Hidden Forest Hike
The Hidden Forest Trail is located a little over an hour outside Las Vegas in the Desert Wildlife Refuge. This trail leads to an old cabin that was built in the late 1800's.
This hike is 10.2 miles there and back if you are hiking to the cabin. You can continue to Hayford Peak. This makes the hike a 14.6 mile hike.

Frenchman Mountain Trail - Hiking Video Tour (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Frenchman Mountain Trail is a really cool hike that offers great views of the Las Vegas valley. There are two little summits, one mile apart from each other. The out of back route is 4.4 miles miles total. If hiking in the summer, bring loads of water!! There is no shade on this route! Parking is free and easy! There is a Strava route up and down, it's a tough run!!
--------
Frenchman Mountain Trail is a 4.4 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near North Las Vegas, Nevada that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
Distance: 4.4 miles
Elevation Gain: 2,139 feet
Route Type: Out & Back
This is a very steep gravel road. The best time to hike this would be fall, winter, or spring. Don't let the steepness stop you from going all the way to the top as the view is spectacular. If it is a clear day you can see all the casinos to the southwest. Looking west is Red Rock and Mount Charleston. To the northwest you can see Nellis Air Base and farther north the Las Vegas Speedway. Keep an eye out for jets taking off and landing at the Air Base.

Hiking Goldstrike Canyon Hot Springs Las Vegas Nevada
Located in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area along the Colorado River, Gold Strike Canyon contains a number of natural hot springs, ranging in temperature from 70 to 144 degrees. It is possible, albeit rather dangerous, to reach the springs by canoe, but most visitors prefer to make the six-mile hike to the pools from U.S. Highway 93, which takes about two and a half hours.
Features to look for along the way include a water fall, numerous caves, crystalline stalactites and stalagmites, narrow passages, and 100-foot-high canyon walls. Scrambling across boulders is required to reach the hot spring pools, which are terraced into the landscape for about 100 yards. Many of the pools are deep enough for bathing and even swimming. They have a slightly blue-green tint due to the algae that grows in the very hottest water.
To get there from Las Vegas, take U.S. Highway 93 south toward Boulder City and Hoover Dam. About half a mile past the Hacienda Casino (aka the former Goldstrike Casino), take a right onto the road that goes south under the new highway. At the fork in the road past the east-bound highway on-ramp, turn left and go down to the bottom of the canyon. A half-mile further on, the road ends at the trailhead. FOLLOW MOUNTAIN DO

Why Las Vegas for Hiking in Utah?
A cheap and fancy travel destination to get to the Western United States
Utah is a western U.S. state and one of my most favorite states. It has so much to offer for its travelers and visitors. Utah mostly has massive areas of desert and Wasatch Range mountains which stretches nearly 160 miles.
If you are visiting southern part of Utah, for example beautiful Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park, you could choose a different and cheaper flight itinerary. Las Vegas is the town of beautiful casino hotels, incredible concerts & shows, shops, and restaurants; but, at the same time, it is relatively a cheap flight destination from most of the cities. Las Vegas is always attracting its visitors and gamblers from around the world and because of high numbers of flights, usually flights and car rentals are cheap. At the same time, from Las Vegas in State of Nevada to Zion National Park in Utah, it is a much shorter driving distance compare from Salt Lake City to Zion; approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes rather than 4 hours and 30 minutes.
In this video blog, I fly from East Coast of the United States to Las Vegas and stay over night in Las Vegas. The next day, I drive to Utah to stay for two nights in a city called Cedar City near Zion National Park.
Before I leave Nevada, I like to try some good quality foods in one of the luxuries casino hotels in Las Vegas. Please watch my posted video blog on my YouTube channel and stay tuned for my upcoming videos.

Hiking Mary Jane Falls Trail in Las Vegas Nevada | Snow at Mount Charleston
???? SUBSCRIBE -
In this video I take you along on my hike through Mary Jane Falls Trail located at Mount Charleston. This hike and beautiful trail is found just under 1-hour outside of Las Vegas Nevada. I visited this trail in April of 2019 and there was still plenty of snow on the ground although it was beginning to melt.
If you are looking for things to do in Las Vegas that are off the strip, then look no further than Mt Charleston especially if you are visiting in the Winter/Spring. Overall this is an excellent hike and I would highly recommend doing it!
My tips for hiking this trail would be:
- Wear Snow Boots if going during times with snow on the ground
- Stay the trail as much as you can to avoid back-tracking
- Bring plenty of water and snacks

About this video: In this video, Seez Santos and BrandonON go on to hike the Frenchman Mountain trailhead. Frenchman Mountain is located east of Las Vegas in the U.S. state of Nevada. Made up of rocks similar to those found on the bottom of the Grand Canyon, Frenchman Mountain formed when faulting elevated and tilted the rocks followed by erosion, giving it its sharp triangular profile. The mountain provides an example of the Great Unconformity with the tilted Paleozoic Tapeats Sandstone underlain by Paleoproterozoic Vishnu Schist, which is some of the oldest rock on the North American continent, having been created about two billion years ago. The Frenchman Mountain trail is one of the least known about hiking trails in Las Vegas. People often go to Red Rock Canyon or Mt Charleston to see a beautiful hiking trail. Often times it’s in your own backyard! if you're a local you might be wondering what are the best things to do in Las Vegas? I hope this video gives you an answer and opportunity to see the beauty and wonder that is away from the Las Vegas Strip
Things you do when you are sober in Las Vegas.
*I'm little late uploading this video. I've been really busy with my personal life, and since I'm new to all this, it takes me forever to edit a video.
This is my second time visiting Vegas. I never thought I would come back here again, but my sister's boyfriend had told me about this Red Rock Canyon and other hidden gems outside of Vegas strip so I gave another try. Red Rock Canyon is just outside of Vegas and if you are ever in town, this place is a must! But I wouldn't recommend after a night of all-out drinking, hangover and desert aren't a very good mix - X(
If you would like to learn more about Red Rock Canyon, please visit:
Hiking Valley of Fire State Park in Las Vegas with GoPro
We hiked Beehives, Mouse’s Tank, Rainbow Vista, and White Domes Loop at Valley of Fire State Park while in Las Vegas, NV. After looking at outdoor activity options in Vegas on TripAdvisor, I stumbled upon this state park. While Red Rock Canyon gets a lot of hype, as well, I’ve found many who say this state park is more scenic. While I haven’t been to Red Rock Canyon yet, I can say that Valley of Fire does not disappoint! We spent several more hours than planned and barely scratched the surface of what this place has to offer. The views are breathtaking and it’s incredibly peaceful.
We rented a car for the ~40 minute drive, and the cost to get in is only $10/car. It was an incredibly affordable activity (by Las Vegas standards) and offers beautiful views.
Car Rental: less than $50 even after refilling the gas to return it
State Park Entry Fee: $10
TOTAL: $60 (Plus now we had a car for the rest of the day to get up and down the strip!)
I recommend just renting a car and visiting this place on your own vs. an organized tour. We saw the tours letting guests off at short stops/trails and just driving slowly right by the great trails. You’ll spend more and see less by going on an organized tour. I could see this being a good option for those who have mobility issues; otherwise, do it on your own - get out, explore, enjoy.
If you like the outdoors, hiking, physically intensive activities, or breathtaking views, check out Valley of Fire State Park while you’re in Las Vegas.
Trails:
Beehives
Mouse’s Tank
Rainbow Vista
White Domes Loop
Fun Facts:
1) We encountered not 1, but 2 huge Mojave Tarantulas crossing the road on the way out to the park.
2) The desert squirrels by the seating area at White Domes are fun to watch.
3) I showed parts of the Rainbow Vista and White Domes trails in this videos, but in reality, we didn’t even venture more than .5 mi. into either trail. We got so caught up in climbing on stuff that we didn’t have time to explore everything. There’s so much to see!

A quick afternoon trip to Red Rock Canyon just outside Las Vegas, Nevada. We did a few short hikes and ended with a few of the whole loop. A beautiful side trip to take when visiting the Las Vegas area.
PS: Filmed with a GoPro hero 6. I had no idea the disortion 4k / wide mode would have. My apologies!

Arizona Hot Springs Hike, Lake Mead National Park
The Arizona Hot Springs comprises of 4 pools of water ranging from 100 degrees Fahrenheit to 111 degrees at the source. The source provides mineralized water to the pools at an astonishing 30 gallons per minute. If you venture down the ladder, near the last pool, you will have a 1,000-foot walk to the Colorado River. I have done this several times and it is such an amazing sight to see the river at the end of the trail.
The hike is 6 miles round trip and there are two routes that you can take. I have only done the Hot Spring Canyon Trail. I hear that the White Rock Canyon Trail is just as beautiful. I may try that route in a few weeks and update you with a video on Instagram.
I will be creating a hot spring guide soon. It will include everything you need to know about hot spring etiquette, hot to get to certain hot springs and what you need before you go. You can get the complete guide and other guides by subscribing as a Patreon. (Only $1).

RED ROCK CANYON, NEVADA - An easy trip from Las Vegas
Something that completely took us by surprise while visiting Las Vegas is the plethora of opportunities to visit scenic areas just outside of the city. Nestled just a short drive away from Las Vegas strip is the imposing Red Rock Canyon. To visit we partnered with Pink Jeep Tours who whisked us to numerous different vantage points where we had the opportunity to hike, walk and climb certain parts of the National Park. It's definitely an experience I'd recommend to others and it left me feeling nostalgic because the scenery and imposing landscapes are similar to what I experienced backpacking in Northern Argentina five years ago.

Visiting Red Rock Canyon - day trip from Las Vegas Travel Video Script:
On our second day in Las Vegas we decided to escape the city and enjoy a bit of the natural scenery. We joined the Pink Jeep Tour for an afternoon exploring Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Located about a half hour drive outside of the city this is an easy day trip filled with rugged desert landscapes. We spent a few hours driving through the park and also doing a bit of hiking along the way. Here are some of the highlights.
Alright, it's time to climb this bad boy. Okay, show us your climbing skills. Scramble up that mountain. Just like an old man.
So this over here is the Calico Ridge and the landscape reminds me a lot of Northern Argentina.
The toilet. Is the toilet occupied? Hmm. Huh?
Hello, there.
So we are coming to the end of this outing. We're just doing our last little hike through the park and soon we'll be back in Las Vegas. But how did you enjoy it? It's been awesome. It is so nice. I didn't realize that there was so many scenic areas just outside of Las Vegas. And the best part is that I am building up an appetite for an enormous steak. Or sushi? No, steak.
This is part of our Travel in the United States series. We're making a series of videos showcasing American culture, American arts, American foods, American religion, American cuisine and American people.

Gold Strike Hot Springs: Hiking Las Vegas
The INCREDIBLE Gold Strike Hot Springs hike is in Boulder City, about 30 minutes from Las Vegas and Henderson. At about 8.5 miles and 1,000' in elevation change, this hike is rated STRENUOUS. There are several ropes throughout the bouldering sections to help with safe passage. This trail is closed during the summer due to high heat. Take LOTS of water, snacks, and gloves for the rope sections. I have to say, with so much landscape diversity and so many technical aspects, this is my new favorite hike!
