Stravaigin - the Restaurant (Glasgow, Scotland)
Our intimate restaurant is the setting for an exotic, inspired menu that meanders the world, exploring different cuisines whilst relying on incredible local produce. We inspire folk to wander off the beaten path for adventurous, great tasting food that’s sourced sustainably, both locally and globally.

Stravaigin - the Café Bar (Glasgow, Scotland)
Over the past twenty five years, Stravaigin has grown to become a trusted local icon where great food and a friendly pint go hand in hand. A relaxed, lively space serving experimental, worldly food, and traditional 35ml measures from an eclectic drinks list, we’re also the perfect place to watch some cracking trad music.
Benihana in Glasgow, Scotland, UK - Amazing food, Great Service and fun atmosphere #BenihanaGlasgow
#BenihanaGlasgow
this was our first visit to Benihana Glasgow. The restaurant is located on West Nile street. Inside they had amazing wall decor of Glasgow. All the walls in the restaurant told the story of Benihaha's and how it came to be.
We had some amazing starters, Edamame chilli,Chicken Gyoza, Spring rolls & Benihana onion soup (with mushrooms).
we opted for the A La Carte menu. We got a voucher from 'Itison'. We had the hibachi Steak 7 chicken combo. This came with a side salad, hibachi rice and vegetables.
It was pretty amazing. We have been to other similar places in the USA but this is the first time we have went to one in the UK and it was really good. The service was really good. They made sure we got everything we needed. They took the time to explain the history of Benihana and what their future plans where in the UK.
Our recommendation is go try it, I'm sure you will not be disappointed.

Let's Eat Glasgow: From Field to Fork
Let's Eat Glasgow! - Scotland’s First Restaurant Festival and Pop-Up Market takes place at SWG3, Finnieston on 5th & 6th September 2015.
GlasgowMajorEvents.com caught up with Colin Clydesdale to discuss the aims and aspirations behind Let's Eat Glasgow! and how suppliers and producers can get involved.
More about the festival....
Let’s Eat Glasgow! is the first event staged by Real Food, Real Folk: an exciting new co-operative uniting chefs with a passion for promoting the city’s increasingly lively and diverse food scene with a deeper, social purpose at heart.
The event will feature livestock; a pop up market with around 60 of the West of Scotland’s top artisan food and drink producers and food-based local social enterprises; cooking demonstrations and live entertainment; as well as a restaurant showcasing the great food created by the city’s top restaurants under the banner Real Food, Real Folk, the not for profit collective which includes Cail Bruich Restaurants, Cottonrake, Crabshakk, The Gannet, Guy's Restaurant & Bar, Mother India, Ox and Finch, Stravaigin and the Ubiquitous Chip as founders.
Any profits raised from Let's Eat Glasgow! will be used to assist in future education projects in areas of our city where food poverty and social inclusion are ongoing problems.
