This is the first of two videos from an 8 day backpacking and canyoneering loop in the Escalante area October 2019. Me and my buddy Joey Coconato of My Own Frontier complete Steve Allens Escalante South route over a period of 8 very dry days, there has been no rain in the area for over 100 days. We follow the challenging route from Crack in the Wall, through Coyote Gulch, crossing the Escalante River, heading up Stevens Canyon and up the Baker trail to the top of the Waterpocket Fold. From there we head to Cliff Point for some amazing 360 views of Canyon Country, we could see Monument valley and Navajo Mountain in the south, Boulder Mountain and Powell Point to the north, Henry Mountains, Bears Ears, Lake Powell and even the La Sal Mountains to the east. This first video ends with a beautiful 360 sunset at Cliff Point, but stay tuned for video nr. 2 named The Scary Stuff for the canyon hopping, climbing and traversing part of the trip from Cliff to Georges Camp Canyon, down the very scary bighorn sheep trails and across the Escalante to Ezra Mc Bench, Fools Canyon, Kings Bench and back to Coyote Gulch for the climb out by Jacob Hamblin Arch and the end of the trip. Did we find water? Did we fall off a cliff on the bighorn sheep trail?

This is the cross country mountain view trail, not to be confused with the mountain view trail just inside the Mammoth bike park.
You don't need a pass to ride this trail.

Mount McCausland Hike - Stevens Pass - Cascade Mountains - Washington State
Mount McCausland - Is located in Central Cascades - In Stevens Pass. The hike is 7 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1800 ft. The Hike Starts with Mountain views from the parking lot. The first few miles of the hike is fairly easy throw lush forest with small switchbacks and peak-a-boo views of mountains as you turn a corner. Fall time offers incredible colors and a variety of mushrooms along the way. As you approach the junction to Lake Valhalla and Mount Mccausland you are surrounded by huckleberry bushes that turn bright red in the fall time. From there the trail begins to climb and becomes steeper with the last miles being a gradual incline all the way up. On the way you will have views of Lake Valhalla and mountain ranges all around you. The colors around are magnificent.

Hike to the summit of Potato Mountain with incredible view of snow capped Mt Baldy
The view here after the Thanksgiving Day snow storm is incredibly breathtaking. Mt Baldy Road is accessible only if you have snow tire chain. It's strictly enforced.
Potato Mountain is a very important hiking destination for the locals of Claremont. For many it will be their first ascent of a peak. Potato Mountain stands as a sentinel over Claremont and it's Wilderness Park. Great views of the Inland Valley and the foothills of Claremont are to be seen. Potato Mountain is on the Lower Peaks List of the Sierra Club. There is over five different routes to the summit. Other nearby peaks are Windy Point, Sunset Ridge, Colver Peak, Frankish Peak, Stoddard Peak, and BM La Verne.
Mount San Antonio, colloquially referred to as Mount Baldy, is the highest peak of the San Gabriel Mountains, and the highest point in Los Angeles County, California.The peak is within the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and Angeles National Forest. It is the tallest mountain in the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Mount San Antonio's sometimes snow-capped peaks are visible on clear days and dominate the view of the Los Angeles Basin skyline. The peak is pyramid shaped, with a steep south face (Baldy Bowl) and a shallower north face. The summit is accessible via a number of connecting ridges along hiking trails from the north, east, south and southwest.

Hold My Beer, Cold Run Down Cold Creek | Almost Died!
Finally made it to the Yacolt Burn State Forest in Southern Washington to ride Cold Creek and Thrillium. This video is me trying to blast an unfamiliar trail and nearly paying big consequences after riding a rock garden straight into a 3' log drop off the side of the trail. I took it in the front and the back on this one and somehow held on!

I am not 100% sure, but I know we took Upper Stevens Creek to this point, I believe it is the beginning of the Grizzly Flat trail but I am not 100% sure. Yes I lost it on the switchback, I am terrible at them, I definately need more practice with them.

This hike is near the Crystal Lake area off highway 39 on mile marker 34.8
I believe this is year round waterfall.
