China Take Over Day One : Beijing
Very proud of my students here at SAIPU Academy in Beijing, China! Even with the language barrier they were able to grasp the concepts of FST-7 training! They absorbed knowledge about the IFBB as well as Evogen Nutrition!
-
Their support and love was unmatched and I appreciate the encouragement they gave myself and @missnarmin for the upcoming 2017 Olympia!
-
You all will be in my mind as I prepare for the #war4four and I look forward to coming back again soon! -
Special thank you to @morganamou for assisting Narmin and I this weekend with teaching and translating for the students! -
Travelling the Trans-Siberian - life
From Moscow to the eastern borders of China, the world's longest railway line - the Trans-Siberian, stretches for more than 9,000 kilometres; a truly great railway journey - in this edition of Russian Life.
At midnight every other day, a Rossiya train leaves Moscow for a week-long trip to Vladivostok. It is an extraordinary trip and many come from far and wide to do it.
This is the longest train journey that one can make, said English tourist Robert Bird. And you just have to do it, because it's there! I'm happy sitting in the train, looking at the scenery, and going to places that I've never been to before. I just find it so fascinating!
It is a home away from home for hundreds of passengers who sleep, eat, enjoy the limited comfort and try to have a good time during their days on board the train.
Irina Savina, one of the train's conductors said:
Very few passengers do the whole journey from Moscow to Vladivostok in a single trip, and those who do should be prepared mentally and physically - a whole week on a train might not be easy. But we provide everything necessary to make it an enjoyable travel.
In the first and second classes, there are individual compartments that accommodate two and four passengers respectively.
This is a popular mode of transport for tourists and businessmen alike who shuttle between Russia's major cities on trains rather than planes.
There are dozens of stations between Moscow and Vladivostok allowing passengers to stretch their legs for a few minutes and stock up on food and drinks.
Factfile: The Trans-Siberian
* A first class ticket from Moscow to Vladivostok on a Rossiya train costs around 1000 euros, including daily meal service. The third class is 315 euros
* First class passengers can order their meals to be delivered in their compartments or have it at a dining car
* There's a hot shower in one of the train carriages. It costs 200 roubles (5 euros)
* Train personnel is helpful and attentive but doesn't always speak foreign languages
* All train schedules in Russia use Moscow time; the time difference between Moscow and Vladivostok is seven hours
Many tourists prefer to visit some of the most interesting cities along the track before continuing their Trans-Siberian journey.
Some of the most passionate travellers ride in the cheaper third class carriages: known as platzkart.
Here people from many different backgrounds mix together in an open carriage throughout their odyssey.
Inna Kryazhevskih who was travelling to Kirov said: A train journey is a good time to reflect on something, to think of the things we never have time for in our daily lives.
Dasha Kryazhevskih who was going the same way added: Sometimes you sleep a lot, sometimes you read, or do something creative - we made some toys and beaded jewellery while travelling on this train.
Vladimir Kosinov, the Train Master, said:
You can learn a lot about Russia by crossing it from Moscow to Vladivostok on this train. If you observe other passengers, especially Russians, if you get to know them then you'll understand many things about our way of life and the mysterious Russian soul.
Lots of people decide to stop in the historic Siberian city of Yekaterinburg and then a few days further down the line in Irkutsk where they can see Baikal, the world's deepest lake.
From there they can head south to Mongolia and China or continue their eastward journey to Vladivostok, Russia's main port city on the Pacific Ocean.
Whatever the destination, for those with a spirit for adventure, the Trans-Siberian trip is a Russian speciality not to miss.

First Class Bullet Train from Beijing to Tongxiang! +300km/hour
Recently I traveled on the high speed train, from Beijing to Tongxiang. This trip was quite unique as I was able to try out the first class on a Chinese bullet train. This was new to me as I usually travel second class when traveling by train in China.
What was special, is that I was able to order McDonald's using my phone and that my order got delivered to me on the train!
In the video you can exactly see how that worked.
Wondering how I am able to use YouTube and other social media while being in China? I use a VPN. I mostly use ExpressVPN. Find more info here;

American Airlines 787 DREAMLINER Economy Class REVIEW | Miami to Shanghai via Dallas
In April of 2019, I took my second trip to China in four years. I flew to Shanghai to do a one-day job with a well-known company, but I decided to build a 10-day trip around that job so I could properly explore the cities of Shanghai, Suzhou, and Hangzhou and vlog them for the first time. Come along with me as I travel from Miami to Shanghai via Dallas on American Airlines!
My travel day began at Miami International Airport early in the morning. I couldn’t wait to get there and eat some delicious Chinese food! But first, I had to fly 3 hours to Dallas and then fly another 15 hours to get to Shanghai!
My flight to Dallas was super early, but it was very smooth, which I’m always grateful for. It was packed because it was a Monday and I couldn’t film. Thankfully, I slept! I landed in Dallas at a gate very close to the gate I’d use to get to Shanghai.
I had a short connection in Dallas, and then I boarded the 787 Dreamline. This was my third or fourth time flying in one to Asia. I love the technology on the windows of these planes! They also have flat screen TVs with lots of entertainment. I can also work from my seat and plug in my laptop.
For lunch, I ordered some chicken, potato salad, a brownie, tomato with cheese, and some wine. The chicken had a type of Chinese sauce on it. It was really good! The potato salad had a lot of mayo in it, but it wasn’t too bad. I had to eat it all because the next meal wasn’t for another eight hours!
After lunch, I passed out and slept almost five hours. There were still seven hours left, so I watched a couple of movies. I usually get up and walk around every two hours to stretch my legs.
After 13 hours, we only had 2 hours to go. I watched Bohemian Rhapsody, which was really great and Rami Malek killed it as Freddie Mercury. It’s a long flight, but 787 Dreamliners make it really comfortable because you don’t feel a lot of bumps and the flights are really smooth.
The only downsides are that you only get two meals and pretzels to snack on in-between, and the American Airlines staff isn’t that friendly, and the service isn’t that great when compared to Qatar Airways.
We were served a mediocre meal of noodles soon before we began our descent. We arrived at 3 p.m. Shanghai time, which is 3 a.m. Miami time, so I had to drink a coffee to wake me up!
After a long, 15-hour flight, I landed in Shanghai, but it was raining really hard, so we couldn’t park at the gate and we had to get a bus. We waited in the bus for 40 minutes. Foreigners have to get their fingerprints scanned and get registered and get a visa, which costs $290. I got my ten-year visa back in 2015.
I highly recommend foreigners go to expressvpn.com before visiting China and buying and downloading their service. Buy the one that best suits the amount of time you’ll be in the country. That way, you can access GMail and all of your social media on your phone and laptop while you’re in China. It’s a must if you want to stay connected!
What an incredible travel experience! But now, I couldn’t wait to begin my epic, three-city Chinese adventure!
I hope you enjoyed this American Airlines 787 Dreamliner Economy Class review and travel vlog from Miami to Shanghai! If you did, please give this video a thumbs up and leave me a comment below. Also, please subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss out on any of my upcoming travel/food adventures!

Why Ultra-Long Flights Are Better Than Short Ones
Long-haul flights. You know, those marathon adventures that fly you half-way around the world, are terrifyingly boring, and tire you to no end. But nowadays, long-distance travel is nothing like it was years ago! And the experience of flying 20 hours straight might turn out to be much more enjoyable than you expected!
Let's say you need to get from Singapore to New York, which usually takes about 19 hours. Chances are, you'll travel the distance of almost 10,000 miles on a plane that has been designed specifically for flying super-long routes. Travelers have more space between armrests, more head and shoulder room, as well as more legroom. On top of that, the air circulation and lighting in the cabin are adjusted in a way that’s supposed to help passengers deal with jet lag more easily!

SUMMARY:
- One of the most exciting features of Airbus A350 is its tail camera! You’ll be so mesmerized by your gorgeous airliner crossing the globe, you probably won't even pay attention to any other in-flight entertainment.
- The Dreamliner does everything to make your journey feel like a dream. For example, it has a special system that makes the air in the cabin much more humid.
- An LED lighting system makes it easier for you to adjust from daylight to darkness at night, and the air circulates around the cabin every two minutes.
- Long flights are usually more comfortable than short ones, what with all these bigger seats and more space. And it doesn't even matter whether you fly economy or first class.
- Almost all long flights have great in-flight entertainment. So, you can occupy your time by watching movies, listening to music, or playing games.
- The only alternative to a long-haul flight is to fly for 8 or so hours, jolt awake, sleepily gather your things, and spend several more hours at an unfamiliar airport.
- If you know that you’ll need to go to the bathroom pretty often or will feel the need to stretch your legs, choose an aisle seat. Otherwise, you'll have to climb over your dozing neighbors.
- Remember to ask cabin crew the right questions. And the first one should be, Is the plane full? Because, if it isn't, you can probably have another, more comfortable seat.
- Every time you fly, it's better to put on comfortable clothes. But on ultra-long-haul flights, it's critical.
- It's a good idea to fill your water bottle at the airport before take-off, and keep drinking this water during the flight.
- Try to sleep as much as you can on a long-haul flight. It’ll allow you to get to your destination in a reasonably adequate, non-zombie state.
- You probably know that you can claim compensation if your flight is delayed, overbooked, or canceled. But what few people are aware of is that the longer the flight is, the bigger the compensation.

I visited the Great Wall of China - November 2017
On a recent trip to Beijing I went to the great wall of China. We left the hotel at 7am.. It was SO cold, the drive from the city to the wall was about 1hour which isn't long and it's definitely worth it.
We took the Cable Way (note that it's a ski lift... All open and not 100% secure.. I don't film. It as I was too scared I'd drop my phone!) up to the wall which takes you to watchtower 4... There is a Cable car that takes you up to one of the higher watchtowers but we decided we would walk up to it from the 4th Watchtower.
The views were amazing, and certain stretches of the wall are super steep.. I know my legs will feel it in a couple of days... We ended the walk with the 5 minute toboggan ride down..... It was awesome.. Such a fun way to get back down to the bottom.

2002 Chin Woo New Zealand Kung Fu Journey
In December 2002, I, along with 19 other's from Chin Woo New Zealand embarked on a 14 day journey to Hong Kong and Southern China. At the time it was the largest Martial Arts contingent from New Zealand to travel to China.
This short clip features some of the highlights from the 14 day journey.
Of the 20 strong group, 18 were Wing Tsun practioners (I being one of the two non Wing Tsun guys) , so we ended up seeing a lot of Wing Tsun as is evident in the video. The more recent 2007 Journey featured many more styles including Hung Gar, Hop Gar, White Eyebrow, Bagua, Tai Chi, Modern Wushu and more. Check out some of the action under my Guangzhou, Tianjin and Beijing Kung Clips.
