Heads up y'all: Yes the cake didn't get quite done, I did this on purpose so I could have the oven to finish my Easter meal. I was unable to cook it the day before because my mother was sick. If you cook this cake until done it rises beautifully! This video is taken from live footage on Easter 2019. I am making our traditional Easter strawberry sheet cake. It is so moist and delicious and easy to make. This is an old recipe that everyone made in the 70's so your Mama or Grandmother probably made it! It is always popular at a gathering.

NOW FOR THIS FAMILY RECIPE:
Use 10-12 oz frozen strawberries, put them in a bowl and microwave for 3 minutes. Take them out of the microwave and mash them with a potato master or large spoon against bottom of bowl.
For Cake:
Mix 1 White cake mix with 3 oz. strawberry gelatin
Add 3/4 cup oil, 1/2 cup water, 4 eggs at room temperature
Add 1/2 heaping cup of strawberries
Mix and pour in a well-greased 1/4 sheet cake pan
bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes!
Cool on cooling rack
Icing:
1 stick margerine
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup mashed strawberries (drain berries or strain well)
Ice cooled cake and enjoy :)

Strawberry Farming Meets Mathematics at Clarkson University
A meeting among mathematics professors in 2011 leads to changes in the way strawberry farmers plant their crops today.
Pajaro Valley in California's Monterey Bay area is where half the strawberries grow in the United States. It is also just one of the places experiencing problems with it's water supply. The American Institute of Mathematics decided to step in and help. At first glance, one might think that farmers and mathematics professors just don't add up. However, they have problem solving very much in common.
Enter Kathleen Fowler, an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Clarkson University. She began researching water tables, growth rates and slowly realized that perhaps strawberries were not the right crop being grown at the right time. In fact, the right berry to grow was the raspberry because of its water-sipping ways.
Fowler would also go on to investigate surface water and other ways to retain water from rainfall to keep the California aquifer filled up and ready for the next strawberry crop.
Strawberry fields forever, with some help from mathematicians! - Science Nation
The Pajaro Valley in California's Monterey Bay area is ideally suited for agriculture. In fact, the Pajaro Valley and the nearby Salinas Valley produce nearly half of the strawberries grown in the United States yearly. But, the water source for the valley is a confined underground aquifer that is slowly being depleted.
How can mathematics help solve this problem? In January 2011, the American Institute of Mathematics held a Sustainability Problems workshop with the goal of bringing together mathematicians and industry representatives to work on a variety of sustainability problems, including renewable energy, air quality, water management and other environmental issues.
During the week of the workshop and with follow-up activity, a team headed by mathematicians Kathleen Fowler and Lea Jenkins has made significant progress in the creation of a virtual farm model to study alternative crop management strategies and their effect on water usage and profit. The team also investigated a surface water analysis to understand feasible ways to capture rainfall for re-infiltration (or recharging) into the aquifer.

Crayola is a brand of artists' supplies manufactured by Crayola, LLC (formerly Binney & Smith Company) and best known for its crayons. The company is based in Forks Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Since 1984, Crayola has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Hallmark Cards. Originally an industrial pigment supply company, Crayola soon shifted its focus to art products for home and school use, beginning with chalk, then crayons, followed later by colored pencils, markers, paints, modeling clay, and other related goods. All Crayola-branded products are marketed as nontoxic and safe for use by children. Most Crayola crayons are made in the United States.
Shopkins figurines are roughly 1 inch in height and 1 inch in width, roughly the size of a United States Quarter. Each figurine has a face and its own name. They are distributed in bright coloured packaging with bubble letters. Shopkins are based on grocery items such as a sweet apple named Apple Blossom, a chocolate bar named Cheeky Chocolate, a lipstick named Lippy Lips, and a chocolate chip cookie named Kooky Cookie
