Today, we decided to bring our GoPro and wander through Suzhou, a city west of Shanghai, best known for its meticulously manicured gardens, romantic canals with arched stone bridges, pagodas, and temples dotted amongst the modern city elements.
Today, Suzhou is one of the largest and most prosperous industrial cities in China. It is also one of China’s most popular tourist destinations full of UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites. Lythic Concrete Show Suzhou, China
FLOORmaps (Rachel Knigge) went to China for 2 weeks. The 1st week was spent in Suzhou, China & Rachel did a demo at a show put on by Lythic at the Bonddex facility in Suzhou. Blastrac featured their equipment & Ashine (Jack & Kathren) assisted Rachel w/ the install. Milo, who works w/ Lythic, rocked the mic w/ explanations & translations.

Maple Bridge (Fengqiao) in Suzhou
Located about 3.5 kilometers to Suzhou Ancient City, the Maple Bridge is a single-arch stone bridge across the ancient Jinghang Grand Canal. It is well-known to the tourists because of a poem called 'A Night Mooring near Maple Bridge'. In a cold and lonely evening, the poet moored at the Maple Bridge. Inspired by the splendid night scenery near the bridge, he wrote that poem.
It is difficult to trace the origin of the Maple Bridge. The present bridge was rebuilt in 1867 with a length of about 40 meters.
