[Wikipedia] Songdo Convensia
The Songdo Convensia Convention Center is the first project completed in Songdo IBD and opened for business on October 7, 2008. Its innovative design by KPF and Baum elicits thoughts of the Sydney Opera House and is already a landmark structure in Korea. The main exhibition hall has one of the largest column-free spans (472.4 ft) in Asia. Donated to the City of Incheon by Gale International and POSCO E&C and managed by Incheon Tourism Organization, Songdo Convensia now hosts international conferences, trade shows and meetings, and has even become a popular filming location for commercials and music videos.
Facilities available at Songdo Convensia include two main exhibition halls, 23 conference rooms and 3 ballrooms. Some of the support facilities at Songdo Convensia include wireless internet capabilities throughout the entire convention center, RFID card systems, voice recognition cameras, and interpretation in 8 languages.
Recently, Songdo Convensia received LEED New Construction 2.2 Certified rating, and become the first convention facility to be LEED certified in Asia.

Things to do in Incheon South Korea
1-Central park (Incheon1 subway line, Central park station OR Bus No. 6, 6-1, 8, 909, 780)
2- Wolmido park (Incheon station, Seoul subway line1, Exit the station and take bus no 15, 23 or 45 and get off at wolmido city tour or wolmi final bus stop)

The sixth OECD World Forum kicked off in South Korea's western port city of Incheon on Tuesday.
Since 2004, the event has served as a venue to share knowledge and experience... on the role of data and policy in shaping a better world for all.

Welcome to the 6th OECD World Forum on statistics, knowledge and policy
Around three thousand policymakers, academics and business leaders from over 100 countries... gathered in South Korea's western port city of Incheon to discuss the future of well-being.
Korea is a unique country in a sense that we have achieved miraculous economic growth within a short time period, and that people's interest in future of well-being has never been higher before. In this context, it cannot be more appropriate to hold the OECD World Forum here in Korea this year.
Since the first OECD world forum in Italy in 2004, the OECD has developed models to measure people's 'well-being',... taking into account,... factors like work-life balance, environment, and sense of security,... which cannot be measured by conventional economic indicators like GDP.
This year's forum focused on three key trends - the digital revolution, new modes of governance and the role of the private sector - factors that could affect people's well-being over the next 10 to 20 years.
The OECD report shows... technological advances like AI could disrupt up to one half of the workforce among OECD countries... worsen inequality, and engender political polarization due to fragmented data.
The aging population in particular, add complexity to this digital transformation... and participants at the forum pointed out... that the role of governments is to help provide security for the people through better healthcare and access to education.
But the private sector also plays a critical role.
What businesses need to do is to have products that really deliver good things for the public, healthy foods, products and services that raise people's well-being. Also taking care of their own workers, so that people are able to work in dignity, they have vacation time.
During the three-day event,... policymakers and statisticians will examine detailed ways to push for inclusive growth... and formulate a collective action plan Thursday to help improve people's well-being.

The sixth OECD World Forum,... organized jointly by the OECD and Statistics Korea,... has kicked off at Songdo Convensia in South Korea's western port city of Incheon.
Around three-thousand policymakers,... academics and business leaders from over 1-hundred countries will discuss the theme of The Future of Well-being.
They'll explore how trends like digitalizatio3n and corporate activities could affect people's well-being.... and see what the public and private sector can do to enhance inclusive growth and people's well-being.
Participants include..... South Korea's finance minister Kim Dong-yeon...., OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria and world-renown economist Jeffrey Sachs.
The three-day event will last through Thursday.

인천 송도의 '컨벤시아'인데요.
2년간의 확장공사가 마무리돼 이번 주말 문을 연다고 합니다.

삼각형의 커다란 출입구가 늘어섰습니다.
2010년 개관 당시 시드니 오페라하우스를 닮았다 해서 유명해진 인천 송도의 컨벤션센터 '컨벤시아'입니다.
개관 후 각종 전시, 회의수요가 몰리면서 인천시는 2016년부터 확장공사에 들어갔습니다.

- 전체적인 면적을 종전의 두 배로 늘렸을 뿐 아니라, 동시에 수용할 수 있는 인원과 설비 규모도 크게 늘려 대형 국제행사를 유치할 기반을 새롭게 마련했습니다.
2년 여의 공사가 끝난 송도 컨벤시아는 오는 21일 공식 개관합니다.
송도 컨벤시아의 가장 큰 장점은 우리나라의 관문인 인천공항에서 단 20분 거리에 있다는 것입니다.
서울 코엑스, 일산 킨텍스보다 규모는 작지만, 입지는 최고로 평가받습니다.
