Cycle Tours Maine and Abroad: Summer Feet Cycling!
It isn't summer yet here in New England, but trust us- the days are getting longer and the weather is getting warmer (however slowly), and Norman Patry of Summer Feet Cycling is ready. Norm talks to Fred about what it means to have summer feet, and we get a sneak peek at some footage Fred took of the Maine based luxury cycling tour company's flagship bike tour, the 5 Lighthouse tour. The 5 lighthouse tour is a scenic casual ride that gives riders and visitors to the Maine Coast an in depth overview of Maine landmarks like Bug Light, Two Lights and Portland Headlight at Fort Williams State Park with a lobster roll lunch and a history of the area all included!
BREWS and BIKES | Lewiston, Maine
DAY TWO in Maine I woke up in the Hilton Garden Inn in Lewiston/Auburn a mill town 35 minutes north of Portland. There I headed to Mt Apatite to go mountain biking with Disa and Chris from the Central Maine Chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association gave me a tour. It was pretty intense but I loved it!
►In Partnership with Visit Maine:
►Sunglass Warehouse: Burton -
►Sunglass Warehouse: Men & Women for $15 AVERAGE PRICE per pair -
I then headed back to Lewiston to visit Baxter Brewery, the third largest brewery in the state. Bill the CEO gave me a tour of the brewery where I had a flight of their delicious beers. My favorite was the Window Seat which a coconut stout! From there I walked over to Fish Bones American Grill to have a quick fish sandwich.
Next up I drove down to Portland the capital where I met with Norman from Summer Feet Cycling. We went cycled around the city and made a stop at two breweries, High Tide Brewery and Urban Farm Fermentory. High Tide was amazing and what I loved about Urban Farm Fermentory was the mead, honey wine.
To finish off the night I headed to one of the best restaurants in the city Five Fifty-Five. I went with their tasting menu, mussels, scallops and the best dish was the lobster mac and cheese!
I hope you loved this video! Have you been to Maine? Please let me know your favorite spots.

Portland, Maine Doesn’t Want RV’s Anymore!!
MORE DETAILS (Click “Show More”)
It just continues. This is why I don't share GPS locations anymore. Some idiots just have to ruin it for everyone. And then the entire city, sometimes the entire state denies RV's and travelers from even parking during the daytime to spend money in the communities. It's so sad. Half the blame falls the tent camper abusing the lot, but the other half of the blame must land on City of Portland officials. Punishing ALL FUTURE RV tourists for the actions of one local squatter?? It's laziness, and terrible for the city, state, and the Northeast in general. I'm saddened. But this is what happens. It's just getting worse. I'm not contributing to the actions of others which result in closures and RV banning, but it still hurts. I will keep looking for other places to explore in Maine that are both new and fresh, and away from cities (since they don't want our money anyway)

Fun Free Things To Do In Acadia Maine and Bar Harbor
Welcome to Acadia Maine and Bar Harbor. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and surrounding villages, is a stunning national treasure on the coast of Maine. We went for a family reunion and left with amazing memories.
I am avid cyclist so this was by far my favorite part of the trip. Bike the trails in Acadia National Park. Although bikes are not allowed on hiking trails, there is plenty of room for adventure, from the 27-mile Park Loop Road to the 45 miles of carriage roads that are available to cyclists. We went on carriage roads and loved it. We rented our bikes from a local shop in town. We were able to get kids bikes and trailers to bring the little ones along.
Visit the sights at Bar Harbor. Stroll the shops. Get some famous moon pie. Relax in one of there many parks. We personally loved some artisan chocolate made in town with some fresh Maine Blueberries.
Drive up Cadillac Mountain. Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park, at 1,530 feet, is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard and the first place to view sunrise in the United States from October 7 through March 6. It gives you a gorgeous view of the shoreline and surrounding areas. We had a large picnic there with our big bunch.
Check out Thunder Hole. Thunder Hole is the place in Acadia National Park to experience the thunder of the sea against the rocky shores of Maine! On calm days, like the one we went, you may wonder what the fuss is all about. But wait until the waves kick up a few notches. Thunder Hole is a small inlet, naturally carved out of the rocks, where the waves roll into. At the end of this inlet, down low, is a small cavern where, when the rush of the wave arrives, air and water is forced out like a clap of distant thunder. Water may spout as high as 40 feet with a thunderous roar! Hence the name: Thunder Hole.
Eat lobster that can be delivered straight to your campsite. You heard me right, lobster delivered to your campsite. Best experience ever!
If you know of fun things to do in Acadia and Bar Harbor please comment below. Thank you for watching our adventure, now go out there and make your own.

Want to go on the best lobster cruise in Portland? My favorite is the Lucky Catch Cruise. What makes this company so different is the education you receive about the lobster industry and all that goes into a lobster fishing trip. We hauled in traps, learned about the anatomy of a lobster, and bound their claws. One of the coolest parts about this lobster tour is that they work in partnership with a local restaurant. Head over to the Portland Lobster Company where they take what we catch from the lobstering excursion and eat your fill! As far as Portland, Maine tour boats, this is the best.

Acadia Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about nature park Acadia in the USA.
The Acadia National Park is located in the North Eastern region of Maine in the United States and measures 142 square kilometres The close proximity of the North Atlantic Ocean to the coastal forest landscape is one of the park’s irresistible attractions.During fall, the season in which New England is at its most magnificent, the forests come alive with soft, warm colours and the entire landscape becomes transformed by this ‘fifth season’ of the year. Thunder Hole is a further attraction. Onlookers seem almost awe struck when witnessing the relentless might of the Atlantic and the unexpected sound of thunder that emanates from a small cave within the granite cliffs caused by the sea as it floods into the air-filled cave thus releasing the air pressure from within with fantastic, thunderous effect. Loop Road is a scenic route that travels from coast to countryside and passes a picturesque and charming semi-timbered house, the Jordan Pond Gate House, built by John D. Rockefeller in1932. Created from a glacier, Jordan Pond is relatively deep and at its northern end there are two round hills, the ‘Bubbles’ from the summit of which the vast landscape of the glowing forest below is even more impressive. Cadillac Mountain is the highest point on the North Atlantic coast. The scant vegetation of this area is quite surprising especially as it is in such close proximity to the nearby forests. During September, when the first so-called ‘leaf reports’ are announced in the newspapers and on television, there’s an air of excitement. The beginning of the Indian Summer is the time of the ‘Leaf Peepers.’ Whether they travel to the park by car, foot, horse and carriage or by way of a rented mountain bike, visitors to Acadia’s beautiful forests have a wide selection of leaves from which to choose. During fall, the red and orange of the maple trees and the golden yellow hues of aspen and birch melt together in a breathtaking carpet of colour that seems to cover the entire country. Acadia is a veritable arcadia!
