Fall Landlocked Salmon Fishing (New Jersey)
Kayaking for late fall salmon. The salmon were being pretty finicky this day but I was still able to catch 3 by trolling and casting to blowups. The lure that was most productive was a 1/8th kastmaster in the rainbow trout color.

Kayak NJ Uppder Delware River Trip Day 2 Callicoon to Skinners Falls 062315
Kayak NJ Upper Delaware River Trip Day to Callicoon to Skinners Falls
flatwaterkayaker.com
Day 2 of our trip began under some threatening weather. As we reached the put in in Callicoon thunder rumbled and the rain began. We hit the water under showers. Rain just adds to the adventure. Paddling down stream the rain stopped and the sun came out. Fishing was a little better for the anglers on the trip as the waters of the river began to clear. This section of the river was a nice float with no real challenging sections to contend with. The water level also began to subside. Amazing how quickly the water rises and falls. Had some incredible eagle sightings. Toward our take out at Skinner Falls the weather began to change again. Rumbles of thunder grew louder and the skies blackened as the winds kicked up. I watched an eagle perched in a tree as its feathers ruffled in the strong wind. After a while it took off soaring overhead. Was a great end to a great day on the Upper Delaware River.
Stephens State Forest
This park totals 15,170 acres. There are 30 miles of trails that are designated for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and/or snowmobiling. The 79 campsites (42 are equestrian) are open year-round. All campgrounds are primitive with no electricity but most have water hydrants available. Picnic tables, fire rings, and pit vault latrines are available. Firewood for campfires may be cut from dead and down trees but power chain saws are not allowed. The Cedar Creek and 1000 acres units are wonderful for off-road biking and hunting. The entire forest (except the campgrounds) provides excellent hunting opportunities for many species, especially deer and turkey. There are four large ponds stocked with bluegill, large-mouth bass, and catfish.

Kayaking the Wading River, Pine Barrens, NJ, May 5-7 2017
Kayaking the Wading River with Rick Wiebush and Cross Currents Sea Kayaking. The Wading River is a tributary of the Mullica River, approximately 10.1 miles (16.3 km) long, in southern New Jersey. The river drains a rural forested area of the Pinelands, one of the most pristine areas along the coast of the northeastern United States.
The primary source of the Wading River is its 22.7-mile-long (36.5 km) West Branch, which rises north of Chatsworth in central Burlington County, south of Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, and flows generally south through Wharton State Forest. It joins the Oswego River near Harrisville to form the main stem of the Wading River. The Wading River flows southeast and joins the Mullica River from the north near its mouth, approximately 10 miles (16 km) north of Atlantic City. The lower 3 miles (5 km) of the river forms a navigable estuary, an arm of the estuary of the Mullica, just west of the Garden State Parkway.
My first time kayaking at Princeton canal in NJ.
I went Kayaking for the first time on Saturday June 13th 2015 at Princeton canal in NJ. I would suggest watching video linked below by expert village. I watched it 4 times. Instructions are not offered at the canal shop as they are not certified.

Beautiful historic area in NJ. My first video edited with iMovie on my iPad Air . Took me about an hour to edit. Not bad (IMHO). I cut out most of the boring stuff, but I could have cut more - the music (from iMovie) was too short
