Lovely Day in Ao Nang | Night Market Krabi-Town | Sofian Worldwide #04

Ao Nang, Krabi - Thailand's one of best destination
Looking out on the plane window it was disappointing to see all the thunderstorm clouds covering Krabi. Once landed we took a shuttle from the Airport to Ao Nang, a very popular beach destination in the Andaman Sea. Our accommodation was around 50 min away from the airport and cost us 150 THB / head.
As the thunderstorm clouds slowly faded away, the rain stopped and you could witness this amazing scenery of the clouds lifting up from Krabi’s, hundreds of cliffs and beautiful green mountains.
We arrived to Cliff View Resort, it felt like you are in the middle of the jungle. The sounds of the jungle made its presence, you could hear the crickets, insects, frogs and green vegetation was simply mesmerising.
We stayed at one of these summer wooden villas, it wasn’t the tidiest little things but for the price it was worth it. Payed just under £13/night, including breakfast.
Suddenly the jungle went silent and within 15 – 20 minutes the rain started pouring down. Until the rain will stop again, we decided to go to one of the restaurants and try out some thai food.
We had some really good food, made peace with our enemies as Ciprian say’s quite often.
After all that good food, you had to have a thai massage as well, so that was our next destination. 1 hour thai massage, costs around £6 and can be really relaxing, or not, depending how hard the masseuse breaks you bones.
By the time we finished with the massage, the rain stopped and explored further on the island and its food.
2nd Day in Ao Nang, really excited, a 1 day private boat trip around the islands and beaches, just like the once on your favourite wallpapers.

More details about our trip:
The day after Christmas, we left for Krabi, Thailand.
We stayed in Ao Nang; our hotel was called Little Home Ao Nang. It was very simple, but cute. I recommend it as a great budget hotel.
At Ao Nang beach, there are plenty of long tail boats to catch a quick ride to one of the other nearby beaches. Our first day we went to Railay beach. Honestly, we were not too impressed, as it was very busy and constantly bustling with boats coming and going.
The next day I booked a Hong Island snorkel/kayak tour through Viator. While it was very beautiful, the tour itself was rushed and I would not recommend it. Instead, just take a boat yourself to Hong Island and you can rend a kayak there and go to the lagoon. (Going with a tour was unnecessary).
Our favorite beach was Phra Nang Cave beach, which is on the other side of Railay beach. It is stunning and peaceful- if you go on the other side of the beach away from the cave and food boats, it is a lot more mellow. We spent two beach days there. It is a beautiful beach, with a lot of monkeys, too!
New Years Eve at Ao Nang is super busy and crowded, but a cool experience. You can buy lanterns everywhere that evening, and people crowd the beaches to light them. I initially was not a fan of doing this, because of ocean pollution, but after watching everyone light theres, Dylan really wanted to try a lantern. The sky did look magical with all the lanterns and fireworks that went off at midnight.
Our last day we went on a sunset snorkel cruise with Krabi Sunset Cruises. That was definitely the highlight of our time at the beach. The boat was awesome and the staff were amazing. We did a jaw-dropping open-water snorkel and I got to paddle-board for the first time. It was an amazing day of water adventure.
At night, we went swimming in the bioluminescent plankton, which unfortunately does not show up on camera.
I highly recommend booking a day with them!

Ao Nang Beach & Food Tour | Hidden Authentic Thai Food Restaurant | Non-Touristy Krabi, Thailand
Ao Nang in the Krabi province of Thailand is arguably one of the best beach destinations in all of Thailand and maybe South-East Asia. Tourists flock to the area to visit its plentiful islands that are overlooked with Karst formations. As you can imagine the small town has become extremely touristy as a result. Don't fret though, there are still lots of places to visit in the town!
In this vlog, we walk to down the main street of Ao Nang, watch the sunset at the beach and head to one of the best restaurants we ate at during our time in Thailand. Located off the main drag of tourist restaurants, Family Thailand & Seafood restaurant is a hidden gem of mouth-watering authentic Thai food. It's not to be missed! The open-air restaurant almost resembles a street food shop. Everything is homemade and created with love by the family that owns the restaurant. We actually ate at the restaurant twice we loved it so much. After our meal, head to a street food shop to try roll ice cream. If you like ice cream this is definitely worth trying and a unique experience to watch.

Pluses:
The room was spacious and clean, staff friendly. Really liked poolside.
The room very spacious and bed very comfortable. Have Panoramic view of the Cliff from the balcony.
Great staff, nice facilities and a good breakfast! Perfect location: 7/11, atms and some nice restaurants nearby. 10 min walk to the beach
Minuses:
The toilet especially when before entering the shower left side is WC. Should install a door because just transparent curtains can see tru very awkward during doing business.
Its surrounded by a construction site, but that will be done in less than half a year i believe. Sometimes the drills or other machines where loud and we could hear it at the poolside.
Ao Nang Beach - Krabi, Thailand
Sunset stroll at Ao Nang Beach, Krabi, Thailand. Lots of boats, people plus cars on the road above. Wouldn't swim at this beach personally but it is easy to book a boat to all the islands with pretty beaches in the area. There are many good places to dine and drink along the beach road.

Ao Nang is a beautiful and relaxing place. There are plenty of nightclubs and bars and some of the best Krabi nightlife is in Ao Nang. You’ll find a huge range of delicious Thai food and Thai cuisine in any Thai restaurant there, and there’s loads of awesome Thai street food outside on the streets. There's also restaurants and cuisine from all around the world. Ao Nang is also home to some awesome markets with cheap shopping and there are loads of tours you can do from there: kayaking, island hopping, rock climbing, temples, national parks, waterfalls … Ao Nang has it all! Ao Nang is about 15 minutes from Railay Beach, 50 minutes from Koh Phi Phi Island, 20 minutes from Krabi Town and 2.5 hours from Phuket Thailand by road or sea.

Krabi is about 2-3 hours from Phuket by land or sea, and has world class accommodation standards comparable to what you find in Phuket hotels and resorts, but in a more relaxed environment.
