Hurricane Matthew Floods In Greenville NC (Part-1)
Hurricane Matthew caused the Tar River to flood similar to Hurricane Floyd (although Floyd caused more significant flooding as I recall). The videos are mainly taken around the Downtown area and I had to stay low because of the service flights (helicopters and planes) in the area. I took great precautions to not interfere with the valuable service they are providing in this time of tragedy across my home state. Thoughts go out to everyone that was displaced during this event and I hope things can return to normal for you all quickly.

Kayak fishing Greenville Lake, NC
Kayak fishing with my friends Brandon and Michael on Greenville lake in North Carolina. We caught several bowfin, many nice slab crappie and a nice largemouth bass. The whole reservoir didn't exceed five feet so we trolled around with shallow crankbaits and did some casting as well.

Canon PowerShot SX60 HS - Green Street Bridge. Purportedly Haunted. Greenville, N.C.
Photos taken by my wife Jeannette. Moved from the Greene Street crossing of the Tar River, to the Baker Street entrance of the Town Commons Park and rehabilitated. Now only open to pedestrians only. There are a number of variations of the legend of Green Street Bridge and nobody can say for sure where the true origin lies, but everyone agrees that the place is haunted! On the most common versions of the creepy tale states that some time in the 1920s, a bunch of teens snuck out one night without their parents knowledge so that they could all hang out together underneath Green Street Bridge. However, the get together ended in tragedy when one of the girls in the group drowned in Tar River. When questioned by police, all of the kids had a similar story to tell - that a pair of old and shriveled hands had emerged from the water and pulled the girl into the water. The police dismissed the tall tale and assumed that the girl was simply caught of guard by the current and swept away! There are similar tales of an old man and a little boy being pulled into the river by those terrifying hands and locals swear that the anguished moans of the victims are still heard in the night if you listen carefully.

Shark Tooth Hunting in North Carolina
Every once and a while we need a change of scenery, so fossil diva took me to North Carolina to do some fossil shark tooth hunting. Not only that, for the second time this year we got to collect in the snow! We found some nice stuff - bellemnites, teeth from crow sharks, sand tigers, goblin sharks, mako, great white shark, and even a tiny megalodon tooth.
