The Spree is a river that flows through the Saxony, Brandenburg and Berlin states of Germany, and in the Ústí nad Labem region of the Czech Republic. Approximately 400 kilometres (250 mi) in length, it is a left bank tributary of the River Havel, which itself flows into the Elbe and then the North Sea. It is the river on which the original centre of Berlin was built.

Note as this was recorded on a boat, it's not that fast ;-)

With this simple video format I try to make content for people interested in Berlin, who don't have the chance to visit the city or maybe plan to do so. I took a walk with my camera. No talking, no guided tour. Just uncut footage.
Auf der Spree durch Berlin/Boat trip trough Berlin
On a three-hour boat trip on the Berlin river Spree, you can experience the wonders of the ancient and modern Berlin from a different perspective.
Berlin kann man besonders gut auch vom Wasser aus erkunden. Auf einer dreistündigen Dampferfahrt über die Spree erlebt man einige der schönsten Sehenswürdigkeiten des alten und modernen Berlin mal aus einer anderen Perspektive. Ein besonderes Erlebnis selbst für Einheimische. Start ist in der Nähe des Schloss Charlottenburg, dann geht es weiter in Richtung Schloss Bellevue, Kanzleramt, Regierungsviertel, vorbei am Nikolaiviertel. Dann durch die Schleuse am Mühlendamm, vorbei am historischen Hafen und weiter O2 World bis zur Oberbaumbrücke. Nach dieser bekannten Brücke wird etwa beim Badeschiff gewendet und man kann zum Ausgangspunkt zurückfahren.

This time were in #Berlin in #Germany taking a boat trip along the river Spree. The trip is called Historical city cruise and starts at the Nikoleiviertel near Alexanderplatz. It goes all the way to the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (house of the worlds cultures) passing Friedrichstraße, Reichstag and the central station. The trip is a return trip but can be startet at both ends.

Berlin, Germany - Spree River boat tour
One of the most relaxing and fun ways to tour Berlin is by way if a tour boat on the Spree River. You will see the striking buildings of Museum Island, go under several bridges as you pass several neighborhoods and also glimpse the ultra modern office buildings adjacent to the Reichstag.
The staff was very friendly and helpful; in the event of rain, clear plexiglass covering is immediately put into place & it won't hinder the views or the experience. I imagine the evening view would be quite enjoyable with lights coming on, etc.
As is our custom, Ed did all of the camcorder video filming (without narrations this time, letting the natural sounds prevail). I did the still photography, chose the music heard (credits further below), edited everything and uploaded to You Tube.
