Stanford University Campus Tour
WATCH IN HD!
Campus tour of Stanford University located in Palo Alto, California. Absolutely gorgeous campus that is well maintained and manicured. One of the most prestigious universities in the world and being next to Silicon Valley it is a science, engineering, tech powerhouse. Inspiring atmosphere and culture. Love the building architecture (Mission Revival) and how all the buildings match, similar to CU-Boulder. It would be amazing to be a student here. This campus is so ginormous and dense it was difficult to explore all the areas given my limited amount of time.

The Wave
administered by:
Israeli Educational Television.
The Third Wave was the name given by history teacher Ron Jones to an experimental recreation of Nazi Germany which he conducted with high school students.
The experiment took place at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto, California, during one week in 1969[1]. Jones, unable to explain to his students why the German citizens (particularly non-Nazis) allowed the Nazi Party to exterminate millions of Jews and other so-called 'undesirables', decided to show them instead. Jones writes that he started with simple things like classroom discipline, and managed to meld his history class into a group with a supreme sense of purpose and no small amount of cliquishness. Jones named the movement The Third Wave, after the common wisdom that the third in a series of ocean waves is always the strongest, and claimed its members would revolutionize the world. The experiment allegedly took on a life of its own, with students from all over the school joining in;

The Mission Viejo Nadadores is one of the largest swimming and diving clubs in the United States. The team is located in Mission Viejo, California, training at the Marguerite Aquatic Center. The Nadadores were started in 1968 and have had athletes at every Olympics since 1976. The team holds the record for winning the most team titles at the USA swimming Nationals, having won 47.
At the 1984 Summer Olympics, Nadadores athletes won 13 medals (10 Gold).[1] Notable alumni include: Brian Goodell, Shirley Babashoff, Mary T. Meagher, Robin Leamy, Greg Louganis, Amy Shaw, Ricardo Prado, Jesse Vassallo, Tiffany Cohen, Dara Torres, Coach Mike O'Brien, Coach Mark Schubert, Coach Terry Stoddard, Coach Dr. Sammy Lee, and Coach Jim Montrella.
Currently the Nadadores are led by American Swimming Coaches Association Hall of Fame member, Coach Bill Rose.[2] Janet Ely is the High Performance Director of the Diving Team. At the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, Nadadore Larsen Jensen (American Record Holder) captured a Silver Medal in the Men's 1500 freestyle.
In 2007, the oldest swimming world record was broken by Kate Ziegler in the 1500m freestyle at the TYR Swim Meet of Champions, which the team hosts annually.
The USC Trojans are the athletic teams representing the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. While the men's teams are nicknamed the Trojans, the women's athletic teams are referred to as either the Trojans or Women of Troy (the university officially approves both terms). The program participates in the Pacific-12 Conference and has won 118 team national championships, 96 of which are NCAA National Championships.[2] USC's cross-town rival is UCLA, with whom there is fierce athletic and scholastic competition. However, USC's rivalry with Notre Dame predates the UCLA rivalry by three years. The Notre Dame rivalry stems mainly from the annual football game played between these two universities and is considered the greatest intersectional rivalry in college football.

About this airport:
Palo Alto Airport (IATA: PAO, ICAO: KPAO, FAA LID: PAO) is a general aviation airport in the city of Palo Alto in Santa Clara County, California, USA, near the south end of San Francisco Bay on the western shore.[1] It is among the busiest General Aviation airports in the United States, though the #1 rank belongs to Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) [2
Facilities[edit]
Palo Alto Airport[3] covers 102 acres (41 ha) and has one asphalt paved runway (13/31) measuring 2,443 × 70 ft. (745 × 21 m).
First time pilots should familiarize themselves with the complex SF Bay Area airspace, especially the overlying SFO Class B and the abutting SJC Class C airspace. Landing pilots should also watch out for bird and jackrabbit activity.

The airport is also home to a number of flying clubs (in order of establishment): the Stanford Flying Club (est. 1930),[4] the West Valley Flying Club (est. 1973),[5] Sundance Flying Club (est. 2006), the Advantage Aviation Flying Club, and, the Advanced Flyers. The airport is located within one-half mile of U.S. Route 101.
Fifteen miles of hiking and biking trails, affording multiple opportunities for birdwatching, form part of the adjacent 1,940-acre (785 ha) Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve.[6] The airport is also adjacent to a public golf course.[7] Dining options within a short walk include the Abundant Air Cafe,[8] and the Bay Café[9] at the golf course.
