Reporter Alison Parker and Cameraman Adam Ward (Roanoke) killed by shooter/gunman suspect 41 year old employee Vester Lee Flanigan who goes by the name Bryce Williams of the station, WDBJ-TV during live news interview Moneta, Va. – A 24-year-old reporter and 27-year-old Cameraman from a local news station WDBJ in Roanoke have been killed by a shooter that appeared during a live news interview Wednesday morning, WDBJ confirms.
The shooting occurred at Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Virginia.
At first he was a Suspected active shooter when gun shots were heard on live television, shoots were fired later reports that Journalist and crew were killed during a live news report broadcast on television shots fired at crew that killed the photographer Journalist and television crew from CBS Virginia WDBJ news station the investigation involving news crew killing is underway at Smith Mountain Lake
Moneta, Va. – Police are currently investigating what appears to be a suspected active shooter situation that turned into murder at Smith Mountain Lake in Moneta, Virginia.
The killing and deaths involves a crew from a local CBS news station, WDBJ that were shot at and killed during a live television broadcast.
During a live interview today 26/08/2015 from Bridgewater Plaza, approximately eight gunshots are heard as a reporter is seen interviewing someone on screen. The camera then drops to the ground and the broadcast cuts back to the anchor desk.

Sabrina and I always turn to youtube for overviews of places before we stay at them, so we thought it would make sense to make videos for other people to check out and get an idea of what the campgrounds look like and what they have to offer. This is Smith mountain lake state park campground. We enjoyed staying here very much, The RV pull through sites were very large and the campground was easy to maneuver our 28ft motorhome through. Clean bathrooms and hot showers were also great. We had Water and Electric at our site and there is a dump station located on the property as well. There were nice nature trails to walk and a beach for when the weather is warmer.
