We would meet and interview the most influential pearl farmers and their workers who maintain the delicate balance between man and nature with one common goal... producing beautiful pearls. World's largest pearl to be on display in the Philippines
The world's largest natural clam pearl will be put on display in the Philippines soon. The pearl was discovered by a fisherman in the island of Palawan in 2006. Not knowing how much it was, he kept it as a good luck charm. The pearl weighs 34 kilograms, and is worth 100 million US dollars. Once certified and confirmed by gemologists, the pearl will beat the current record holder, the Pearl of Lao Tze, which weighs 6.4 kilograms.

World's largest freshwater pearl to sell at Dutch auction.
“The Sleeping Lion” is one of the world's three largest known freshwater pearls. The Sleeping Lion pearl will be auctioned this Thursday in The Hague, The Netherlands.
Its shape and weight of 120 grams give an idea of the size of the mollusk where she grew up.
Experts believe it was probably formed in southern China in the 18th century.
His form inspired his name: The Pearl to the Sleeping Lion.
It is part of a private collection explains its owner Herman A. Dommisse. I believe it is an important natural object and should be displayed in a museum or institution.
A Dutch merchant bought it for the first time in Jakarta before giving it to the Russian empress Catherine II during a first auction in the late eighteenth century.

The arrival of Ferdinand Magellan, a Portuguese explorer leading a fleet for the Spanish, in Homonhon, Eastern Samar in 1521 marked the beginning of Hispanic colonization. In 1543, Spanish explorer Ruy López de Villalobos named the archipelago Las Islas Filipinas in honor of Philip II of Spain. With the arrival of Miguel López de Legazpi from Mexico City, in 1565, the first Hispanic settlement in the archipelago was established. The Philippines became part of the Spanish Empire for more than 300 years. This resulted in Catholicism becoming the dominant religion. World's largest freshwater pearl
The world's largest known freshwater pearl, which once belonged to Catherine the Great, will go on sale in the Netherlands later this month, the auctioneers announced May 17.
Known as the Sleeping Lion pearl due to its distinctive shape, the pearl was likely formed in the first half of the 18th century in Chinese waters, possibly even the Pearl River.
Auction house Venduehuis said the jewel weighs some 120 grams and is almost seven centimetres long making it one of the three largest known pearls in the world. It has an estimated value of between 340,000 and 540,000 euros.
Around 1765, the pearl was shipped to Batavia, now known as Jakarta, by a Dutch merchant of the United East Indies Company. It was there that it came into ownership of the company's accountant, Hendrik Coenraad Sander.
After Sander passed away, the pearl was auctioned off in Amsterdam in 1778 and acquired by Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia, the auction house said in a statement.
Catherine had the pearl displayed in the Hermitage in St Petersburg until 1796. In the turbulent years that followed her death, the pearl vanished from China and surfaced again in Poland.
After more adventures, it was bought in 1865 by a Dutch goldsmith and remained in his family's possession for four generations, before the Amsterdam Pearl Society bought the pearl in 1979 intending to research it and trace its history, the auctioneers said.
The society is now putting the pearl, and its custom-made copper box, up for sale at the auction on May 31 in The Hague.

Cebu Taoist Temple
Let’s start within the city area. First off, we have Cebu Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills Subdivision, Cebu City. The Chinese Taoism community built this Chinese style architecture temple in 1972.
This temple had become popular because of its artistic structures. Even non-believers of the Taoism religion pay visit to the place. From there, you can see the striking view of the city and even the Mactan Island. And of course, for Taoists, this is the ideal place to pray or meditate.
2. Temple of Leah
The next attraction is the Temple of Leah which is along Cebu Transcentral highway. Teodorico Soriano Adarna built this temple in 2012.
The temple is a symbol of his undying love for his wife of 53 years, Leah Villa Albino-Adarna. The temple has 24 chambers including a museum, an art gallery and a library.
In addition, Greek and Roman architectures are the inspiration of the temple. Statues of gigantic lions as well as a grand staircase with brass angels are decors of this Taj Mahal of Cebu.

Heading to the more elevated spot is in the Busay area which is the Sirao Flower Garden.Going there is like experiencing the Netherlands, thus this tourist spot is commonly called, “The Little Amsterdam”. The array of celosia (or ‘Burlas’ by locals) flowers in flaring red, purple, yellow, orange makes it Amsterdam-ish.The put-up windmill and the cool wind complement the scenic view. Lime stones that have sharp protruding peaks which are perfect for taking pictures make up these hills.The peak is part of the Mantalongon mountain range that stretches as far as the municipality of Badian. Some hikers from Osmena Peak traverse to Kawasan Falls after camping, but you can just go directly to Kawasan via Barili. Kawasan Falls is a three-stage cascade of clear turquoise water from mountain springs of Mantalongon mountain range.The waterfalls is a pearl of the Philippines. One of the most popular Cebu tourist spots or activities is Kawasan Canyoneering. The canyoneering adventure starts at Canlaob river downstream going to Kawasan falls. Few kilometers away from the whale shark attraction is the Tumalog Falls. It is also situated in the municipality of Oslob. Locals call this body of water, the “Toslob Falls” or “Mag-ambak Falls”.Tumalog Falls is a curtain like waterfalls that covers the entire cliff with cool and clear water. Moss embraces the rocks of the cliff which filters the water and gives a curtain effect.
