Yesterday, I hiked for a solo hanami at Suma Rikyu Park. It was so big and there was an abundance of flowers and plants. I bet it is also nice to come here during the Autumn season, ah nope, it's beautiful at any season! This video won't give justice to how refreshing and pretty the place is. Sorry! ????

Sumaura Koen offers one of the best views of Kobe from the top of the mountain. There is a cable car ride to the top, or you can walk the trail to the top for free. Watch the video to see all the sights along the trail and the wonderful view of Suma beach and Kobe city from the top of the mountain. There is also a retro game center at the top.

Suma Rikyu Koen 須磨離宮公園
Suma Rikyu Koen an extensive park spread out over 82.6 hectares, with a rose filled main garden, cherry tree area (beautiful during the sakura season!), iris garden, camellia garden, and botanical garden with a greenhouse, and more. There’s a playground and picnic area, and athletic obstacle for kids (and adults up for the challenge!) making it a kid friendly option for those travelling with children and looking for a fun place to get them active and keep them entertained.
This park is open daily, from 9:00 to 17:00, with the last entry at 16:30. It is closed on Thursday, unless Thursday is a public holiday, in which case its closed the following day instead.
There is a ¥400 admission fee for adults, and ¥200 for children.
The nearest station is Tsukimiyama (Suma Rikyu Koen-mae) on the Sanyo Line (less than 10 minutes walk), or if you’re travelling by JR, it’s a little longer walk from Suma JR Station.

もみじが見頃の須磨離宮公園で撮影してきました。
ドラマ華麗なる一族のモデルとなった旧神戸銀行頭取の屋敷があった場所、
植物園の今が最高の鮮やかな朱色に染められたもみじが見れました。
噴水広場からの海が見える絶景場所にあるところです。

Mount Rokko (六甲山, Rokkōsan, 931 meters) is the highest peak in the Rokko mountain range, which provides the pleasant green backdrop to the city of Kobe. Panoramic views of the heavily urbanized Hanshin region (Kobe and Osaka) can be enjoyed from the mountain and are particularly spectacular around sunset.
