A spectacular trip in the French Alps. From Les Deux Alpes, to LaGrave, Alpes D'Huez and eventually Serre Chevalier, a magical journey of discovery, of stunning landscapes and unspeakable joy.

And then... then.... there was that powder day in Deux Alpes... 60-70 cm of the light white stuff overnight...

A text I had once taught read:

Some experiences etch themselves so sharply in our memory that they form islands of clarity in our recollection

Our powder day was such an island of clarity. The reason why you hear only incoherent screams in the video is because words failed us so completely, language was totally unable to convey the feelings that we experienced. Sometimes I really wonder if we actually lived it, or whether it was a wet dream... I do know one thing though. I will NEVER forget that day. Not if I live to be 100...

Les 2 Alpes w HD - Narty we Francji 2010

Sezon letni pomału dobiega końca i wielu zastanawia się jak zorganizować sobie wyjazd na narty. Ja polecam Les 2 Alpes w Alpach Francuskich. Jest to mało znany u nas rejon, a posiada niezrównane piękno i wspaniałe warunki do uprawiania sportów zimowych. Tego piękna i warunków nie będę opisywał, bo to widać na filmie (zwłaszcza podczas oglądania w pełnej rozdzielczości i na dużym ekranie). Mimo znacznej odległości dojazd nie stanowi większego problemu, bo przeloty do Grenoble lub Genewy są częste i mają umiarkowane ceny.
Z Les 2 Alpes na 3520 m można wyjechać wyciągami, a jeszcze wyżej na lodowcu można dojechać będąc przyczepionym (wraz z wieloma innymi narciarzami i snowboardzistami) do ratraka. Jak to wygląda pokazałem już na filmie Glacier de la Girose:
W czasie jazdy mamy w zasięgu wzroku szereg czterotysięczników z Mount Blanc i wspaniałym Les Ecrins na czele.
Będąc w Les 2 Alps ma się w niedużej odległości inny bardzo ciekawy ośrodek narciarski w Alpe d'Huez, gdzie można jeździć mając jeden skipass. Dojechać tam można autobusem, ale to trwa dość długo z racji górskich dróg. Bardzo atrakcyjny jest więc przelot w obie strony helikopterem (za całkiem umiarkowaną cenę)

Lance ARMSTRONG comes back on the Tour de France 2015. He arrive in Rodez the 16/07/2015, one day before the caravan.
Six years after his comeback, Lance Armstrong is back on the roads of the Tour de France on Thursday. The roads, but not the Tour since the American will participate in a charity operation The Tower, One day ahead (Le Tour, a day before). Eleven cyclists (9 men and 2 women) do the full route of the Tour one day before the professional peloton in order to raise funds for research against leukemia. The program Muret-Rodez (198.5 km) on Thursday (at 8 am) and Rodez, Mende (178.5 km), Friday.
