757. Cave Rock, Sumner Beach walk-thru, part 1 of 2.
Part 7 of 8 parts, which I recorded earlier today, Saturday 17 February 2018, at or directly alongside, Sumner Beach, a popular seaside area in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Here are walk-throughs of Cave Rock, one each way, and showing some detail of the rock both inside and out, and of the surroundings.
Today was gorgeous, about 26*C, but at times there was no wind at all, then all of a sudden a very strong wind would come up, before fading away again for awhile.
Earlier I had thought about climbing the crude rock steps to the top, but decided that my chosen outfit, an off the shoulder 8/8 dress and sandals, was not suitable for that purpose. Note to self, next time I go to Cave Rock and want to film from the top, wear jeans and sandshoes.

We go to Sumner Beach, climb rocks at Cave Rock, drive on precarious roads, and enjoy scenery at Godley Head!

HIKING IN CHRISTCHURCH - Godley Heads, New Zealand
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody! Hope you all have a wonderful festive season.
While we were looking for the best things to do in Christchurch, our friends decided to take us hiking in Godley Head, just a short drive away from the city.
This beautiful place is perfect for mountain biking, hiking and hanging out at the gorgeous beaches, and we have an amazing time exploring the old World War 2 buildings and stunning coastline.
It's definitely not to be missed when you are travelling to New Zealand. For such an easy walk, the rewards are massive. Seriously, how good are these views?!

New Zealand: Christchurch Day 2
Everyone slept in but when we did get going the first place we headed to was Sumner beach. Explored Cave Rock from top to bottom, then rented a board and caught a quick surf sesh in. Turns out kai was not a huge fan of the waves though yet. After the beach we headed off for Willowbank Wildlife Reserve where we saw some amazing local animals, including our first Kiwis! Finally, we explored some cool parts of Christchurch around our airbnb.
