McDonald's restaurants outside of the US serve a bunch of unique dishes that you can't get Stateside. So when I was in Barcelona, Spain, earlier this month for MWC, I made it a mission to try McDonald's menu items that I would never be able to order at a regular American McDonald's.

Spanish for Beginners Lesson 1 - Spanish Alphabet 1
WELCOME TO THIS VIDEO! I am Pilar González, codirector and Spanish teacher at TILDE MADRID, Spanish school for Adults in Madrid.
I want to explain about the Spanish alphabet. It has 27 letters (that is, one more than English, German, or French, and six more than Italian), which are a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, ñ, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, and z. Five of them are vowels (a, e, i, o, and u) and the remaining 22 are consonants.
Unlike other languages, each letter of the Spanish alphabet represents just one sound (except for some cases that we will see later). Therefore, once you learn how to pronounce each letter, you will be able to read any word in Spanish.
Apart from those 27 letters, there are cases in which two letters combine to form one sound. These are called “digraphs”, and there are five of them in Spanish: ch, ll, gu, qu, and rr. They are a combination of two letters, but they represent just one sound.
Apart from that, the only difficulty that a Spanish learner may have in his/her private Spanish lessons or in his/her Spanish courses in group is that there are some consonants in the Spanish alphabet (namely, c, z, q, and g) that have different pronunciations depending on the vowel they go with.

Gea and fossils
This new release of Gea is intended to promote the protection and conservation of the paleontological heritage, to value the extraordinary fossil record of many Spanish sites preserved in museums and interpretation centres and show the importance of Paleontology to explain the evolution and history of life on our planet. Worms giant cabañeros, Las Hoyas, mammals of Fonelas dinosaurs and hominids from Atapuerca are some of the protagonists of this audiovisual, along with Gea and his inseparable friend Zum.
The documentary is bent into English and its contents are suitable for primary and secondary students. Schools may apply for free to the Secretariat of the Geomining Museum (Charo Calle, r.calle@igme.es), indicating the address of the Center and the name of a contact person.

Tourism 3.0 and Archaeology
This paper aims to deal with participatory approaches in different World Heritage contexts. Archaeology is not the main focus of the local government’s strategy for tourism in many Spanish sites listed but, are there alternative ways of engaging with it? New touristic platforms are reverting traditional touristic unidirectional discourses from governmental bodies to audiences. Through this sort of products, tourists produce themselves contents (e.g. photographs, facts, experiences…) which are publicly shared. What can these collaborative platforms tell us about archaeological data in economic spheres? Drawing on the contents uploaded by the users of these platforms we will explore these issues.
