A newly built housing block in Fanling in Hong Kong's New Territories, that was planned to be used as a quarantine facility for people who may have been exposed to Wuhan coronavirus, was fire-bombed on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Dozens of residents and protesters opposed to the idea held rallies outside the complex. Some set up roadblocks and in the evening assailants set the place on fire. Hong Kong declared a public emergency on Saturday, January 25 — the city's highest warning tier, and has taken extra measures to contain the spread of the previously unknown virus.

Hankou Road is a street located in Huangpu District, Shanghai. It is commonly known as Sanma Road. Nanjing Road is called Dama Road and Jiujiang Road is Erma Road.
Historically, it is located in the central area of Shanghai's public concession.
In 1846, a section of the Bund to Henan Road was opened, called Customs Road.
In 1865, the Shanghai Public Concession Bureau was officially named Hankou Road with the name of Hankou, the middle reaches of the Yangtze River in China. The eastern end is the customs. In the middle section of Shandong Road junction, it used to be the center of China's journalism industry. The News and Declaration newspapers are located here, and it is called the newspaper street.
We walked on Hankou Road, it is hard to think of the glory of the newspaper industry at that time, we can only rely on the buildings of the last century to imagine.

Europe bound Freight Train Leaves China
An express freight train heading to Europe left China at Wednesday noon via the Alataw Pass, the largest land port on the China-Kazakhstan border.
Before leaving China, the cargo train X8086 underwent a disinfection and safety inspection when running the last leg of 12 kms within the Chinese territory.
The new freight train arrived on Tuesday night at the Alataw Pass in the country's northwest Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, where it completed all customs clearance jointly handled by Chinese and Kazakh customs officers.
The train departed from Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, on April 15, and is expected to reach its final destination, Lodz, the third-largest city in Poland, on April 29. It hauls 41 carriages of commodities including laptops, household appliances, plants, flowers, toys, rice, shoes and handicrafts.

Taking the High-speed train from Guangzhou to Shenzhen
Full journey with the CRH3 from Guangzhou South to Shenzhen North.
The CRH3 is a version of the Siemens Velaro high-speed train used in China on the Beijing–Tianjin Intercity Railway line, Wuhan-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line, Zhengzhou-Xi'an Passenger Dedicated Line and the Shanghai–Nanjing Intercity Railway. It is capable of service speed of 380 km/h (236 mph) as the very similar Velaro E used in Spain, but, similarly to the Sapsan, it is 300 mm (11.8 in) wider to take advantage of a more generous structure gauge and thus be able to fit in more seats in a 2+3 layout.
The Beijing–Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong High-Speed Railway or Jingguangshengang High-Speed Railway from its Chinese name is a high-speed railway of the CRH passenger service, ultimately connecting Beijingxi Station in Beijing and Futian Station in Shenzhen. It will then cross the border and follow the Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link Hong Kong section to West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong. When finished, it will be 2,230 kilometres (1,390 mi) long, and will be the only Chinese high-speed railway to cross a border that requires immigration and customs clearance. The existing, conventional Jingguang railway runs largely parallel to the line.
Die Schnellfahrstrecke Peking–Hongkong verbindet in der Volksrepublik China die Hauptstadt Peking mit der südchinesischen Stadt Hongkong. Durch diese Strecke werden die Provinzen Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan und Guangdong sowie Hongkong an die Hauptstadt angebunden.
Die Schnellfahrstrecke Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hongkong, besser bekannt unter Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link, abgekürzt XRL, oder Guangshen'gang XRL, ist das Teilstück Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hongkong der Schnellfahrstrecke Peking–Hongkong. Es besteht aus der am 26. Dezember 2011 eröffneten Strecke Guangzhou Süd–Shenzhen Nord und der voraussichtlich 2018 fertiggestellten Strecke Shenzhen Nord–Kowloon West.
Der Betrieb zwischen Guangzhou Süd und Shenzhen Nord wurde am 26. Dezember 2011 aufgenommen.

SUMMARY
=======
The Boxer Rebellion (拳亂), Boxer Uprising, or Yihetuan Movement (義和團運動) was an anti-foreign, anti-colonial, and anti-Christian uprising that took place in China between 1899 and 1901, toward the end of the Qing dynasty. They were motivated by proto-nationalist sentiments and by opposition to Western colonialism and the Christian missionary activity that was associated with it.
It was initiated by the Militia United in Righteousness (Yihetuan), known in English as the Boxers, for many of their members had been practitioners of Chinese martial arts, also referred to in the west as Chinese Boxing. The uprising took place against a background that included severe drought and disruption caused by the growth of foreign spheres of influence. After several months of growing violence in Shandong and the North China plain against the foreign and Christian presence in June 1900, Boxer fighters, convinced they were invulnerable to foreign weapons, converged on Beijing with the slogan Support the Qing government and exterminate the foreigners. Foreigners and Chinese Christians sought refuge in the Legation Quarter.
In response to reports of an armed invasion by allied American, Austro-Hungarian, British, French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Russian forces to lift the siege, the initially hesitant Empress Dowager Cixi supported the Boxers and on June 21 issued an Imperial Decree declaring war on the foreign powers. Diplomats, foreign civilians, and soldiers as well as Chinese Christians in the Legation Quarter were detained for 55 days by the Imperial Army of China and the Boxers.
Chinese officialdom was split between those supporting the Boxers and those favoring conciliation, led by Prince Qing. The supreme commander of the Chinese forces, the Manchu General Ronglu (Junglu), later claimed he acted to protect the besieged foreigners. Many officials refused the imperial order to fight against foreigners in their Mutual Protection of Southeast China, because Qing had lost the First Sino-Japanese War five years before.
The Eight-Nation Alliance, after being initially turned back, brought 20,000 armed troops to China, defeated the Imperial Army, and arrived at Peking on August 14, relieving the siege of the Legations. Uncontrolled plunder of the capital and the surrounding countryside ensued, along with the summary execution of those suspected of being Boxers.
The Boxer Protocol of 7 September 1901 provided for the execution of government officials who had supported the Boxers, provisions for foreign troops to be stationed in Beijing, and 450 million taels of silver—approximately $10 billion at 2018 silver prices and more than the government's annual tax revenue—to be paid as indemnity over the course of the next thirty-nine years to the eight nations involved. The Empress Dowager then sponsored a set of institutional and fiscal changes in a failed attempt to save the dynasty.

Guangzhou (simplified Chinese: 广州; traditional Chinese: 廣州; Cantonese pronunciation: [kʷɔ̌ːŋ.tsɐ̂u] or [kʷɔ̌ːŋ.tsɐ́u] (listen); Mandarin pronunciation: [kwàŋ.ʈʂóu] (listen)), also known as Canton, is the capital and most populous city of the province of Guangdong in southern China. On the Pearl River about 120 km (75 mi) north-northwest of Hong Kong and 145 km (90 mi) north of Macau, Guangzhou has a history of over 2,200 years and was a major terminus of the maritime Silk Road, and continues to serve as a major port and transportation hub, as well as one of China's three largest cities.Guangzhou is at the heart of the most-populous built-up metropolitan area in mainland China that extends into the neighboring cities of Foshan, Dongguan, Zhongshan and Shenzhen, forming one of the largest urban agglomerations on the planet. Administratively, the city holds sub-provincial status and is one of China's nine National Central Cities. In 2015, the city's administrative area was estimated to have a population of 13,501,100. Guangzhou is ranked as an Alpha global city. There is a rapidly increasing number of foreign temporary residents and immigrants from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Africa. This has led to it being dubbed the Capital of the Third World.The domestic migrant population from other provinces of China in Guangzhou was 40% of the city's total population in 2008. Together with Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, Guangzhou has one of the most expensive real estate markets in China. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, nationals of sub-Saharan Africa who had initially settled in the Middle East and other parts of Southeast Asia moved in unprecedented numbers to Guangzhou, China in response to the 1997/98 Asian financial crisis.Long the only Chinese port accessible to most foreign traders, Guangzhou fell to the British during the First Opium War. No longer enjoying a monopoly after the war, it lost trade to other ports such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, but continued to serve as a major entrepôt. In modern commerce, Guangzhou is best known for its annual Canton Fair, the oldest and largest trade fair in China. For the three consecutive years 2013–2015, Forbes ranked Guangzhou as the best commercial city on the Chinese mainland.

Its prehistoric settlers included the Sanxingdui culture. Founded by the state of Shu prior to its incorporation into China, Chengdu is unique as a major Chinese settlement that has maintained its name (nearly) unchanged throughout the imperial, republican, and communist eras. Shenzhen ([ʂə́n.ʈʂə̂n] (listen)) is a major city in Guangdong Province, China; it forms part of the Pearl River Delta megalopolis north of Hong Kong. It holds sub-provincial administrative status, with powers slightly less than a province.
Shenzhen, which roughly follows the administrative boundaries of Bao'an County, officially became a city in 1979, taking its name from the former county town, whose train station was the last stop on the Mainland Chinese section of the railway between Canton and Kowloon. In 1980, Shenzhen was established as China's first special economic zone. Shenzhen's registered population as of 2017 was estimated at 12,905,000. However, the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee estimates that the population of Shenzhen is about 20 million, due to the large unregistered floating migrant population living in the city. Shenzhen was one of the fastest-growing cities in the world in the 1990s and the 2000s. And has been ranked second on the list of ‘top 10 cities to visit in 2019Shenzhen's cityscape results from its vibrant economy - made possible by rapid foreign investment following the institution of the policy of reform and opening-up in 1979. SUMMARY
=======
Honduras ( (listen), ; Spanish: [onˈduɾas]), officially the Republic of Honduras (Spanish: República de Honduras), is a country in Central America. It has at times been referred to as Spanish Honduras to differentiate it from British Honduras, which became modern-day Belize. The republic of Honduras is bordered to the west by Guatemala, to the southwest by El Salvador, to the southeast by Nicaragua, to the south by the Pacific Ocean at the Gulf of Fonseca, and to the north by the Gulf of Honduras, a large inlet of the Caribbean Sea.
Honduras was home to several important Mesoamerican cultures, most notably the Maya, before the Spanish invaded in the sixteenth century. The Spanish introduced Roman Catholicism and the now predominant Spanish language, along with numerous customs that have blended with the indigenous culture. Honduras became independent in 1821 and has since been a republic, although it has consistently endured much social strife and political instability, and remains one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. In 1960, the northern part of what was the Mosquito Coast was transferred from Nicaragua to Honduras by the International Court of Justice.The nation's economy is primarily agricultural, making it especially vulnerable to natural disasters such as Hurricane Mitch in 1998. The lower class is primarily agriculturally based while wealth is concentrated in the country's urban centers. Honduras has a Human Development Index of 0.625, classifying it as a nation with medium development. When the Index is adjusted for income inequality, its Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index is 0.443.Honduran society is predominately Mestizo; however, American Indian, black and white individuals also live in Honduras (2017). The nation had a relatively high political stability until its 2009 coup and again with the 2017 presidential election. Honduras has the world's highest murder rate and high levels of sexual violence.Honduras spans about 112,492 km2 (43,433 sq mi) and has a population exceeding 9 million. Its northern portions are part of the Western Caribbean Zone, as reflected in the area's demographics and culture. Honduras is known for its rich natural resources, including minerals, coffee, tropical fruit, and sugar cane, as well as for its growing textiles industry, which serves the international market.
