Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles
One of the most iconic thoroughfares in the United States, Sunset Boulevard continues to live up to its legends. In the old days, it represented the classic and glamorous Hollywood lifestyle and became the setting of several famous films, including the obvious classic Sunset Boulevard. Today, the palm-lined street (which connects downtown LA to Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the Pacific Coast Highway) retains its cinematic appeal, and the Sunset Strip portion has become a popular nightlife spot. The strip is also home to many classic music venues, including the Rainbow Bar & Grill and The Roxy Theatre.
Recent visitors loved driving along this famous boulevard, adding that gorgeous sunsets can be enjoyed during late afternoon drives. But like other parts of LA, this thoroughfare gets congested once rush hour hits, so plan accordingly.
Streets by VICE: Los Angeles (Sunset Boulevard)
Sunset Boulevard has become shorthand for what Los Angeles represents in the collective imagination. Most people do not see Los Angeles themselves, and instead imagine the world of fame and affluence they see on their TV screens. However, the reality of Los Angeles is not one glamorous place or setting – instead, it is a gigantic, diverse and complicated city, divided by its disparate neighborhoods. To know it you have to travel from east to west, across colliding communities that evoke both glitz and grit. In this episode of City Guides we drive along Sunset Boulevard, stopping at venues and speaking with native Angelenos about the economic and cultural influences that have defined and transformed their neighborhoods.

4K HD Los Angeles Driving: Sunset Boulevard
Driving on the infamous Sunset Boulevard ironically on a minimally sunny day in none other than Los Angeles.
I wanted to pick back up my 4K UHD driving videos. This time I chose Sunset Boulevard, starting at the point pretty close to my current apartment. I start you off in West Hollywood at the one and only Sunset Strip, then we move into the lush Beverly Hills Flats. Just when you think it couldn’t be a wealthier area, we move into Hombly Hills within Beverly Hills and skirt right past Bel-Air. Finally finishing off at Westwood and I’m cutting the video short before it gets into Brentwood and finally the Palisades.
Honestly Sunset is of my favorite streets to drive on in LA and I take it home from work every single day. I’m just showing you an unedited glimpse of a random drive I did today on MLK weekend because there’s less traffic so you can see the street without a million red lights.
Think of this video as positive energy I’m putting out into the YouTube world to counteract all of my bad drivers videos. I really do love LA and was to spotlight it better. This is more ASMR relaxing vibes and if you’re looking for crazy driving literally watch any other video I’ve posted. Why it’s so shaky I honestly don’t know and if you tell how to fix it I will venmo you $5.
Now for some facts on Sunset Boulevard from wiki.
Sunset Boulevard is a boulevard in the central and western part of Los Angeles, California that stretches from the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades east to Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles. It is a major thoroughfare in the cities of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood (including a portion known as the Sunset Strip), as well as several districts in Los Angeles. Approximately 22 miles (35 km) in length the boulevard roughly traces the arc of mountains that form part of the northern boundary of the Los Angeles Basin, following the path of a 1780s cattle trail from the Pueblo de Los Angeles to the ocean.
The boulevard has curvaceous winding stretches, and can be treacherous for unalert drivers in some sections. Sunset Boulevard is at least four lanes wide along its entire route. Sunset is frequently congested with traffic loads beyond its design capacity.
The Sunset Strip portion of Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood has been famous for its active nightlife since at least the 1950s.
In contrast to other American cities where it referred to a concentration of radio retailers, in Los Angeles, Radio Row was understood in the 1940s-1950s as the area around the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood, where the broadcasting facilities of all four major radio networks were located.
In the 1970s, the area between Gardner Street and Western Avenue was a center for street prostitution. Shortly after a much publicized incident in late June 1995, police raids drove out the majority of prostitutes on the Boulevard.
The portion of Sunset Boulevard that passes through Beverly Hills was once named Beverly Boulevard.
The boulevard is commemorated in Billy Wilder's film Sunset Boulevard (1950), the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical of the same name, and the 1950s television series 77 Sunset Strip. Jan and Dean's 1960s hit song Dead Man's Curve refers to a section of the road near Bel Air estates just north of UCLA's Drake Stadium where Jan Berry almost died in an automobile accident in 1966. The Buffalo Springfield song For What It's Worth was written about a riot at Pandora's Box, a Sunset Strip club, in 1966.
Noteable places include: Amoeba Records, Beverly Hills Hotel, Blessed Sacrament Church, Book Soup, Carney's, CBS Columbia Square, Chateau Marmont, Cinerama Dome, Comedy Store, Crossroads of the World, Directors Guild of America headquarters, Dudley Do-Right Emporium, Earl Carroll Theatre, The Garden of Allah, Gower Gulch, Hollywood Athletic Club, Hollywood High School, Hollywood Palladium, Hotel Bel-Air, House of Blues, Hyatt West Hollywood, KCET, KTLA, The London Fog, Los Angeles Film School, Marymount High School, Metromedia Square (the former Fox Television Center and KTTV studios), Nickelodeon on Sunset, Palisades Charter High School, Psychiatry: An Industry of Death Museum, Rainbow Bar and Grill, Rock Walk, The Roxy Theatre, Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, Spago, Standard Hotel, Sunset Junction, Sunset Gower Studios, Tiffany Theatre, Tiki Ti, UCLA, Viper Room, Whisky a Go Go, Will Rogers State Beach and Will Rogers State Historic Park

Sunset Boulevard, Part 20: Fairfax Ave. To Laurel Canyon Blvd., Hollywood
This is episode 20 in my Walk to the Ocean via Sunset Blvd. A very short section but plenty to see.
Sunset Boulevard is a boulevard in the central and western part of Los Angeles County, California that stretches from Figueroa Street in Downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Coast Highway at the Pacific Ocean.
Approximately 22 miles in length, the boulevard roughly traces the arc of mountains that form part of the northern boundary of the Los Angeles Basin, following the path of a 1780s cattle trail from the Pueblo de Los Angeles to the ocean.
From Downtown Los Angeles, it heads northwest, to Hollywood, through which it travels due west for several miles before it bends southwest towards the ocean. It passes through or near Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Holmby Hills. In Bel-Air, Sunset Boulevard runs along the northern boundary of UCLA's Westwood campus. The boulevard continues through Brentwood to Pacific Palisades where it terminates at the Pacific Coast Highway intersection.
The boulevard has curvaceous winding stretches, and can be treacherous for unaware drivers in some sections. It is at least four lanes wide along its entire route. Sunset is frequently congested with traffic loads beyond its design capacity.

Driving on Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles, California, USA.
No music.
Learn about Shoe tossing:
Olympic Boulevard (formerly 10th Street) is a major arterial road in Los Angeles, California.
It stretches from Ocean Avenue on the western end of Santa Monica to East Los Angeles—farther than Wilshire Boulevard and most other streets.
Its path runs parallel to and north of Pico Boulevard from Santa Monica to Downtown Los Angeles, and parallel to and south of Santa Monica Boulevard on its western end and Wilshire Boulevard past Beverly Hills.
Like other major Los Angeles streets, Olympic is at least four lanes in width.
Unlike other east-west arterial roads such as Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard, and Sunset Boulevard, it does not cross major attractions and sites and therefore contains far less traffic.
While Wilshire crosses through the heart of Los Angeles, Olympic runs through the southern end of principal areas such as West Los Angeles, Westwood, Century City, Beverly Hills, Hancock Park, Koreatown, Westlake and Downtown Los Angeles. Little Ethiopia is east of Fairfax Avenue and Olympic.
Proceeding east on Olympic, it breaks off in Downtown LA's Fashion District but continues on from there, passing the southern areas of Boyle Heights, East Los Angeles and Montebello with an eastern terminus in Montebello as a small neighborhood street.
Olympic Boulevard is primarily a commercial, urban street.
There is a grass divider with trees in the Santa Monica portion. Around Carthay, Olympic passes through residential neighborhoods.
A number of schools are located on Olympic as well. Crossroads School is located at Olympic and 20th in Santa Monica, New Roads Middle School is located at the Franklin/Berkeley St. area in Santa Monica.
and Wildwood School is located in between Bundy and Barrington. Los Angeles High School is located slightly to the east of Olympic and Highland Avenue.
Olympic expands to six lanes starting east of Santa Monica and generally maintains a speed limit of 45 miles per hour (72 km/h). Even so, due to Los Angeles traffic, Olympic often becomes congested.
It was originally named 10th Street, but was renamed Olympic Boulevard for the 1932 Summer Olympics, as that was the occasion of the tenth modern event.
Tenth Street School, at Olympic and Grattan, was founded in 1888 and has kept the original name. Parts of the old 10th Street exist as smaller streets near Hancock Park, in Westlake, and in the Central City East area southeast of Downtown.
