I rented a car from Sixt and drove from Nuremberg to Schweiz. This was a stop on the way where I stayed the night and got some awesome fog (when is there not fog) before I left.

Spiez is located on the southern shore of Lake Thun. The municipality Spiez extends from an altitude of 558 m above sea level.
The main attraction is the castle Spiez with representative rooms from the 13th to the 18th century. The extensive castle park and the more than 1000 years old pre-Romanesque castle church attract many tourists.
Spiez owns one of the highest vineyards north of the Alps, on which Spiezer wine is produced.
With its impressive panorama right on the water, Spiez offers its guests rest, strength and relaxation.
Embedded in hills and vineyards, Spiez on Lake Thun with its mild climate invites you to linger. Due to its central location, quickly and easily accessible, it is the ideal starting point for excursions to famous sights of the Bernese Oberland and the whole of Switzerland.

Spiez, Switzerland
Spiez claims to have the most beautiful bay in Europe - you can see the accompanying film and decide if you agree with this statement although it must be one of the contenders. Located on Lake Thun, this town of 12,500 boasts a medieval castle where one can visit the halls including the Baroque banquet hall built in 1614.
I stayed at the Stuhlegg campsite at Krattingen and took the bus in from there. With a visitor card, the bus is free and the campsite provided me with the visitor card.

Paisajes de ensueño, espectaculares y panorámicas, fantástica vista del pueblo de Spiez con su castillo y su capilla ocupando una privilegiada lengua de tierra que se adentra en las aguas del lago Thun. En esa zona del sur de Suiza, donde los paisajes de pastos verdes dejan paso a las montañas de nieves perpetuas de la cordillera de los Alpes. En esa parte donde aparecen pueblos de postal con un idílico telón de fondo montañoso. En esa zona del país aparecen dos lagos, el Thun y el Brienz, como dos joyas adornando el paisaje.
