for most people. Kids of all ages will enjoy playing in the fine sand.
Starting Point: Sand Dune Arch parking area

Arches National Park: Multiple Arch Hike
Devil's Garden trailhead to Tapestry, Broken and Sand Dune Arch. Then a hike through giant sandstone Fins to Skyline Arch for sunset.
Landscape Arch, Arches National Park, Utah
This is a quick view of our campground at Arches National Park then the hike to the beautiful Landscape Arch. The arch measures some 306 feet across the span and 6 feet thick at its thinest point. In 1991 or so some big chunks fell off the bottom of the arch so it won't last for ever. You better check it out before it all falls down, maybe within the next few thousand years. We then went beyond the arch a bit, hiking up one of the sandstone fins. A good, short hike.

Arches National Park
Arches National Park is part of The Might Five. Let's look at the most extensive array of arches. Several thousand national arches have been counted. Each arch differs in size and form. They are ever changing. Water shapes them, knife like winds whittle at them, erosion endlessly buffs them and will one day destroy them.
Arches, Utah - A landscape of colors, land forms, and textures.
When you come to visit, take in the arches. Though tempting, climbing on the arches is strictly prohibited. And for those going on a trip with their whole family, dogs and pets are limited to a few spots along the scenic drive and the campground.

Hiking to Corona Arch and Bowtie Arch (near Moab, UT)
Hiking the Corona Arch trail to Corona and Bowtie Arches. This is a 3 mile there and back trail taking in large sheets of slickrock and facing a canyon carved out for the Union Pacific Railroad transport of potash. This is a favorite of Moab locals who like to avoid the crowds at nearby Arches NP.

The 1.5-Mile Hike To The Delicate Arch, Arches National Park, 8-10-2012
Hiking from the parking lot to the famous Delicate Arch of the Arches National Park, 1.5-mile one way, with an elevation gain of 480 feet, in 100-degree August heat. It was well worth it, though. The sights were spectacular. The hike was as memorable as the arch itself, the latter part being completely on slickrock (petrified sand dunes.) For details of the arch, please see my other video.
