Sophia University
Sophia University (上智大学 Jōchi Daigaku?) is a private Jesuit research university in Japan, with its main campus located near Yotsuya station, in an area of Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward. It is ranked as one of the top private universities in Japan. It takes its name from the Greek Sophia meaning wisdom. The Japanese name, Jōchi Daigaku, literally means University of Higher Wisdom.

Meiji University (明治大学 Meiji daigaku?) is a private university with campuses in Tokyo and Kawasaki, founded in 1881 by three lawyers of the Meiji era, Kishimoto Tatsuo, Miyagi Kōzō, and Yashiro Misao. It is one of the largest and most prestigious Japanese universities in Tokyo.
The University has nine faculties with a total of approximately 33,000 students on three campuses in Ochanomizu in Chiyoda, Tokyo, the Izumi neighborhood of Suginami-ku, Tokyo, and the Ikuta neighborhood of Tama-ku, Kawasaki. The university is one of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's (MEXT) thirteen Global 30 Project universities, which as of 2014 is called the Super Global Universities program.

☆Bits of knowledge〜Hibiya park〜
Located to the north of the Imperial Palace Outer Garden and in the vicinity of Kasumigaseki, Hibiya and Uchisaiwai-cho, Hibiya Park is the first westernized modern park in Japan. The parkland used to be the palace area of a powerful feudal load during the Edo Period (1603–1868). In the Meiji Period (1868–1912) the land served as a military drilling ground. Later the park was designed and constructed as an urban-style park, opened to the public in 1903, and marked the 110th anniversary this year. In the vast 16-hectare grounds at the heart of Tokyo, the oasis for working people with 3100 tall trees, 10,000-square meters grass lawn and beds flowering year round attracts many people every day. There are large and small music halls and a public hall that are used widely by people from all over Japan.
