Sedona - Soldier Pass Trail.
Had some time to explore the trails of Sedona on my own. I had heard of Soldiers Pass and found out it was close to where I was staying. I normally don't wheel alone, but it was my only other chance to explore the trails. I highly recommend this trail for some easy fun wheeling. A 2 out of 5 with some 3 spots.

Places to see in ( Sedona - USA )
Sedona is an Arizona desert town near Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community. Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots.
Nestled amid striking red sandstone formations at the south end of the 16-mile Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona attracts spiritual seekers, artists and healers, as well as day-trippers from Phoenix trying to escape the oppressive heat. Many New Age types believe that this area is the center of vortexes (not 'vortices' here in Sedona) that radiate the earth's power, and you'll find all sorts of alternative medicines and practices on display. More tangibly, the surrounding canyons offer outstanding hiking, biking, swimming and camping.
The town itself bustles with art galleries and expensive gourmet restaurants. In summer the traffic and the crowds can be heavy. Regionally, Oak Creek Canyon begins north of Uptown Sedona; the Village of Oak Creek, however, is south of the city.
Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness.
Sedona is located in the Upper Sonoran Desert of northern Arizona. Sedona has mild winters and hot summers. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.2 square miles (49.7 km2), of which 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.22%, is water. The red rocks of Sedona are formed by a unique layer of rock known as the Schnebly Hill Formation. The Schnebly Hill Formation is a thick layer of red to orange-colored sandstone found only in the Sedona vicinity. The sandstone, a member of the Supai Group, was deposited during the Permian Period.

Sedona, Arizona-360 View @ Submarine Rock
This is one of our favorite jeep trips in Sedona. It's the Broken Arrow Trail and it leads to Submarine Rock. You can get out and walk on this great rock formation. It does have a detour around The Steps, a decline that literally looks and feels like you are driving down steps. Of course we HAD to try them, too! I was too scared to take a video of that experience! :0)

THIS IS INTENSE! ???? Hiking ???? Cathedral Rock Sedona, Arizona ???? Full Time RV Living
THIS IS INTENSE! ???? Hiking ???? Cathedral Rock Sedona, Arizona ???? Full Time RV Living Cathedral rock is one of the many Popular hikes in Sedona. We were suppose to be taking a hike up Soldier's Pass but the parking lot was already packed and Tom's dually was too long for the parking lot. (This is one challenge of hiking in Sedona. The parking lots for hiking are tiny) You need to get to the trail head early in order to snag a spot.
Sedona, Arizona is known for the beautiful red rocks and Cathedral rock is no exception. The views from the top are stunning. The trail itself is like no hike I have ever been on. There is a lot of steep scrambling. If you have a fear of heights I would steer clear of this adventure.
Cathedral Rock in Sedona, Arizona was worth the trek. It is about 700 feet vertical climb with spectacular views. You may also find a few vortexs along the way!

OUR STORY
We are Josh and Kali from Seattle, Washington. In 2015 we decided to change our lives. We sold everything we owned bought a RV and a truck starting living in our RV full time in 30 days! Full time rv living was a major change for us. We hadn't made any plans to change to this rv life until one day it hit us we couldn't have the American Dream and travel to. Choosing to travel meant downsizing our life and becoming minimalists. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. Now we plan to travel non-stop in our 33ft. fifth wheel full time. Join the adventure as we RV across the United States (US)
