Snow Farm - Cardrona - Queenstown Part 1 (June 2019)

In this video we'll show you the awesome fun we had at the Snow Farm Park in New Zealand.
This is huge fun and we had a great time as you can see. The park has a tube run, cross country courses, drift track for cars and more. It is opposite Cardrona in the South Island and we found the drive up quite manageable although there was not a lot of snow below the summit.
Definitely worth checking out, hope you enjoy the video.

SNOW FARM NZ IN WANAKA // Episode 10 of our South Island Campveran adventures.
Our girls had never seen snow before, other than a few small patches on the ground on our Milford Sound day trip, so we took them to the perfect place to play in the snow outside of Queenstown.
The Snowfarm NZ in Wanaka has a tubing hill, snowshoe tours and skiing, although during our visit the snowfall had been light, so we stuck with tubing. Our girls had the best time. So did we!
The drive to the Snowfarm Wanaka is scenic, and you can absolutely take a campervan up there as we did. An hour of tubing is also really affordable when you don't want to spend a fortune on skiing or snowboarding in Queenstown at the snowfields.

Wanaka obviously didn’t get the ‘Dry July’ memo this month!
With consecutive cold fronts slamming the South Island it was snowstorm after snowstorm practically every week, with some incredible days of skiing and boarding in between. Cardrona opened 100% of the resort early in July, with both the on and off-piste just getting better and better. Then Treble Cone opened with fantastic conditions across the entire resort and it has remained that way for the month. Both heli-ski operations are in full swing making the most of the amazing snow conditions and Soho Basin started their cat skiing operation, offering a private resort experience. Snow farm also opened with great conditions for their on snow activities, including cross country skiing and dog sledding.

The Winter Games New Zealand is an annual elite international winter sports event, attracting the world’s best athletes. This will be the seventh edition of the Games, taking place during August and September 2019 in Queenstown, Wanaka and Naseby.
The Winter Games NZ is the premier winter sports event in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the top 5 in the world, with 26 snow and events at 6 venues over 17 action packed days.
The world’s best will compete in freestyle skiing and snowboarding World Cups at the internationally acclaimed venue of Cardrona Alpine Resort. The centrepiece of the Games is the FIS World Cup Snowboard Big Air and FIS World Cup Freestyle Ski Halfpipe, as well as Freeski and Snowboard Halfpipe and Slopestyle FIS Australia New Zealand Cups (ANC’s). The Winter Games NZ is proud to attract 6 out of the top 10 athletes in each of the World Cup disciplines and predict a talented field of internationals for the ANC competitions.
Coronet Peak will host an exciting Alpine ski racing programme with FIS Australia New Zealand Cups (ANC) in Giant Slalom, Slalom and Super G races alongside a Para Super G. Cardrona Alpine Resort, the home of the New Zealand Ski and Snowboard Adaptive Team will host a Para Alpine Slalom and Giant Slalom.
A world-class international Mixed Doubles Curling tournament will be competed for at the Maniototo International Curling Rink in Naseby.
The FIS ANC cross country events will be held at the Snow Farm and the Queenstown Ice Arena will host a three Test Trans-Tasman challenge between the NZ Ice Blacks and the Australian Mighty Roos.

We went to visit Kel and Aaron at Cromwell, and Ann wanted to see the snow, so we headed to Snow farm.
We all tried Tubing, and when I say all that included everyone from Claire & Richie to Carolyn & Denise.
But we had a lot less success when we tried Tobogganing....
