Shotover River Jet Boat Video - Queenstown, New Zealand
Check out this exciting tour video of our adventure down the Shotover River in a high speed, cliff defying jet boat. Their shallow New Zealand rivers outside of Queenstown is where jet boats were invented back in 1954. The Shotover Jet is the latest technology providing extreme control. Although death defying, there have only been a handful of deaths with over 3-million riders over the years.
Cahill's Crossing - The World's Deadliest Crossing
Cahill’s Crossing is one of Australia’s most dangerous bodies of water in Australia. Each year, dozens of cars are washed into the river attempting to drive on Cahill Crossing. It’s an infamous feeding ground for saltwater crocodiles.
It’s a notorious for its croc infested waters and human misadventure. A crocodile once decapitated a man there in front of his friends.
Each year, dozens of drivers attempt to make it across the submerged crossing but instead end up being washed away into the croc infested waters. Others risk their lives by wading in the waters and fishing. Some even bring their children.
Crocodiles frequently congregate at the river crossing, to feast on swarms of fish that head upstream with changing tides. It is referred to as ‘floating fish behaviour’ and up to 40 crocodiles can be spotted together at the same time, a spectacle that attracts big crowds.
The area has become so well known, there are even viewing platforms to watch the crocodile feeding spectacle.
The crossing is popular with tourists and fishermen — despite warning signs that point out an extreme risk of saltwater crocodile attacks.
Yet some people continue to risk — and sometimes lose — their lives. Amateur fishermen, families including children and backpackers have been photographed standing in the water with crocodiles visibly nearby. World leading crocodile expert Grahame Webb says “that for every crocodile you can see, there are “10 you can’t”.
Thanks for watching

Horizontal Waterfalls, from Broome, Jet Boat Trip, The Kimberley, Western Australia
Check out darwin2perth.com
What at adventure, we didn't really know how good this would be. We took off from Broome airport and landed in an inlet in the sea, the flight alone was a great experience. We got into a speed boat and were brought to a bigger cruiser for a BBQ lunch before the Horizontal Waterfall itself. We mounted the speed boat like you would a horse and set out for the big trip. The horizontal waterfall is actually here there is a break in the sea wall made of cliffs and the tide rises faster than it can flow into the inlet as seen from the overhead plane trip. We speed through the break in the wall up hill as it were through the rushing water. Amazing trip. This video gets a more exciting a minute in to it... :-)

Australian Navy Helicopters Hit by China Ship Lasers in the South China Sea
Australian navy helicopter pilots were hit by lasers while exercising in the South China Sea, forcing them to land as a precaution, a witness said.
It is the latest incident in the disputed waters where China has stepped up the defence of its sweeping territorial claims.
Scholar Euan Graham, who was onboard the Royal Australian Navy flagship HMAS Canberra on a voyage from Vietnam to Singapore, said that the lasers had been pointed from passing fishing vessels while the Canberra was being trailed by a Chinese warship.

Giant One-Armed Crocodile - Brutus
His name is Brutus. And this massive 16.5 foot, or 5.5 meter, giant one armed crocodile is who people hope to see when they take one of the popular jumping crocodile tours on the Adelaide river in Australia's northern territory.
Brutus is definitely a rarity. 70 is very old for a crocodile, Brutus, is thought to be up to 80 years old. He is also missing his front right leg, thought to have been bitten of by a shark when he was younger. And, even with just his head above the water, you can still tell it's Brutus because of his several missing teeth, another rarity, since crocodiles normally grow new teeth to replace old or lost ones.
When pictures of Brutus were posted on the internet earlier this year and many thought they were photo-shopped, but tour guides like Harry Bowman attests that Brutus is very real, and, not even the largest croc on the river.
At half meter longer, that honor goes to a croc nicknamed Barabas. Apparently both croc can be occasionally seen on the river though the two have been seen fighting, so the tour boats try to keep them apart. So according to Harry and contrary to rumor the massive croc Brutus and his slightly larger sparring partner Barabus, are very real.

14 day Seawind 24 sailing adventure from Darwin to Groote, Boating Fishing and Fun! Episode 1/8
This is a serious sailing adventure, We are not film makers but I thought I would make this documentary of the trip and I am glad I did.
My brother Jon Brought this sea wind 24 (Called 2BY4) in Darwin and asked me to help him sale it from Darwin to Groote Island. I love an adventure and so I jumped on a plane ready for adventure.
Jon said it would only take 3 days but its just as well I can read a map because I packed food for 14 days. We broke a rudder on the first night out and then stopped in a aboriginal community (Maningrida), They had the celebration of the 50th year of first white contact while we were there!!! Imagine that, 50 years ago they had never seen a white person.
From the fish we caught to the gear we broke, you will see me scared half to death and having a sward fight with a Mud Crab !!!
The fishing was great and on one beach I could just pick mud crabs up at low tide !!! (I can take your there)
650 Nautical miles (1.8 Nautical miles to a km) in a open sailing boat with just a outboard motor and about 80lt of fuel. We sailed the Arafura Sea and got chased by top end oyster growers. We saw turtles, dead nets and had Dolphins guided our way.
But its not all muddies and mackerel when your crossing a bar in a storm but with faith in your boat and crew, you won't become Fishy poo!! (I have about 4 more verses to this song if someone wants me to sing it and make a video, I would need some music though)
What at once in a lifetime trip. Anyway I am posting it here now because I have started this channel because I love to travel the ocean and see new cultures. If you like what you see and would like to support me making some more great films or you have some other ideas, Subscribe and help me fund the next trip...
Next time I want to paddle down the Mitchell River in a canoe, It is the longest east west flowing river in Australia and full of Crocs !! sounds fun!! One local I talked to on the mitchell river said he was so afraid of the big crocs in there that he would not even let his horse drink from it.
When this channel gets to 1,000 subscriber I promise that I will try to rope my brother back into the saddle for another great adventure.
Beuttie Mate!!

Brutus v Bull Shark
Brutus is a massive crocodile from Australia that has become an international star.. The big fella is estimated to be around 80- years old and weigh some two tons … and is distinguished by his missing right forelimb … it was thought to have been torn off during a fight with a shark. But Brutus may have gained some sweet revenge, judging by these pictures, which went viral. The 5.5 meter beast was seen snacking on a bull shark in Australia’s Northern Territory. The animal was spotted by passengers on a tour boat cruising down the Adelaide (AD-ell-aid) River. According to the tour guide, the bull shark was alive and wriggling as Brutus tore into him.
Croc sees Spots
Usually, it’s the crocodile that makes headlines for its vicious attacks. But we found a story where the tables were turned on the massive reptile … by a leopard! The incident took place at Kruger National Park in South Africa, which we previously mentioned. Onlookers say they saw the leopard speed out of the savannah and into a watering hole. When the big cat emerged, it was dragging the thrashing reptile up the waterhole’s bank. The two predators flipped and rolled about in a tense stand off … but the leopard had the croc by its throat and wouldn’t let go. The crocodile could only snap its jaws at air, and try to tear at the cat’s belly with its claws … which proved to be a futile effort. Despite the size difference, the leopard was able to stay on top of the croc and finally suffocate it. It later dragged the reptile into the brush and out of view. While crocodiles have been known to attack leopards, the reverse has never been documented -- until now.
_ Wish?
This image showed up in a video depicting a huge crocodile attacking a man in a river … The man apparently jumps into the water, and is chased by the crocodile … which overtakes him and drags him underwater. We researched the image and the video which runs around 17 seconds, but were unable to come up definite details such as where this incident took place. The date displayed by the camera is March 24 of 1994 (03.24.94) … but we couldn’t find any such incidents reported around that date. That, along with other details gave us reason to question the authenticity of the image and video. While it appears realistic, there’s reason to believe footage of the man is overlaid on the video … likely covering up the actual thing or animal the croc was pursuing … That conclusion is based upon the way the croc is seen attacking the man, with its head tilted. It would be unlikely for the reptile to grab its target by striking at such an angle. And of course, why would the guy jump into a river where a huge crocodile is clearly visible? That’s why we have a few doubts about this one … what do you think?
Eaten Alive
Did you know the deadliest crocodile attack in history took place during World II off the coast of Myanmar, on Ramree Island? In 1945, British troops clashed with Japanese forces as they arrived to construct an airbase. The British were eventually victorious, and forced some 1,000 enemy combatants into the dense swamps that covered some 10 miles of the island. When the Japanese soldiers staggered into Ramree’s mangrove jungle, they entered the habitat of the saltwater crocodile … the world’s largest living reptile. The creatures can typically measure over 19 feet, weigh more than a ton … and are noted for being hypercarnivorous apex predators. Drawn by the soldier’s sweat and bloody wounds, the crocs trapped the men in the confines of the swamp. Survivors told horror stories of countless crocodiles descending upon them en masse (on mass) … saying the animals would appear out of nowhere and drag victims off to eat. Screaming, and the sound of animal attacks filled the night air. Of the original 1,000, around 400 Japanese soldiers managed to escape the area. Guinness has noted the as the “Most Number of Fatalities in a Crocodile Attack.”
Hand Off
In a cruel irony, a crocodile was being treated with antibiotics because it had lost its appetite. When the zoo veterinarian tried to reach between the iron railing of the cage, the 434 (197 kg) pound croc suddenly lunged ford and snapped off the man’s arm at the elbow! The 28-year-old zoo vet was quickly tended to as colleagues applied a tourniquet. The 18-foot reptile wandered away with the severed limb in it’s jaws. When a worker fired two shots at the croc to kill it, the bullets missed. But the sharp report was enough to startle the beast, and it dropped the arm. It was retrieved by an official, and packed into ice.

All over the world, the humble little dinghy boat is the safe and simple introduction to boating for millions of people. Not in the town of Renmark, on the banks of South Australia's Murray River, however. There, in the otherwise sleepy town of just 8,000 souls, they like to strap souped-up outboard engines to their little dinghies and then race them at speeds of up to 80kph in a race that since 1981 has grown a deserved reputation as one of the fastest and wildest events on water, the Riverland Dinghy Derby.
