Makalu- barun, Sherpani Col Expedition
This clip is the brief account of a mini expedition to one of remote corners of Nepal, less frequented by trekkers.
It was small compact team of six individuals, each from various states from India and one from Netherlands.
On the whole, the venture taxed us more but the gain was immeasurable.
During the three weeks of hardship, the entire team had only one goal, that to achieve the objective.
why we endured this hardship?
The answer is not simple nor complete. It was the great beauty of Himalaya, its cold air, of remoteness, of great fantastic colors, of the lure of unknown, of the pleasure of fitness and the immense pride of achieving the difficult cols, of the thrill of danger, controlled by caution, to forget everything and just concentrate on three basic essentials of life, food, shelter and friends, plus faith, purpose and determination.
Many individuals helped us to make this expedition possible, Mr Tejanath from Khandbari, Mr Rajan from Chennai for his great-hearted gesture during the crucial stage of our expedition, and his Sherpa Mr Nawang from Kathmandu. And Snow Horizons, treks and Expeditions , Kathmandu.
The Sherpani col expedition was organized with a pious intention of operating well with in the budget. but our final expenditures were in the excess of more than 30 percent. Unforeseen expenditures included hiring jeeps, porter wages, return Flight charges.
The financial affairs of the trip were complicated but was handled carefully by one individual. Mr Anish Bhatia. We all owe a great deal to him. He handled them in an exemplary fashion, being patient and gave us a type of support which cannot be described in words.
Last but not the least was the immense contribution from our guide Mr Gyan Tamang, Cook Pasang Tamang Amrit Tamang, and our staff from Makalu area, namely, Mr Ngunduk Sherpa- the climbing Sherpa and his team of young porters.
We all became very attached to our staff during the three weeks. Their Continued help and loyal support showed the essential spirit of the trip. Without them, we would have achieved very little.

WHITEOUT Himalayan Snowstorm | Everest Base Camp Trek Day 6 | Dingboche to Lobuche
SH*T JUST GOT REAL. A whiteout Himalayan snowstorm wasn’t exactly what we had envisioned for our Everest Base Camp Trek Day 6, but the Himalayas have a way of keeping things interesting! ???? Our hike from Dingboche to Lobuche started off with 1-2 inches of fresh snow, quickly letting up for a clear morning walk. After stopping for lunch in Thukla, the weather quickly took a turn, and before we knew it, we were walking blindly up the mountain in an absolute blizzard! Cheers to surviving another day.

Hi friends! We’re Braden & Taylor, a newlywed couple from California living with a BAD case of the travel bug. In Fall 2018, we quit our jobs, sold our belongings, and packed two tiny suitcases to find out what it truly means to live life to the fullest. First and foremost, we vlog for ourselves — our channel is a living picture book of the memories we collect over the next months and years around the globe, traveling to over 60 countries by 2020. If there’s a place we haven’t been, it’s on our list!
Secondly, we document our life on the road for family, friends and strangers alike — if our videos help pass on the travel influenza, then we’ve done our job. ???? We don’t know where this trip will take us, but we promise to ourselves and to you that we will always present both the beautiful and the ugly, because no trip is perfect, and neither is our world. Don’t be shy — send us a shout out when we’re in your area, and be sure to subscribe + hit the bell to be notified of future videos!

Who & Why Trek with Us?
Mount Everest Avalanche 2012 Nepal
The real trek to Base Camp begins in Namche where immediately upon leaving town Everest appears on the horizon next to Lhotse, a mere 15 miles (25 km) away, allowing a morning for portrait studies of the highest mountain on earth. Our trek culminates with a fine opportunity to trek to both Everest Base Camp and the nearby peak of Kala Pattar 5545m for spectacular views of Mount Everest. On our return journey we savour the high mountain views from our unique private permanent campsites in the company of our Sherpa guides, whose exceptional experience, knowledge and passion for trekking in the Khumbu add a further dimension to this memorable trek.

Glimpse of Everest Base Camp
Imagine! After two days hard trekking, finally you see it. Jagged, snow-shrouded, and utterly awe-inspiring – Everest rises ahead. So far on this epic Himalayas expedition, you’ve climbed to 3400m. You’re hot, dusty and have eleven more days hiking ahead – traversing mountain trails, skirting glaciers and bunking down in teahouses. You'll grow used to wet-wipe washes, a symbiotic relationship with odd pieces of gear, and friendships forged in unforgiving environments. Your objective is Everest Base Camp. Snow-fringed and framed by fluttering prayer flags, it sits at a testing 5346m at the foot of the Khumbu Icefall!
Everest Base Camp is so much more than just a trek. It's challenging. But difficult is good because it makes you stronger. It’s about getting out of your comfort zone, going 12 days without a proper shower, being with a group of strangers, surrounded by an incredible culture in the most famous mountain region in the world. These treks broaden people’s horizons because they take us away from the comforts of home and put us in the land of simplicity!
This trip features 2 nights in Kathmandu and a 11-day lodge trek to the base of Everest. Gorak Shep is our highest camp from where we hike to Mount Everest Base Camp and climb Kala Pattar, the Black Rock (5 550 m) where we admire the huge South Col of Everest, the tongue of the Khumbu glacier and more than 15 spectacular Himalaya peaks. This is, without a doubt, one of the best mountain viewpoints of the world!

Lunar Eclipse Himalayan Tour
Lunar Eclipse Himalayan Tour - 10th December 2011
On a long winter night when the silver Full Moon rises high,
Over the snow-white Himalayan peaks of Nanda Devi, Trisul,
It will be lounging in the Earth's shadow.
Quite leisurely the moon will saunter inside the shadow,
And turn from argent to copper.
It's a beautiful and tranquil happening,
reminding you of the rhythmic motions of Sun, Moon and Earth.
(A lunar eclipse is beautiful to the eyes of a scientist, artist, mathematician, adult and children alike.)
Beautiful mountain range seen from Himalayan view point Baglung, Nepal
though the quality of camera is not so good to show this panoramic horizon of mountain. It is really beautiful.
Annapurna Circuit trek video
Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world and was the first 8000m peak to be climbed. It was first summited in 1950 by Maurice Herzog and Louis Lachenal. It was not until 1970 that Annapurna was summited again. In the autumn of 1999 there were 120 expeditions to Annapurna. 106 climbers reached the summit. 54 climbers never came back.
Most rewarding and renowned incentive trekking destination of Nepal, the Annapurna Circuit/ABC Trek provides you unparalleled access to spectacular horizons of snowy peaks since it opened to foreign trekkers in 1977. The trails run through an ever-changing landscape of rice fields, the forests of thick fir and rhododendron to the harsh, thin atmosphere of the Tibetan plateau. We encounter the villages of Gurung ethnic Indigenous group with their unique religion and culture and take a chance to meet, interact and befriend them. Awe-inspiring peaks in their natural amphitheater at Annapurna Base camp provide the magnificent views of high mountains with their purity and spirituality.
The trek starts from Pokhara, valley of the lakes in the lap of Machapuchhre with a short drive to the Phedi. Well-trodden trails through terraced farmland and traditional villages climb through an ancient oak and rhododendron forests, across sparkling streams and past waterfalls, coupled by the majestic splendor of Machhapuchhre (6,993m), Annapurna I and Hiunchuli (6,441m) makes the trek rewarding. We pass the highest point of the trek, Thorung La, arid valley of the upper Manang, home of Tibeto- Buddhists, down to the Hindu pilgrimage site of Muktinath, and the Kali Gandaki valley, the world's deepest river gorge, before heading down to Pokhara.

This view is seen from just above the altitude of Everest in Nepal. Just as the plane passes a large cloud bank appears the gaunt figure of Everest...

Ghorepani | Poonhill | Day 3 | Mobile Vlog |Travel Vlog(2018)
First of all i would like to thank you all the viewers from various place. For watching my travel vlog.
Poonhill trek starts from Nayapul after one and half hour drive from Pokhara. This trek passes beautiful villages of Ulleri, Ghorepani and Ghandruk. You will enjoy trek in the spectacular mountain scenery through delightful villages inhabited by Gurungs and Magars.
Around every corner is an exciting glance of the high mountains, whole horizons of which will be open to you as you reach the high points of your trek. The view point on Poonhill (3210m.) offers the best view of mountains and sunrise. Dense rhododendron forests full of birds and imaging valleys make your trip more enjoyable. Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges and Mt. Annapurna (I) as well as others higher mountains including Annapurna south, Annapurna II,III,IV, Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, Hiunchuli, and Manaslu ranges will view from this trek.
As the sun touches the snow-capped summits, the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. Anyone who loves nature and beautiful landscape will never forget this astounding experience. The trek can be lengthened and shortened according to the time you have.
The Ghorepani Poon Hill trek is a 3-4 day hike in the Annapurna mountain range in Nepal. It takes a moderate level of fitness to complete, and the max elevation is 3,210 meters (so there’s no real risk of altitude sickness). Pokhara is the closest main access city to begin treks into the Annapurna range.
The views were amazing!
After lunch and an hour of rest, we continued hiking. After about 3 hours we reached the cold Ghorepani village.
At Ghorepani we checked in to Dhaulagiri Lodge, located right at the top of the village in the main square area. They charged 300 Rupees for our room and 100 Rupees for a hot shower (which was semi hot).
Ghorepani was freezing cold when we were there, and shortly after arriving, it began to rain which turned to hail. There was also some old snow on the ground in Ghorepani. Luckily, just after the hail stopped, the weather cleared and we got some amazing views of the Annapurna Himalaya range.
For the first part of this guide I’ll share our itinerary of what we did and where we hiked each day.
Then below the day overviews you’ll find all the information about how we prepared and arranged the trek, including costs and everything we spent.
We did the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek in NewYear 2018, which is low season, and it was still quite cold (probably got down a little below freezing when we reached Ghorepani). Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek can be done year round, but in the thick of winter there might be quite a lot of snow and ice on the trail.
