Todo el mundo que visita Hollywood conserva la pequeña esperanza de toparse con algún 'celebrity' en algún momento del viaje, aunque la cosa no resulte tan fácil como parece.
Para quien una sus obsesiones sea ver a un famoso, es recomendable subirse al 'tour' del programa de televisión TMZ, especializado en el seguimiento de las 'celebrities'. El paseo se hace en un pequeño autobús y recorre los lugares que frecuentan las estrellas en su tiempo libre. Podría considerarse algo así como el tour del paparazzi, ya que el pasajero tiene la sensación de estar en aquellos lugares donde podría aparecer un famoso en cualquier momento.
El 'tour' muestra, por ejemplo, el restaurante donde come Oprah Winfrey, la comisaría a la que acude Lindsay Lohan, la tienda en la que robó Winona Ryder, la esquina donde Hugh Grant recogió a una prostituta o el colegio donde un día estudiaron los Red Hot Chilli Peppers o la actriz Demi Moore.
Para hacer el paseo aún más realista, el guía del 'tour' es Van Lathan, uno de los paparazzi del programa de televisión TMZ. En caso de que el bus se tope con algún 'celebrity', el autobús se detiene, el 'guía-paparazzi' salta velozmente del vehículo con la cámara en la mano y se acerca hasta el famoso para hacerle una entrevista.
Los pasajeros están avisados y si son ellos los primeros en avistar al famoso, tienen órdenes de avisar rápidamente al guía para que no se le escape la entrevista. El turista que identifique al 'celebrity' es obsequiado con una camiseta del tour como muestra de agradecimiento.
La cámara que llevamos en el bus es realmente un iPhone con un foco. Así cuando terminamos la entrevista podemos subirla directamente a nuestro portal de TMZ y está lista lo antes posible, nos comenta Van.
El 'tour' solamente está disponible en inglés y dura aproximadamente dos horas. El autobús también cuenta con un par de pantallas de televisión que muestran los mismos vídeos que aparecen en el programa, con imágenes y explicaciones de cada punto que se visita.
Puede que todo esto suene a un pasatiempo más para los amantes del cotilleo, pero no cabe duda de que es un buen plan alternativo para conocer los rincones menos turísticos de la ciudad, y con un poco de suerte, encontrarse con alguno de sus célebres residentes.

During our bus tour of L.A. and the surrounding Hollywood Hills areas, we drove past some celebrity homes. I definitely miss seeing this house on television.

11:45am - Going away a little bit from the Controversy my main visit was actually to LA just a little detour for a couple of days to San Diego, here we have British Billy Walker, our tour guide, Love the accent lol, as we had, 2 fellow Californians in front of me, couple of Australians behind me and on my left were a couple of Texans, Houston to be exact(from Philadelphia) lol and im from San Francisco, well SSF to be exact. Brad Pitt who worked at Pollo Loco, @4:13 Billy catches me recording him, and the whole tour, which was okay but told me not to film the TV screens while they have the video on, so he says carry on recording or else he'll get whipped and chained by Harvey Levin lol hoping he doesn't sue me...I wanted to ask billy, but forgot how often does Harvey fly off to NY for the Peoples Court and who does the voice over the videos they show here on the screens and on TMZ the tv show.
