Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: From an eyesore to a tourist attraction

Inspired by the Favela homes in Brazil, a slum urban area in which later became a tourist attraction for foreigners visiting the area, the local government of La Trinidad, Benguet created the Stobosa Hillside Homes Artwork (spanning around the sitios of Stonehill, Botiwtiw and Sadjap). The houses at the Hillside Homes in Benguet was turned by some artists into a mural which will attract tourists to visit the area.

AMAZING colorful HOUSES on the HILLSIDE????La Trinidad BENGUET!!!
I was having a short joyride in Baguio city going to La Trinidad and these colourful houses caught my attention. Let me show you the magnificent Colors of Stobosa. It is quite beautiful and attractive!! I hope they can do projects like this in Manila and all over the Philippines as well! It would be nice to live in a colourful environment :) Maui Boy will be on the end of the video ????

Beautiful Homes! The Colors of Stobosa
Footage shows a beautiful village in a remote part of the Philippines where all the houses are painted in bright colours. The Colors of Stobosa was developed by local artists in the town of La Trinidad, Benguet region. Video captures the reaction of an amazed car passenger as their vehicle arrives at the foot of the mountain, with the beautifully coloured homes towering above them on December 5. The artwork was commissioned in 2016 by the local council as part of a redevelopment project. More than 500 volunteers took part.

- Inilunsad ngayong araw ng Department Of Tourism ang Stobosa Hillside Homes Artwork sa La Trinidad, Benguet. Pinintahan ang mga bahay sa bundok at nagmistulang mural. Ibinase ang painting sa Favela Paintings sa Brazil at idinisensyo ng Tam-Awan Village Artists. Layon ng naturang proyekto na palakasin pa ang turismo sa lugar. Nasa isandaan at limampung bahay ang pinintahan para sa proyekto. May dalawang buwan pa rin para tuluyang makumpleto ang mural na ang disenyo ay sunflower. Plano rin ng department of tourism na gawin ang kaparehong proyekto sa Quirino Hill, Baguio City

The Colors of StoBoSa, officially designated as the StoBoSa Hillside Homes Artwork, is a community artwork designed by the Tam-awan Village group, The paintwork of multiple houses composes the single artwork.
2nd stop: strawberry farm at La Trinidad
Best family bonding in Baguio is picking fresh, sweet, strawberry together at the farm.
But during this time, strawberries is almost harvested and need to wait for another few months or weeks.

Visiting the Valley of colors, La Trinidad / Bell church, Baguio city.
The valley of colors was a town of not so beautiful houses. Few years back, it's wasn't as beautiful as this and it did not attract much visitor and because of this, the government decided to work on the area to make it more pleasing to the eye. So the came up with this ideal of painting the houses with different colors. We could not get to the top of the hill because it's a residential area and we couldn't trespass.
Bell church is a Chinese temple located in the border of Baguio and La Trinidad, Benguet. It's a beautiful place with beautiful gardens and status.

Let's explore the other part of baguio
There is a chinese temple and beautiful village.
Jelyn shows those place by herself.
Jelyn Valdez lives in Baguio, The Philippines.
She was bron and bred in Baguio and La trinidad.
She loves her town. So, she wanted to leave her own memories on my film.
We had fun for a day shooting. We didn't have any script but she just planed to show me.
Not a specialized tour guide but you can see her truth love on her town.
Actually I filmed this video last year of December. Unfornuantly, I couldn't finish editing well because I'm too lazy ????. In my defence, I needed to do other priority job. I will show you 3 or 4 more films with Jelyn. She will show you something in those area.

BAGUIO IN 2 MINUTES: Valley of Colors
Still not very popular amongst tourists in the city of Baguio is the Stobosa Valley of Colors. This giant colorful artwork of painted houses can be seen along the main road to Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad.
A beautification joint project of the local tourism unit of the Cordillera Administrative Region, members of local arts community, the Tam-awan Village artists, various organizations and volunteers. Stobosa Hillside Homes Artwork project is inspired by the Favela houses in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
