Royal Wedding: Prince Harry, Prince William Enter St. George’s Chapel | TODAY
Edinburgh's New Town Charlotte Square to Waterloo Place
Charlotte Square houses some of the most beautiful Georgian buildings in the city. These date back to the late 1700's. The north side of the square is home to Bute House which is the official residence of Scotland's First Minister in the Country's Devolved Parliament. The New Town was conceived as a result of a competition for a design to ease the overcrowded conditions suffered by the residents down from the castle. It became the place for the wealthy to stay - probably still is. The general layout of the original group of buildings was to have a large square at each end of a long street. Today there are many extra streets added but the original Charlotte Square joined by George Street to St Andrews Square still exists. A parallel street to the north is Queen Street while the famous Princes Street runs to the to the south.
This video starts at the West End, the Charlotte Square end then leads the viewer along George Street towards St Andrews Square. Another early idea was to have a major church at each end, these being St George's Church and St Andrews Church. Today the two churches have been amalgamated into St Georges and St Andrews church and these are based, in one building, near the north east end of George Street. The original St George's is now West Register House an important repository for the country's documentation.
This video was made on a very damp and windy day so apologies for the shakiness. Viewers might be interested to note the steepness of the streets running at right angles north and south of George Street. Edinburgh is a very hilly city.
London, England: Westminster Abbey
Kings and queens have been crowned and buried since 1066 here in this most historic church in the English-speaking world. Filled with the remains of people who put the Great in Britain — saints, musicians, scientists, and soldiers — gloriously Gothic Westminster Abbey is the national church and the religious heart of the nation. English literature lovers find strolling through the memorials in Poets' Corner is a pilgrimage in itself.

St Phillip Howard, Saint Philip Howard, Earl of Arundel English Martyr (full film)
St Phillip Howard, Saint Philip Howard, the Earl of Arundel and English Martyr - filmed on location in Arundel, West Sussex, at the Cathedral of Our Lady and Saint Philip Howard and Arundel Castle, presenting his life (suitable for use in classrooms and for all ages).
Produced in 2011 by Mary's Dowry Productions
marysdowryproductions,org
The film is also available worldwide on DVD.
This film looks at the life of Saint Philip Howard who was the cousin of Queen Elizabeth I. Initially a worldly, ambitious man of the court, this Elizabethan nobleman converted to the Catholic Faith of his ancestors after hearing the disputations of Jesuit priest and future Martyr St. Edmund Campion.
Due to his conversion and work with recusant Catholics the Earl was arrested while leaving England from Littlehampton, not far from Arundel. He was imprisoned in the Tower of London, eventually condemned to death. He was offered his freedom if he simply attended one Protestant State service, which he refused to do.
The Queen, his cousin, delayed the execution, perhaps thinking he would die or give in to her demands. The Earl however lingered in the Tower of London for eleven long years, not even permitted to see his wife or children.
Philip Howard eventually died in the Tower and was beatified, later Canonised, an English Martyr. He leaves a great witness to Faith and courage for all peoples today.
In this film, Saint Philip Howard tells his own story over footage of the historic town of Arundel, paintings, maps and historical documents connected to his life and original music.
His feast day is celebrated on 19th October.

Charles and Camilla Wedding - Greeting Crowds of Well Wishers
The wedding of Charles, Prince of Wales, and Camilla Parker Bowles took place in a civil ceremony at Windsor Guildhall, on 9 April 2005. The ceremony, conducted in the presence of the couple's families, was followed by a Church of England Service of Prayer and Dedication at St George's Chapel, which incorporated an act of penitence. The groom's parents, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, did not attend the civil wedding ceremony but were present at the Service of Prayer and Dedication and held a reception for the couple in Windsor Castle afterwards.

St. George's Episcopal Church
St. George's Episcopal Church is a church in Fredericksburg, Virginia at 905 Princess Anne Street. The church, built in the 18th century and re-built in 1815 and 1849, is a part of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia.
An area of land was designated as St. George's Parish as early as 1720, but construction of a church building was not begun until 1732. The wooden frame church was completed in 1741. Mary Ball Washington, the mother of George Washington, and her family living in the area, attended this old St. George's.
St. George's joined the new Protestant Episcopal Church of the United States in 1789.
A new building, in brick, replaced the old wooden church in 1815, but that was itself replaced by the present building in 1849.
During the Battle of Fredericksburg (1862), the church was damaged by cannon fire; it was also used as a command post for the Union Army when they took the city.
The church has been continuously developed, including the addition of side galleries (1854), the town clock and installation of striking stained glass windows (some by Tiffany) at various times (1885--1943). The original pews are still in use, but there have been various refurbishments and restorations to the organ, the buildings on the surrounding site such as the hall, and to the church building itself.
[edit] St. George's todayThe church is an active and thriving community, with a wide range of services, activities and events. Visitors are welcome, and the church is open for prayer and meditation daily from 8 am to 10 pm. On Sunday, the building remains open until approximately 9 pm. Except in summer, Sunday services are at 7:45 am, 9 am, and 11 am. During summer, services are at 7:45 am and 10 am.
