Fewer people going to British pubs so hello ax-throwing!
Fewer customers are stopping for a drink at Great Britian's pubs. As a result, owners are getting very creative to boost their numbers. They're starting beer pong and ax-throwing competitions to help lure in customers.
Léon Pearce - That's When I'll Leave
Filmed late in 2012 in St Helier town centre's famous Blue Note Bar in Jersey C.I. this is the second of a series of live take music videos featuring Channel Island or visiting artists we'll be posting here in the coming months. To be first in the know, please subscribe to this channel or like our facebook page - facebook.com/StokedMusic.co.uk
Almost by chance, we managed to catch up with Leon before he headed back to LIPA. When the weather took a turn for the worse, we were lucky enough to be offered use of The Blue Note Bar, so with many thanks to Lloyd Aygun (and Mehdi Padidar for our Jingle) - here's Leon singing 'That's When I'll Leave'. Read more about Leon below or visit leonpearcemusic.co.uk
Singer-Songwriter Leon Pearce is based in Liverpool, currently spending all his time with HighFields (
Influenced by the great songwriters, Paul Simon, Nick Drake and The Beach Boys, Léon is constantly writing new music and improving his material.
The Jersey-born musician frequently draws on personal experience and observation when it comes to crafting story-telling songs about love, friendship and heartache, and the raw intensity of emotion that we all feel in our youth.

Donning Used Surgical Gloves & Cheap Watch In Jersey Channel Islands
Final day in Jersey and shooting so I decided to make one last video before I got back on the plane to brightie (Britain ) . In this video I reused the gloved from the Donning Surgical Gloves With Scrubs On In Jersey video and gloved up with a cheap watch I brought back in London . Remember all videos are filmed between 4 to 6 weeks before they are aired.
A little fun fact for you. Situated just off the coast of France within the English Channel, the beautiful Channel Islands, all British Crown dependencies, are fiercely independent and justifiably proud of their history and traditions. The largest is Jersey known for beaches and cliff trails. Just outside the main town of St. Helier, the Jersey War Tunnels complex details the island’s WWII German occupation. Medieval Mont Orgueil Castle is on a hill on the east coast. Northwest is the island of Guernsey, with its capital, St. Peter Port.

Isle Of Jersey Channel Islands - Treasure Hunting!
So im doing some metal detecting on the isle of Jersey, Channel islands to see what interesting things i can find on the beaches of Jersey.
So metal detecting the isle of jersey was brilliant fun and the weather was gorgeous, so off i went with my makro multi kruzer from leisure promotions to see what treasure i could find.
Straight away i was on the coins, mainly modern money from the uk and jersey but i did find an old 1860 bun head vicky.
It wasnt all work and no play so decided to explore the island of jersey and look at the ww2 german bunkers and machine gun posts as well as the walls built to keep the british from re-taking the islands.

Kona Hellier in UK - Jumps the highest height on a BMX Bike
Motorcycle Live 2013 in Birmingham, UK hosted on Monday 25th of November a world record attempt by BMX stunt riders Kye Forte and Kona Hellier, with Hellier successfully setting a brand new record for a BMX High Jump, clearing the bar at a whopping 6.68 metres. This is the exclusive interview with him, and Forte straight after the jump.
The two riders went head-to-head in front of an excited crowd in an attempt to beat the existing World Record for a BMX High jump of 6.38m, held by none other than Forte himself. The riders were allowed three tries each and it was Forte who was the first to set a new record with a jump of 6.48m.
Hellier then stepped up to the ramp and proceeded to not only smash Forte's new record but set two further new records of 6.58m, then finally 6.68m to become the new World Record holder for BMX High Jump.
I'm still shaking, I'm so pumped, that was awesome, said Hellier, who is 20 years old and from Newton-Abbot in Devon. When you're on the ramp it feels like everything stops. You just tuck in as hard as you can to make it work. It's scary but fun, I just go white-knuckle and hang on!
Both Hellier and Forte are performing at Motorcycle Live as part of the Crank'd live action stunt show, which takes British superstars from BMX, mountain bike trials, motorcycle trials and road bike stunt riding and blends these pedal and petrol-powered performers together for a battle of the cranks over a bespoke indoor playground comprising dirt ramps, jump boxes, high jumps and flatland sections.
Motorcycle Live 2013, the UK's biggest bike show, will be at The NEC, Birmingham until Sunday 1 December.
Tickets are £20 per adult, £13 for Seniors and £9 for children aged 6-16 (kids five and under accompanied by a paying adult go free). Bike parking is free of charge and subject to availability. Reduced car parking costs of £8 -- subsidised by Motorcycle Live.

CMMTV1 Consider Jersey for your next conference
CMM Events asks you to consider Jersey for your next conference.
Jersey is a lot more than a little bit of Britain. It's Britain with brio, England with a generous dash of continental Europe. It's an Island that goes its own way, conjuring up an intriguing mix of sights and sounds, images and influences, all within just 45 square miles.
If ever there was a conference destination that will leave you with an enthused sensation then that must be Jersey. Located 100 miles from the English coast and only 14 miles from the French coast, Jersey has a rich cultural history of French and English rule. The Island has a unique atmosphere and a wealth of amenities and attractions - everything in fact a conference and incentive organiser could wish for. The surrounding sea dominates the landscape with views of the Atlantic Ocean a constant in the Island. The coastline offers infinite variety -- majestic cliffs, exposed bays, sandy beaches, rocky coves and magnificent dunes are all within easy reach.
RICH DIVERISTY
Diversity abounds -- Jersey is city-cool and cosmopolitan yet reassuringly rural. Glitzy harbours rub shoulders with untouched beaches, all lapped by some of the cleanest seas on the planet. Jersey is also quirky. You drive on the left, but pass bright yellow phone boxes. You see country pubs and village churches, but the road names are in French.
The Island is also a renowned international finance centre with many of the world's leading banks and financial institutions represented and in excess of £200 billion invested in deposits and over £220 billion in funds. With such a rich knowledge and experience in the needs of the business world, it's not surprising that Jersey is the chosen venue for numerous association events.
Jersey plays host to car launches, product launches, sales conferences, corporate entertaining, deluxe incentives, corporate challenges and team building activities as well as small executive meetings. We also provide for meetings of up to 800 delegates at the Hotel de France and 2,000 delegates at Fort Regent and can offer support in bringing you to the Island to view the facilities.
UNUSUAL VENUES
You can also choose from some very unusual venues. Durrell offers a unique learning opportunity and La Mare Vineyards offers the glorious Elms Farmhouse as well as one of the more distinctive settings for your event in the Distillery. The crypt in the middle ward of Mont Orgueil, a 13th Century castle, is the perfect setting for a small reception, while the medieval Great Hall is fantastic for small dinners. But perhaps the most popular private use of the castle is for evening parties with drinks on the ramparts and a marquee on the lower keep affording views of the harbour below and across the narrow channel of water to France.
EASILY ACCESSIBLE
Whether travelling on scheduled flights from no fewer than 20 airports in the UK you can be assured of a professional service from some of Europe's largest carriers. Getting to and from the Island has never been easier.
There is a great choice, and number of regular scheduled flights, including a minimum of 12 flights a day from London alone with flight times of less than an hour. And once in Jersey nothing is much more than 15 minutes away. So less down time and better value.

Singing at the Hotel in Edinburgh
So I just now figured out how to get this off my phone and onto here! When I was on my trip to Ireland, Scotland, and England I got roped in to singing in every country we went to. Some of the wonderful people that were in our group decided they were going to ask the bartender if I could play the piano in our Hotel at Scotland. So I just played the first thing that came to mind! I hope you enjoy my impromptu concert haha. Love you guys!
xx Carson
P.s. The guy who tries to get on the piano is Joe. You might recognize him from my video diaries of the trip!
Milky Bar Kid Jersey
Wee guy in Jersey who is the double of the milky bar kid. So decided to record him with some milky bars haha
Nightlife - 1985
**Probably best if you don't watch this one at work.**
So anyway, the weekend is upon us, and here's a couple of ads for nightlife in 1985! First up it's Bonaparte's, which boasts exciting lighting, great sounds and a free bottle of bubbly if it's your birthday!
Next up is an absolutely unbelievable 20 seconds of television courtesy of Madisons. It features racy 'dance' troupe Bodycheck in what we presume is a naughty homage to Eurovision winners Bucks Fizz. Stewth, to be honest, we're quite surprised this one was broadcast...
Places to see in ( Saint Malo - France ) Condor Ferries
Places to see in ( Saint Malo - France ) Condor Ferries
The St Malo Jersey ferry route connects France with Jersey. Currently there is just the 1 ferry company operating this ferry service, Condor Ferries. The crossing operates up to 14 times each week with sailing durations from around 1 hour 20 minutes. St Malo Jersey sailing durations and frequency may vary from season to season so we’d advise doing a live check to get the most up to date information. The French city and seaport of St Malo is located in Brittany in the north west of France and lies on the English Channel coast.
It was built on an island of granite and has a unique atmosphere, wonderful scenery and lovely beaches. St Malo is popular with tourists from across Europe although for some visitors it is just the start or the end of a vacation to Brittany as they use the town's port to get too and from England. The town is widely regarded as the prettiest channel port in France with its cobbled streets, hotels, bars, restaurants and shops. There are streets and squares lined with tall mansions which are in turn enclosed by a complete circuit of ramparts. The modern harbour now connects the citadel to the mainland.
The Port of St Malo has two new ferry terminals which have good passenger facilities including gift shops, cafes and bureau de change. Ferry services from the port depart to Poole, Portsmouth and Weymouth in England, via the Channel Islands.
( Saint Malo - France ) is well know as a tourist destination because of the variety of places you can enjoy while you are visiting Saint Malo . Through a series of videos we will try to show you recommended places to visit in Saint Malo - France
